The Last Embrace Chapter 214

The mysterious man put down the puppet in the ground and took off his cloak and wrapped the woman with it, concealing her presence, the man has thick long black hair that was sticking out in all directions.
Jessy had a hard time seeing his face properly.
Then he hoisted the puppet again in his shoulder.
He slowly rose from the ground, rising higher and higher above the trees.
Jessy was following him...Wow! So, he can hover in the air as well?
All the vampires can do that, it's basic power of all vampires. She was keeping tabs of this mysterious man's power...he can grow and manipulate fire, he can freeze anyone, he can hover in the air, she was guessing he might also have the teleporting or invisible power—the way he appeared in the clearing its clear indication that he was just lurking in the dark just like her.
While she was following him in the air, she realized that she was getting farther away from the mountain where the cave was located.
Wait!
W-where are they going?
Heck! They just passed mountains after mountains.
Hmm...
Passing through the clouds, trees, and mountains and finally, the mysterious man slows down. He paused mid-air and looked down below him. Jessy was so preoccupied with the mysterious man that she almost did not notice what lies below in the ground...
Holy Cow!
There are people in the ground...they were gathering in the clearing where a bonfire was lit in the center. As she looked closely they were all wearing dark clothing just like the mysterious guy.
They raised their heads to see the apparition in their eyes.
The mysterious man hovered down and finally, his feet touch the ground.
They all dropped to their knees, bowing their heads, acknowledging the arrival of their leader, the mighty—Jagger!

"Your highness!"
Jagger ignored his subjects and proceed to his personal space located inside a cave deep down below the towering mountains. The cave's mouth was concealed by thick bushes and plants just like the first cave.
Jagger went inside the cave—alone—still carrying the woman in his shoulder.
Jessy didn't follow the mysterious man inside the cave, instead, she remained outside. She was certain of one thing—they are vampires—now she just wants to know what kind of vampires are they...are they savage types or just ordinary vampires?
She had made a mental observation, compared to the previous vampires that they rescued in the first cave, the vampires here are far more healthier...they look like they are well fed...it piqued her curiosity. Where did they get fresh blood to sustain their existence? Unless they have a continues supply of blood stocked somewhere, which is highly impossible considering that the anti-vampire vaccine is well circulated and accepted by the masses.
Unless...
She saw five vampires heading to the north side of the camp, she followed them. They were probably heading to a river or a stream located somewhere as she began to hear sounds of water trickling nearby.
The group reaches the stream, there was a part of the stream where the water was a bit deeper. The vampires discarded their clothes and waded into the water, naked.
Their naked back facing Jessy, Oh boy! she rolls her eyes.
Before they can fully be submerged in the water, Jessy's hands moved instantly manipulating the wind to blow into their location, their long hair was blown away by the strong wind exposing their nape...the wind blows fast and quick...it ended instantly.
Damn! She saw the Eight Point Star Symbol on their nape!
Jessy gasped, she was covering her mouth, careful not to make any sound.

The five vampires were looking at each other—wide eyes. They began talking among themselves.
"WTF!?"
"What the hell is going on?"
"Where that wind come from?"
"It's so sudden...as if it was intentionally blown to our direction!"
"It's gone, let's just take a bath!"
After investigating the surrounding areas and seeing that there was no one around spying on them, they continue skinny dipping.
It finally dawned on Jessy that the mysterious man—the leader of the group is also a symbol bearer.
So—this camp here—is their base?
And how many are they?
It would be hard to count them all since she doesn't know where the others are hiding.
She rose above the trees and get a birds-eye view of the whole place...
She only saw a dozen of them more or less twenty of them scattered everywhere, the ones who gathered in the bonfire earlier has already dispersed.
She hovered lower into the ground and went to the direction of the cave. She passed through the thick bushes and finally emerged inside the cave.
She went to the long narrow passageway...passing some slumped vampires along the way. They won't be able to smell her scent because she already canceled her human scent.
As she goes deeper into the cave, she came into a crossroad, she originated from the south which is the entrance, she went to the east direction, she saw a clearing and a wall and a dead-end...she saw more than a dozen vampires there, around 30, nothing interesting in there, she went back to where she was standing earlier in the crossroad.
Then she tried the west side...the path leads to a wide clearing...what she saw there shocked her to the core!
A horrid stench assailed her nostril making her want to vomit.
The clearing is full of cages—about thirty of them—each cage contained people, human being to be exact!—from women to men and teenagers included. Some of them were so skinny but still alive—and some are still healthy.
The smell in that area is horrible! A mixture of human poop, urine and something else!
What the hell is going on!?
Then she heard someone whimpering on the last cage near the wall, it's a woman's pitiful voice!
She comes closer to the last cage.
Then she saw a woman sobbing, her right arm was in full display outside the cage, and a vampire was grabbing her arms sinking it's pointed fangs on the woman's arm. Jessy choked on her saliva.
Jesus Christ!
Jessy shut off her eyes. As she surveyed the area around her, she realized that the cages contained human beings that were not vaccinated with the anti-vampire vaccine! And they have now become the savages food, the vampires fed on their blood day in and day out, so the reason why they are still alive until now because they were still useful to the vampires. Those savage filthy beings managed to survive due to their fresh blood supply courtesy of the caged mortals!

