The Last Embrace Chapter 197

Jessy was lying in the bed in the clinic undergoing her fourth blood transfusion for the day. She saw Princes Abigail looking at her at the glass window. She nods and waved her hand at her acknowledging her presence.
Princess Abigail steps inside the clinic and went to her side. "Mother and Father want to see you after finishing your blood transfusion today," she said.
She smiled at the Princess. "Okay Abi, tell them I'll be there," she replied.
"See you later, Jess!" Princess Abigail exited the clinic.
Jessy stared back at the ceiling of the clinic wondering what the royal couple's decision will be regarding the fate of the fifty vampires stranded in the cave. She was hoping that the royal couple will absorb those poor vampires under their wing. Life is indeed harsh for the rest of the vampires who can't find any shelter during these turbulent times.
Two hours later.
Time for Jessy's break, as she readied herself to get out of the clinic the doctor said something to her.
"Jess, if you have some free time visit Alicia for me. Ask her if she did not encounter any ill health since the day we injected her with the anti-vampire vaccine. We must follow up on her condition because we don't know for sure if she might encounter any side effects brought by the vaccine. I entrusted this task to you because you are the one who can walk freely inside the Habitat. This is an important task, hope you will help me with this matter. Just so you know...sometimes the side effect is subtle and doesn't show right away, we have to be sure....okay?" the doctor said.
Jessy nodded her head. "Okay I will, leave it to me, Doc," she responded. "I will go now and meet the royal couple for an important errand. See you tomorrow if I can no longer see you later, bye Doc!" she said and opened the clinic's door.
"Bye Jess!" the doctor replied.
Jessy smiled at the doctor and steps into the hallway going towards the queen's study room.
A few moments later she was already outside the study room and knocked on the door three times, she pushed the door lightly and took a peek inside.

"Come in..." a male voice said.
Jessy steps inside and saw the royal couple as well as the princess inside the room.
"Good evening everyone!" she conveyed her greetings to them.
"Good evening, child, have a seat," King Antone said pointing at the sofa in front of him.
King Antone waited for Jessy to sit properly before start talking again. "Can you take us to the hidden cave you mentioned to the Queen?"
Jessy nodded her head. "Yes, of course, Father, I can take you there right now if you want," she replied eagerly.
King Antone coughed a little. "Regarding your suggestion to take them in...I am still considering it because there are two types of surviving vampires right now...the savage ones and the vampires under my wing. If we took the wrong ones they might create havoc inside the Facility later on. That is why before I will decide to take them in, I want to see them first..."
Jessy was taken aback. "Father, what is the sign that they belong to the savage clan?"
"They have an Eight Point Star Symbol on their nape, every single one of them, it's part of their lineage since birth," the king explained.
Jessy can't remember she'd seen those vampires having that symbol on their nape. Well...she's not looking for that specific symbol when she followed them inside the cave because she only knew of that matter tonight after the king told her.
"And if they had the Eight Point Star symbol on their nape? What's going to happen, Father?" she asked curiously.
"They are punishable by death, due to their atrocity against the humans...the anti-vampire vaccine was created. We used to have a harmonious relationship with the mortals until those savage vampires start killing humans in a barbaric way which I can no longer tolerate. The war was long but in the end, we finally defeated the savage vampires, but we don't know for sure if there are still some survivors out there," King Antone explained.
"But what if they don't have those symbols on their nape?" Jessy asked.
"We will take them in," the king answered.

