The Last Embrace Chapter 135

The couple cuddled in the bed, Zain can't take his eyes off from his wife's face. He placed his hands on Hannah's stomach. "Our baby is getting bigger inside your tummy, I can't wait to see him born into this world. I will be the best dad for our children!" his eyes shows a high level of excitement.
Jessy rolled her eyes while witnessing the couple's private moments in her invisible form. If only Zain can learn to love Hannah it would benefit everyone.
Since the couple was having sweet moments together she doesn't want to intrude their privacy and become a peeping tom, she might as well teleport herself into her room and stay there for a while and just come back later to check on the couple.
She left the room.
Forty-five minutes later she comes back to check the couple...
Something went wrong!
She was horrified to see Hannah in the corner of the room sitting on the floor, crying.
When he looked at Zain, she doesn't like what she saw on his face...
Gritting her teeth, she quickly teleported Hannah back into her room.
"What did Zain do to you this time?" she asked.
"Nothing...," Hannah refused to tell her the truth.
But the bruises Jessy saw on the woman's arms and face tell her otherwise. Hannah was covering Zain's physical assault on her.
"Hannah, tell me what happened!? If you don't tell me, I will break Zain's leg! You'd better tell me what he'd done to you!" she demanded.
Hannah ceased crying. "He wants me to transfer some of my powers to him so that he can get out of the room, but I refused, then...he starts hurting me..."
"I will teach Zain a lesson!" she hissed in anger.

"Jessy, please don't hurt Zain! His condition is pitiful already, he hurt me because he was depressed and he felt useless and hopeless with his situation. Please understand him," Hannah begged again on behalf of Zain.
She took a deep breath, trying to calm her flaming nerves.
Hannah cried again. "Jessy, please... for the sake of my baby, do not hurt my husband!"
She released a deep sigh. Zain's maltreatment of Hannah was barbaric. She should have been the one suffering right now instead of Hannah, but the poor pregnant woman took all the blows that were meant for her. Her hands form into a fist on her sides, this won't do! Her blood was boiling!
"I'm leaving," she said.
Hannah looked at her with a frightened face. "Are y-you going to punish Zain?"
She shook her head. "No. I'm going to the clinic to start the blood transfusion," she responded with a blank face and left the room.
Outside the room.
Jessy teleported into Zain's room. She was about to show herself to him but that was also the time the Queen entered the room. She decided to stay inside the room in her invisible form to eavesdrop on the mother and son's conversation.
"Mother!" Zain said.
The Queen got tears in her eyes while looking at her eldest son. It's very hard for a mother to see her eldest son confined in a room because he's already a ticking time bomb, as much as she loves her son, she can't set him free because Zain's heart and mind were already coated with hatred and vengeance.
Zain dropped on the floor on bended knee and starts begging for his mother's mercy and forgiveness. "Mother, please forgive me...please get me out of here! I'm going crazy! I can't stand this room!" he said in his pitiful voice, tears glistened in his eyes.

The Queen's tears began to fall. "I'm so sorry, son, I can't let you go outside. Unless you promised me that beginning today you will start forgetting Jessy."
Zain's face turned dark. "No! Jessy and I will start a family soon with our firstborn, she will be my wife until I die! I will never surrender my wife to my brother! Never!" He went back to the bed and sat down on it, he was losing interest talking to his mother.
The Queen was feeling helpless and tormented upon seeing her son's pathetic condition. "I'm so sorry, son, I can't help you."
Zain looked at his mother with sadness in his eyes. "It's clear now that you love Adam more than me, Mother, just leave me alone!" he shouted.
The Queen released a deep breath and with a heavy heart left the room.
While listening in the corner, Jessy somehow felt a surge of pity towards Zain's worsening condition. She comes here to punish Zain for what he had done to Hannah but right now she can't bring herself to punished him. Does she really have to make things worse for Zain by breaking his leg and making him a cripple? Isn't that too much already? He was already hurting inside, his situation has already gotten worst.
No, she can't bring herself to punish him.
From now on it's better that Hannah stops visiting Zain until she will give birth to her baby, she based her decision on Zain's volatile mood, for her, Hannah and the baby's safety is her top priority.
Jessy left the room heading towards the clinic to start another round of blood transfusion.

Nights of Sambria: And the Wish of Light
“I discovered a secret. One I desperately wish could have stayed hidden. It was locked away, concealed in a fantastical world on the doorstep of 7 billion people who stayed utterly oblivious to it. If they will be spared the terror that is coming, I can’t begin to imagine. Know that a forgotten heritage of a dwindling people whispered, unknowingly sending a call to the ancient mysteries of the world. Something listened. And now events are set in motion that could force the earth on a course of terrible change. I am being hunted and have run out of time. There were no stories about it. No legends. Not even scribbles. Yet, the threat of it is real and that’s why I’m writing this warning with shaking hands. So pay attention those who read this, be careful of what lies waiting cloaked in the darkness. That which made their home the lost places of this world.” She folded the letter with a shuddering breath and stared back in the direction from where the noise reverberated through the halls. It was of stone doors shattering one by one. The chances of getting out safely were all but gone. The letter in her hand was all warning they would have. It dropped into one of the Wells and all that could be done now was hope it was found in time, if at all. -- This was my very first large story. ;) I started writing it years ago. Was fun, was difficult, but in the end, it is a story I hope that will inspire. The prologue is in first person perspective and the rest of the story in 3d. Just a little heads-up :P It is a fantasy epic with a contemporary twist for the start. The first arc of the novel is set inside our modern world, but as the mysterious events around Calin intensifies, the hidden secrets in the world start to become more fantastical. The story follows Calin, a young orphan in search of answers. But, the answers he seeks will change his life and that of his friends forever, for the secrets that caused his situation have far greater ramifications than the small village of Lamb's Crest could have known. Remember to leave ratings and reviews. I'm quite interested in hearing your thoughts on the story. ;) Enjoy reading, Omri Hope