Pocket Dungeon Lite
Based on the Pocket Dungeon original novel made by Stuckin (I asked for his permission beforehand). I do not know if this could count as a fanfiction as I made up many elements on the go so, for now, I will list this as an original but if Stuckin-sama would like me to change it I will be fine with doing so. This is somewhat of a self-insert but I made sure not to make the MC to OP. Also, the creator of the cover is Vurguy I tried to contact him to ask for permission but couldn't due to technical issues please go support him on Deviant Art and I don't own the picture so if he wants me to take it down than I am completely okay with doing so. As I am an improving author, I am glad to receive any constructive criticism or critical review I just hope that everyone will give me a chance before they yell at me for something or at least tell me what made them angry so I know what the issue is and can figure out how to deal with it. For now, my schedule is 1-2 chapters a week and if I am busy with either work or school 1-3 chapters every 2 weeks. I expect a bunch of chapters at the beginning around 5 or so and for me to continue from there. I will try my best to keep some chapters in storage for any time where I can't write for whatever reason. I will continue to change this part of the synopsis if anything changes in my update schedule. - From a thoughtful Author Pocket Dungeon is a widespread interstellar game that has captivated the attention of many races and civilizations. Nowadays in the 2300s anyone not living under a rock would grow up with a dungeon and learn to manage it over time as they make mistakes along the way. But as all things go there is always an exception and this exception can be found in Nadezhda Ledopad who had an overprotective family that didn't let him interact with anything but those they deemed worthy and safe. This overprotectiveness caused them to forbid him from gaining a pocket dungeon as they knew with his intelligence and specialties in certain fields he would become a strong dungeon master, quickly. This was something his family was very much against as they knew that his competitiveness and duty to maintain the Ledopad family's reputation would push him to win in the competitions that he would inevitably get invited too. This all changed when Nadezh graduated high school and moved to the Celestial Plane capital star as a Prodigal student in planetary conservation (major) and revival of species through DNA transferal (minor). His brother in all but blood Tet schemed to get him into Pocket Dungeons when they got there as no one would keep Nadezh from playing. Nadezh excited to join his peers in this famous game looked forward to doing so. But with this one decision, many futures changed and the Fates laughed as people of strong destinies meet together on this plane. Warning - This will probably contain LGBT+ relationships. You have been warned, I will not tolerate stupidity to the ninth degree in the comment section and I hope that people can be logical enough to GO AWAY if they don't like this kind of thing. If you don't feel comfortable with mature or explicit scenes I will put a warning in the chapters or parts with such and I just wanted all of you to know that this will be a long novel as with most novel I will write in the future so don't expect a deep romantic relationship anytime soon.

Naga rising (Final version)
Eshanai used to think that her life was pretty good, that the elders of her tribe of Naga sisters had their best interests at heart. But one suspiciously regular disaster after another sort of makes you question things. So when Eshanai decides to go out on the island to do the unthinkable, break some rules, and nothing terrible happens to her like the elders said it would, her questions start to multiply. What else could the elders be wrong about? Were the Naga really chosen by the spirits? And could there be other people out there, beyond their island? Follow Eshanai and some of her sisters as she tries to find a way to leave the island and comes up with increasingly creative ways to get into a certain Oni's pants. Author's note: This is not a rewrite of my original Naga rising story. It's more of a reimagining, as it contains many of the same characters and settings but will have a completely different plot. Be advised that the two are not related to one another. This should not be seen as any form of sequel or prequel story. So I have caught up to my backlog, and at first, I thought I could release a chapter once a week. That turned out to be unrealistic as I am writing in my spare time, so periods of inaction might not be uncommon. Some of the tags might not come into effect until later on in the story.

Bleen Fada - The Legendary Pathfinder
It had been decades since dreams started to kill. Today, it's finally over.Mahon was once a general and an impressive warrior. In his dreams. In Nightmare. There, he put an end to the war that plagued mankind for decades. In the real world, however, the war has been raging for millenia, and Mahon is weak, his body frail from all his years spent dream-fighting. But it's time for a new beginning. In a world he knows almost nothing about, he will struggle to climb back to power, a necessity if he wants to achieve his goal. But he doesn’t lack willpower. And he already reached the highest ranks before. Who is to say he can’t do it again? That is, if the Fada let it be… This story takes place in a medieval fantasy world. Swords and schemes are the common ways to assert your place among the powerful. This story follows Mahon on his journey back to power. Not a simple one, as he will uncover some of the deepest mysteries that had been buried deep down along the ages. As of now, 98% of my chapters are through Mahon’s PoV and I want to keep it that way. There will be no unending PoV swaps for multiple chapters. Although war/conflict is one of the main themes, it’s not really a story about war. Instead, expect fights, plots, foreshadowing, progression and adventure from these chapters. It’s my first time publishing a book, and English is not my native language. I hope you will enjoy the story and that you’ll be indulgent enough to point out my mistakes with kindness. I wish to grow as a better writer and provide something that will make you cheer for, and shiver in anticipation. As long as you’re not, it means there is something to improve. Note: It's a slow progression fantasy, and some have raised complaints about the depressing tones and slowness in some of the first chapters. Rest assured, it soon disappears as Mahon progresses. Release schedule : M/W/F at 6:12 am GMT+2