Jessy was feeling better. "I will take you now to their hideout, Father," she said. She sighed inwardly, tonight she doesn't know for sure if she will lead those vampires into death or salvation. It all depends on their nape, their fate depends on that symbol, she was hoping they don't have those symbol, if they have, they will all die inside that cave.
"Okay, take me there now, lead the way," the king said.
"Can I go with you—guys? Father please..." Princess Abigail begged his father with puppy dog's eyes.
"Okay, let's go!" the king relented.
Jessy holds the king's arm with her right hand and the princess arm with her left hand, teleporting is much quicker transportation compared to hovering in the air, she initiated the teleporting in her mind...a minute later the three of them were already inside the cave...they landed right there in the clearing...everyone was shocked to see the three visitors appeared instantly in their midst.
But they don't have time to react because the king waves his hands at them freezing them instantly on the spot.
"Now, let's inspect their nape to find out if they have the Eight Point Star Symbol," King Antone said.
Jessy and Princess Abigail start moving, they checked one by one the nape of those frozen vampires.
A few minutes later...
They looked at each other.
"Negative, Father!" Princess Abigail said.
"No one was having the Eight Point Star symbol on their nape," Jessy said.
"It's already confirmed...not a single one of them had that symbol on their neck, it's safe to take them back to the Facility," King Antone said.
Whew! A huge sense of relief washed over Jessy. She was happy for the feeble looking vampires, starting from now on they will have a new home, they will be fed properly, they will be protected and will be given a new life to live.
"What are we going to do with them, Father?" Princess Abigail said.
"Let's bring them all to the Facility in their frozen estate, it will be easier to transport them that way. We will explain to them everything after we unfreeze them," the king said, he looked at Jessy. "Would you mind doing the honor to teleport them all to the Facility, daughter?"
Jessy nodded her head. "Yes of course—I will Father!" she answered. She began the process of teleporting the vampires including the king and the princess into the Facility's function hall.
A minute later, they all appeared in the function hall, the Queen along with the king's men were already waiting for the visitors' arrival in the hall.
Done with her part...
Jessy went to the king's side. "I will go back now to the clinic for another round of blood transfusion, Father," she said.
"Go now...child...leave everything to us," the king answered.
Jessy exited the function hall and walked towards the clinic.
When she reached the clinic, she pushed the door and entered. "I'm back, Doc! Let's continue the blood transfusion until midnight," she said.
The doctor looked at Jessy. "Okay, you wait here for a moment and I will get the recipient from the other room," he said.
"Okay..." she replied and lies down comfortably in the bed.
...
Back in the cave.
A figure of a man come out from it's hiding place. He saw how the three visitors appeared instantly in the middle of the clearing and freeze everyone around them. Then they disappeared along with the other vampires.
The man was wearing a black cloak, he starts walking out of the cave...after emerging from the entrance...he rose above the ground and hovered above the trees looking in the horizon...his eyes looking at the direction of the Facility.
"Interesting!" he murmured to himself.
A strong gush of wind blows from the east.
Blowing his shoulder-length hair away from his neck.
The Eight Point Star Symbol was shining brightly on his nape.
He grinned diabolically while looking at the blurry silhouette of the Facility in the far distance.
"Soon!" he muttered to himself and disappeared in the darkness of the night.

Lacraea: The Slow Journey To riches [HIATUS]
Darren was a successful businessman, founder of the biggest publishing studio AoE studios. He lived a good life that is, until he dies. He's given a choice. either he goes to the traditional heaven, where theres no internet, TV , meat, and sex OR he goes to a fantasy world like the many his company has published. Defeat a big bad boss and become filthy rich. Theres a catch though. unlike fantasy games, the people here are not NPCs to be trifled with mundane quests, the lowest level monsters that are usually cannon fodder in games are strong and fight for their lives like any living being would, The harsh economy of medieval times, the various languages and cultures of different races, and the politics and intrigue playing in the background with a war looming on the horizon. Oh and no respawns. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ No OP characters, No chosen one,and no "oh I did something that MILLIONS of other people just didn't think to do". I am also going to try my best to stick with realism. what a guy transported to medieval times would likely do with zero knowledge of cultures or combat aside from a few TV shows. If you're looking for a powerful chosen one who defeats scores of enemies without even looking, or who finds an ancient artifact to defeat a dark lord this isn't it.
