But what Jagger did not anticipate is that the real king saw him, and flew after him with his spear and plunged it directly into his back...Jagger slowly looked at the person who plunged the spear on his back and at the person who is in front of him...realization hit him like a ton of bricks, before the darkness completely envelop his senses he saw two identical kings...this cannot be! dammit...did he killed the fake one!?

He was fighting the darkness from taking over his consciousness, he needs to know if he killed the real king or the fake one before he will die, or else everything that he worked so hard for in the past few days will go to waste!

He must know! before he loses consciousness...he grabs at the arms of the king in front of him with all his might! Jagger immediately initiated the teleportation process and brought the king along with him back into the cave...

As they landed inside the cave and his wounded body crumbled into the ground...

Jessy reverted to her real image.

Jagger saw the real image of the person that he had full intention to kill and noticed that there was no wound on her body.

It's not the king! But it's a woman! she has the most captivating face that he had ever seen in his entire life!

His right-hand moves about to touch her face...but his blurry vision can no longer see anything...then fresh tears emerged from his eyes. Dammit! He failed big time! He is going to die and worst he failed to kill the king who killed his father.

Aargh! Such a painful and disgraceful death!

His eyes were shutting down waiting for the hands of death to claim his soul as his consciousness was rapidly fading away...

Jessy saw the fresh tears flowing from Jagger's eyes, weirdly it moved her somehow!

He has to live! He can't die!

She needs him to guide her to where his brother was located and save the rest of the human captives!

She immediately pulled the spear from his body and freeze the wounds to prevent hemorrhage and stopped the blood from flowing out of his body.

Then she cut the area above her wrist using the spear, letting her fresh blood drop into his mouth, she was not sure if this procedure will work but it's worth trying.

While she was roaming her eyes around her surroundings...Jagger's eyes suddenly opened and his hands move quickly grabbing her arms as he sunk his fangs deeper into her flesh...Jessy allowed him to drink more blood, if she wants him alive he needs more blood from her.

After a few seconds, thinking that he already had enough of her blood, Jessy tried to snatch her hand but Jagger won't let go of his hand.

Jessy was about to freeze him...

But Jagger beat her to it, he freezes her instead!

Jessy and Jagger were staring into each other's eyes.

He smirked, he was getting stronger every second thanks to her blood, he inspected his wound, amazing! It healed fast!

So, this pretty woman here saves his life from the clutches of death!

Just awesome!

He stood up and stretched his body!

He was feeling good as brand new, her blood must have a powerful composition... 'coz earlier he was about to die but when he was fed by her blood, he was resurrected!

It must be convenient to keep this woman by his side so that he can feed on her blood every day!

She had a body of a mortal that possessed blood so sweet and intoxicating, and she's also a powerful human being!

Hmm...

What is the identity of this woman?

Was she... the crossbred that was mentioned in the prophecy?

He was pacing back and forth inside the cave, it's clear now that this woman is somewhat an important figure in that Facility.

What isn't clear to him is the reason why the woman saved him from death?

Then he remembered that the woman was the one impersonating the king up there in the Facility, ambushing and burning his minions left and right.

This woman is indeed powerful, to be able to use puppets and control them is beyond his power and capabilities!

But he can't kill her either, he owed her his life!

Back in the Facility.

Adam suddenly arrived and greeted with the sight of the multitudes of bats still swarming the entire Facility and saw the twenty vampires wearing white cloak suspended above the Facility, they looked like puppets minus the string.

He caught sight of his father in the ground.

"Father, what's happening here?" Adam asked in bewilderment.

"We were attacked by bats...it's a long story," answered the king. "We already lose forty of my men, these bats were deadly, they sucked blood dry and then spit venom on their victims," he explained.

Adam looked at the bats busy attacking the shields on the Facility...

Time for some clearing!

He transformed into his invisible form and launches an attack on the bats, by growing fireballs in his palms and the next few minutes he single-handedly burned the bats, every single one of them until nothing was left in the shield.

The bats' burnt bodies were scattered outside the facility's ground.

The king instructed his men to began digging two holes in the forest nearby so that they can bury the bats before they will start decaying and smells horrible and also bury the vampires' dead bodies.

The king's men sprung into action.

Adam asked his father, "Are my mother, my sister, brother safe? Are they all safe?" he asked, already fearing for the worst.

King Antone nods his head. "Everyone is safe inside the Facility, sadly, forty of my men perished, this is a very sad incident," he replied gloomily.

"Where is Jessy, Father?" Adam asked.

"Inside the facility, I instructed her to remain below with your mother so that she can help protect our people just in case the situation outside will turn to worst. But now...that I think of it...I realized that the one impersonating me and my men earlier was her," King Antone said.

"Huh? And where is she—Father!?" Adam asked, alarmed.

"Before you come, a figure in black cloak drove a spear into Jessy's back while she and her puppets were busy throwing fire at the bats, so I zoomed after the black figure and plunged my spear into his back, then all of a sudden, he and Jessy both disappeared before my eyes, I believe that the guy activated the teleportation process and send them both into another place," King Antone explained.

"W-was she hurt, Father?" Adam pressed on, feeling worried sick in his stomach, wondering where that black figure brought Jessy at this moment.

"I dunno, son, everything happened so quickly I was not able to see if the spear the man was holding penetrated Jessy's body, if she's just a mere mortal, she would be dead by now," said the king.

"I will look for her, Father!" then Adam zoomed away from the Facility trying to find Jessy in the neighboring areas.
