At 2:30 Adam woke up, he peered at his girlfriend's face, she was still sleeping soundly. He rose from the bed intending to visit his brother. Now is the time to face him, he's been avoiding this kind of uncomfortable confrontation between them and he admitted to himself that he was a coward 'coz he was afraid what's gonna happen if he and his brother will see each other for the first time. All this time, he was carrying this heavy feeling of guilt in his heart. He was guilty of loving the woman that was destined to be his brother's wife.

He simply loves Jessy!

She is the only woman he will ever love for eternity, and no one else can take her place. But he was also aware that they can never get married and live as husband and wife under one roof if his brother won't set Jessy free. The more he delayed talking to his brother and settling their feud the more their rift will widen. He knew that his brother feels that he was treated unfairly. He was just hoping he will talk to him with an open mind and willing to patch things between them.

He teleported into Zain's room quietly. He saw his brother already sleeping, he was debating if he will wake him up or just come back some other time. But he's here now, he has to wait until morning just to talk to his brother, their feud must be settled today once and for all.

So he must stay inside the room and wait.

After a few minutes of waiting Zain finally opened his eyes and saw Adam standing in the corner of the room, if he was surprised to see his brother...his expression didn't change at all. He's been waiting for this visit for a long time.

He sat down on the bed facing his younger brother. "Don't bother to come near me, brother, I might only hurt you. So stay where you are...if you want to talk let's talk," he said without hostility in his voice.

Huge relief washed over Adam. At least this time, they can talk seriously, he cleared his throat. "Um...I want to apologize for betraying you bro, I'm so sorry, I did not expect to fall in love with Jessy. Things between Jessy and me happen gradually and when it blossomed to a full-blown romance it's very difficult to stop, we fall in love with each other super hard," he admitted with a crestfallen look on his face.

Zain sighed deeply. Yeah...he loses his brother to his wife...he loses his wife to his brother... their sibling relationship has broken beyond repair and they were now like a stranger to one another because of the one woman that comes between them. That's how messy their relationship and situation is at this moment. "I could never forget you for betraying me. I could never forget you for falling in love with my wife. You even stole the power that was supposed to be mine, now I become this pathetic powerless mortal, imprisoned in this forsaken room. This is unfair! I'm being treated unfairly! You and Jessy almost push me to the brink of insanity! Now you want me to forgive you—? Hell no! You started all this, you should be the one suffering here, not me!"

Adam fell silent. Allowing his brother to express his pain and grievances to him might help lessen the anger he felt deep inside.

After a while, he has to speak again. "Bro, Jessy loves me not you...can you please set her free?"

A muscle on Zain's jaw twitched, his eyes flashing in rage. "Oh yeah...thanks for bragging to me who Jessy loves the most and thanks for reminding me that my beloved wife never loves me at all. If you didn't pounce on her first she could have fallen for me easily. But that... doesn't erase the fact that even if you knew that she was destined to be my wife you still allowed yourself to fall in love with her! You betrayed me and stab me in my back! If you are in my shoes how would you feel?" he yelled at him, fuming.

Adam sighed. "Brother, what is it that makes you really angry? Is it the fact that Jessy loves me and not you? Or is it all because of the power I gained when I was being fed with her blood after I died?"

Zain throws daggers in his brother's eyes. "You committed two unforgivable sin and you know it, you got my wife and the power that is rightfully mine! So don't expect that I can forgive you easily!"

With a heavy heart, Adam fixated his eyes on the floor.

A few minutes of silence enveloped the two brothers.

Adam was thinking of how to appease his brother's anger? What can he do to bring back their sibling closeness? He comes here hoping to settle the conflict between them, but it looks like the anger burning inside his brother's heart was hard to subdue, a simple...' I'm sorry'...won't be enough to repair their broken sibling relationship.

"Tell me, brother, what am I going to do so that you can forgive me and set Jessy free from being married to you?" he said desperately.

Zain's eyes flickered with amusement all of a sudden. "Haven't my wife told you yet about my proposition to her? She also visited me here and asked for her freedom and I give her a nice proposal...too bad...she doesn't like any of the two options..."

Adam brows snapped together, huh? Jessy had not mentioned him anything yet. "What do you mean?"

Zain smiled a bit, smirking for his brother's benefit. "I gave her two options to choose from. The first option, she will remain married to me and I will allow her to see you anytime but she will always come back home to me every night, that would mean that we will be sharing one woman, that would solve the problem we are facing right now, right? The second option, she will stay with me and give me a healthy child then I will set her free to be with you without interference from me. Unfortunately, she left the room without choosing any of the two options. So yeah...don't tell me I'm being heartless and I'm being difficult to you and her, she only has to choose one option, then things will return to normalcy between the three of us," he explained in a light voice.

Adam's face registered sadness and at the same time outrage 'coz of his brother despicable proposal. He knew what kind of woman Jessy is, she would never agree to a Harem style relationship and she would never bore Zain a child. "Brother, your proposal will never appeal to Jessy," he concluded.
