The Last Embrace Chapter 310

The next day.
Jessy woke up first.
She stared fondly at Adam's sleeping face. Her fingers began caressing her handsome face, loving his hot breath fanning the skin of her fingers.
Adam's eyes open up, he caught her fingers and planted a kiss on her palm. "How's sleep, Jess?"
She smiled radiantly. "My sleep is good because you are here by my side. How about you? Did you sleep well?" she asked.
He nodded his head. "Yes of course. I was able to sleep soundly. It's good that we can have a good rest after the scare of losing you. You have no idea how thankful I am after I see you inside the clinic, my agony ended after I saw you smiling brightly showing us that everything is fine and we have nothing to worry about you."
"Please don't worry about me, Adam. I have nine lives just like cats though," she mumbled while grinning from ear to ear.
Adam chuckled and hugged her tightly. "You are the most beautiful kitten I'd ever seen!" he gushes.
Jessy giggled and runs her fingers through his hair. "Did Caden worry about you not able to go home all night while looking for me?" she asked.
"Yeah, but I told him I'm spending the night with you. I no longer told him that you went missing for several hours, if I do, he will keep pestering me for details," he said. "And I don't want to tell him the truth 'coz I will be reminded again of the awful feelings I have to go through not knowing where that bastard takes you. Good thing, he was already dead or else if I happened to see him alive I will tear him into pieces," he said sporting a menacing look.

Jessy released a deep sigh. "Let's stop talking about what happened. Let's forget everything. I don't want to be reminded also of what he did to me. So tell me, how you suddenly come over here and know about the bats?"
"I just feel it, I feel uneasy while lying in my bed in the condo and I know that you must be facing danger so I come here, too bad I come too late and you were already abducted by the enemy," he explained.
"Wow! You killed all the bats, I'm glad you did because I failed to annihilate them, instead, I was caught off guard by the enemy and was abducted and I feel shameful because of that. I haven't done much to save the Facility but got kidnapped instead," she said, sighing.
Adam's face has gone serious. "No. Please don't say that, Jess. You saved my father from certain death. If you didn't copy his image, he will be the one dead right now and not the enemy. So, I'm very thankful you save my father somehow..."
"I did it on purpose though, I just want to lure the enemy out so that I will know who they are. It turns out that he was the only one attacking the Facility together with his minions," Jessy said.
"Now, that the leader and the bats were dead, we can breathe a little. I just hope no more attacks will follow later," Adam muttered to himself.
"Yeah. Let's hope it's the last attack and no harm will happen to the Facility and the Habitat in the future," she said, trying to feel optimistic.
She lowered her head on his abdomen and look into his eyes.
After a few minutes of discussing things about the recent attack, Adam's stomach grumbled.

"How about breakfast in bed?" asked Adam while tracing the lines inside her palm.
She raised her head. "That sounds terrific! Bring it on," she said and smiled enthusiastically.
"Alright! Wait for a minute, I'll be back after getting food from the canteen," Adam rises from the bed and disappeared from the room.
A few minutes later, Adam returned with a take out from the chicken house.
"Awesome!" she shrieked in delight to see six pieces of crispy fried chicken inside the bucket!
She rewarded him with a kiss on the lips.
Adam grinned loving her affection.
"I decided to teleport into the city and ordered your favorite fried chicken with lots of gravy and rice, of course, I also ordered french fries, apple pie, and hot coffee to complete our breakfast in bed," he grinned from ear to ear loving the happiness glowing in her eyes.
One by one they removed everything from the take out bag and placed the foods in the tray.
Jessy was salivating at the mouthwatering foods in front of her. She looked at Adam. "What are we waiting for? Let's start eating! My God, I'm so hungry!" she picked up one crispy and delicious chicken thigh and took a big bite, she was munching the fried chicken happily.
Adam grabs one crunchy chicken wing and took a bite as well.
They merrily devoured their delicious breakfast while enjoying the company of each other.
One hour later, breakfast in bed come to end.
They put the trash away and wash their hands in the bathroom. Then they brush their teeth together.
"Did you enjoy our breakfast, Jess?" asked Adam.
Jessy nods her head. "Yes of course! Thank you so much for the breakfast, it's super tasty, you made everything possible! Thanks for the effort!"
"How about next time—? What food do you want me to bring here?" he asked.
Jessy pondered for a moment. "Hmm...how about seafood or pizza?" she said smiling.
"Consider your wish granted!" he said and planted a swift kiss on her forehead.
Done brushing teeth.
Adam finally bid goodbye to Jessy. "I will leave now. I will come here anytime for a surprise visit, maybe tomorrow?" he said and winked at her.
"I will wait for you tomorrow then," she said. "You go now...shoo!" she said jokingly.
Adam went to her side in a split second and awarded her with a wet kiss on her lips. "I love you so much!" he said tenderly.
"I love you too!" she responded sweetly.
They hugged each other for a minute, a few seconds later Adam reluctantly tore himself away from Jessy...blew her a kiss and then vanished from the room.
Time flies too fast.
The couple has to separate again and perform their daily routine and obligations to other people. Adam went back to his place while Jessy was preparing herself to start her day resuming the blood transfusion.

Project Alpha: A Summary - 'Old Republic to Current Operational Era'
This is the beginning story of an ongoing epic written over a period of ten years. A labor of love for me. We start the story with the summary of what started it all: Project Alpha. A project conceived by the Supreme Chancellor to prevent another Hyperspace Conflict. The project; like all government run projects, spawned other 'side-initatives'. One of which results in the creation of our five main protagonist which are the main characters of the next series of stories. We start at the end of the Great Hyperspace Conflict. The prologue addressing what effect all of this has on the New Hope Era of the Star Wars saga.

The Worst
A try on a virtual reality oriented story, about a guy who's absolutely mundane and anti-social but through FSK a VRMMO finds himself beingone of the worst people on the net. Maybe it's just stress relief or trying to have fun but this one is one step closer to writing a little better. You might find words that have mistaken letters in them or grammarbut I'm pretty confident in my english although it's not my main language.Lastly I would like to say report that the novel will have Mature contentof the worst sort, so please refrain from reading it unless you are an adult.

Life is a game, with intrusive microtransactions.
Life is a simulation. There is nothing wrong with acknowledging we are just a part of someone's dream, lines of code existing to give purpose for some machine or anything, but why would this unknown entity add microtransactions in it? Maybe because that way it can wake up faster, by consuming parts of it's dream, until... well, who cares about an unknown entity that has nothing to do with this particular story?
