Ten minutes later.

Only Captain Mercado and the driver remained. He instructed the driver to stay outside as he walked back inside the warehouse.

Once inside the warehouse...

"Okay, come up now, if you wanna talk...let's talk!" Captain Mercado said.

Jessy showed herself to the captain.

"What is it that you want?" he asked.

Jessy's eyebrow knitted together. "What do you mean, Uncle?"

"Why did you save me and my men? Why did you help us save the girl? Why did you help capture the kidnappers?" Captain Mercado began firing questions at her.

Jessy looked at him in the eyes. "I saved you and your men because you need saving and I was there when you were about to die. I captured the kidnappers because I can. I help save the girl because I wanted to..."

"Are you doing all this so that I will be feeling grateful to you and I will stop attacking the Facility?" Captain Mercado asked.

Jessy took a deep breath. "When I saved you from certain death, I was not thinking about anything...I just want to save you and your men. I'm doing all this out of the goodness of my heart and not because I want you to stop attacking the Facility, although that's what I been hoping for. But if you will continue attacking the Facility out of the call of duty then we will still be an enemy of each other," she explained.

Captain Mercado stared at the young lady who saved his life. Would he still be willing to be an enemy of the person who saves his life twice?

This is awkward!

"Tell me...what is going inside the Facility?" the captain asked.

"Why should I tell you? when you are the enemy here?" Jessy said.

"Because if you want me to stop attacking the Facility, tell me what's going on inside the Facility so that I can understand where you coming from," said the captain.

Jessy sighed. "I'm currently doing blood transfusion to the remaining vampire, once they received my blood they will transform into mortals after seven days, fangs gone. I have a total of 580 vampires turns to mortal already, a total of 5k vampires needs to be transfused with my blood. Once they become a mortal person, they already lose their powers and they will die just like any mortal, they will no longer craving for blood, they will eat human foods just like you and me."

"Really...? So in the end...you are the only one who will remain the only vampire with power?" he said.

"Yes Uncle, the vampire will no longer exist in this world, I am now called the crossbreed and not a vampire, I don't even have fangs, to begin with, I'm just human with unique powers..." she elaborated. She no longer mentioned Adam to the captain, it might lead to another conflict.

The captain was busy thinking...what is the purpose of bombing and attacking the surviving vampires when in the end they will finally transform into humans? They will become harmless and no longer a threat to society. So what's the point of dragging the 5k human workers because of a pointless killing of the soon to be mortals? What's the point? But then not all people will think the same as him.

Jessy realized that now is the time to tell the captain what she really wants...

"All I need is... you allow me guys to transform the 5k vampires into mortals and not attack the Facility within the next 3 to 5 years. I can guarantee you that were not savages, we are peace-loving vampires. As long we are left to our worlds we don't hurt others, we just want to continue existing in this world in peace side by side with humans," she said.

"Are you sure that you won't become a threat to us?" asked the captain.

Jessy looked the captain in the eye.

"Just don't provoke me...if you attack the Facility...I will start hunting down all of you one by one including your families. You already witness my capabilities, Uncle. I'm willing to help anyone if somebody needs my help but I'm also willing to kill anyone that will harm my clan. Hope you understand my point," she said.

"Let see what can I do..." said the captain... "but I can't promise you anything..." he said.

Jessy smiled a little, at least the captain was willing to listen to her, it's already a good start, she's willing to negotiate with any military officials just to ensure that the Facility won't be attacked in the next five years.

"If I want to ensure the safety of the Facility, tell me, what I'm gonna do Captain?" she asked.

Captain Mercado was pondering for a moment about the young woman's question.

"If you really want the total safety of the entire vampire clan then you need to become the President of the country or become the General since hunting vampires are awarded to the army. If you become any of these two then you can protect your clan for a long time because you already hold the highest power in the country and everyone will follow your command," the captain explained."

Jessy raised her eyebrows. "Then I will run for President in the next election or I will apply to the army and rise from the lower rank up to the highest and become the General of the army," she jokingly said.

"You will never win in the election for President and before you rise to the highest rank in the army your clan are already dead because it takes a long time to get promotions," he said.

Jessy pouted. "Then what I'm gonna do, Uncle?"

"Are you asking for my advice?" he said.

Jessy grinned. "How about you will run for President, Uncle? I will support you. Or you become the General?"

The captain shook his head vigorously.

"I hate Politics, and becoming a General is not easy, there's a lot of people waiting for promotions on that position," he said.

Jessy grinned. "I will help you become the General, Uncle! In return, all you needed to do is protect my clan even for just five years until I can finish transforming them all to mortals! That's all I ever needed from you," she said.

The captain was silent.

"Your offer is good, but in order to become a General you need to amass lots of outstanding achievements to be promoted to that higher position and it's impossible to jump to general right away when there still a lot of ranks that you need to pass through such as Major, Lieutenant Colonel, Colonel, Brigadier General and so on. You just can't start from being a Cadet and skyrocketed to the top and become General, it does not work like that," he said.

Jessy was silent the whole time listening to the captain.

"How about I will put to sleep everyone higher on the rank so that you will become the General? Will that work?" she asked.

The captain smiled and scratched his head. "We both know you're just joking," he said.

Jessy frowned and then smiled. "Yes, of course, I'm just joking," she admitted.

"I will go now...back to the military camp," the captain said.

"Okay, take care, Uncle! The next time I see you I will tell you the place where I hide the weapons and the bomb launcher. Bye Uncle!" she said.

Jessy disappeared after saying goodbye to the captain.

The captain keeps shaking his head.

That young woman is desperate to protect her clan, she will do anything to protect her loved ones. He can understand her point though if he was in her position he will do the same.

Just that they were on the other side of the fence...enemy to each other...but then there is always a way how to end all these.

He was contemplating doing something...for her.
