"No!" Jessy gasped and groaned in protest. Hearing Adam talking about agreeing to his brother's proposal was like a death sentence to her.

"I'm contemplating about it....you know just to end all these drama...why don't we just give him what he wants and be done with it? I will only lose my power but I will never lose you, losing my power is no big deal...what do you think?" he said nonchalantly and shrugged his shoulders.

Jessy was shaking her head. "No, please don't do it, Adam!" she objected. "He was just tricking you, he will try to deceive you, he can't be trusted!" she insisted, she must convince Adam harder not to give in to Zain's demand.

Adam sighed. "Jessy, come on its just power. I'm not clinging to this power of mine if it's the only thing that can repair my broken relationship with my brother, besides I'm not losing you in the process... then I'm considering agreeing to it."

Oh God! This is a total nightmare. Jessy rubbed her hands on her face in exasperation, after a while she breathed deeply. "How can you make sure he will stay true to his promise? I simply don't trust your brother!" there was desperation in her voice.

Adam buried his fingers on Jessy's hair massaging her scalp trying to calm her. "Don't worry, I will have my entire family as a witness on the day that I will transfer him my power so that they will know about the agreement, that way my brother will be obliged to stick to the agreed terms. Besides its just three years imprisonment inside that room, it's not even a lifetime and time flies too fast as we know it," he was trying to convince her in advance, just in case he can finally make up his mind then she's ready to accept everything. For now, he was testing the ground.

Jessy was not buying his explanation. "Have you already made up your mind? Is—your decision final?" she asked panicking, inside she was feeling tormented.

"I have not decided yet. I'm considering it but I'm not pleased with everything. So, stop worrying my love, I will let you know if I had reached a decision already. But it won't gonna happen anytime soon, that at least I can guarantee you," Adam said.

Whew! Jessy finally felt relieved. She was afraid Adam will decide right away without thinking first if the offer is beneficial to the two of them. Although nothing will happen to her because the agreement was just between the two brothers settling their differences... but still she will be affected because Adam is her boyfriend. She couldn't bear seeing him imprisoned in that room for three years! That would be too much of a punishment. Anyhow, she will try to convince Adam to discard Zain's trash proposal. The more she thinks about it, the more she can't accept it!

"No!" she said aloud.

Adam looked at her quizzically. "What...Jess?"

"Please don't decide hastily, okay? Think about the consequences if your brother will gain his power back? He will surely go after me...and you know very well what will gonna happen, right? Because if that time will come, I won't go on easy with your brother. Chances are your brother and I will kill each other and it's just a matter who will end up dead first," her eyes darkened instantly.

Adam doesn't like what he saw on her face, he can sense her murderous aura. "Jess, please, I urge you to restrain yourself when it comes to my brother," he said.

Jessy pouted. "Well...as long he won't do something stupid against me then I will be in silence and staying dormant, but if he starts harassing me, then I got to do what I need to do. That is why before you decide on transferring your power to him, make sure you are okay with the consequences or else it's something that you will regret for the rest of your life," she strongly expressed her point of view hoping Adam will no longer entertain the idea of agreeing to Zain's demand, it bothered her if Zain will become powerful again, she was afraid she won't be able to control herself by then.

Adam sighed. It's hard to decide...part of him wants to please his brother and another part of him wants to please his girlfriend, he was torn between two important people in his life. He hugged Jessy tightly, pacifying her worries. "Don't worry, I'm not considering it yet, I just want to know how will you react, since you reacted negatively I will no longer pursue it. So please, let's stop talking about it, okay? End of discussion... let's go back to sleep now," he said closing his eyes in the process.

Jessy calmed herself down. Adam already shut down and doesn't want to discuss the topic anymore, maybe she should let it go. She closed her eyes and forced herself to sleep.

Six hours later.

The couple wakes up at 10:00 in the morning.

They looked at each other's eyes.

Adam gently caresses her cheeks with his hand. "I love you so much, Jess, please stop worrying about everything, okay?" then he planted a gentle kiss on her forehead.

Jessy smiled adoringly at him. "I love you too! Just please don't make me worry about you, I'm truly afraid I'm going to lose you again," she nibbled on her bottom lip in agitation.

Adam smiled and hugged her tightly. "Of course not! You're not going to lose me again 'coz we will grow old together," he showered light feathery kisses on her cheeks.

Jessy smiled sweetly at him feeling a little bit better. "I'm looking forward growing old with you too, Adam," she murmured. "Just promise me you won't agree to any proposal that your brother will tell you, okay? Just let him be, once he will realize that he was just wasting his life due to stubbornness, one day he will set me free. Let's just wait for that time to come, don't ever make any rush decisions, please?" she pleaded again, she just want to make sure that he will promise to her today so that she will stop getting worried about him.

"Okay...I promised you that I will no longer pay attention to his proposal to me. Happy now?" he smiled at her.

Jessy shrieked in happiness. "Of course...I'm happy!"

After putting things at rest, the couple went into a loving and romancing mode, kissing and petting each other.

A few minutes later.

"I gotta go!" reluctantly Adam finally bid goodbye to Jessy.

"Let's eat breakfast first in the canteen," she offered.

Adam planted a kiss on her forehead. "Nah, some other time my love," he said and disappeared from the room.

A moment later.

Jessy exited her room heading towards the canteen to eat her breakfast and start her day.
