The Last Embrace Chapter 313

Jessy went inside the men's room. It's now time to take Leo home.
"Everyone, say your goodbye to Leo now, I will be taking him home tonight," she said glancing at the men's enthusiastic faces.
Their dream of going home was slowly materializing now that Leo is going home tonight, in their mind, few more days to go and it will be their turn to go home, they can't wait!
Leo bid goodbye to everyone. "Bye guys, hope we will see each other in the future. You know my address right? drop at my place anytime I will treat you to a fun-filled barbecue party in my backyard," he said grinning.
"Bye Leo...bro! Take care of yourself and don't forget us!" everyone in the room wishes him a safe return and happy homecoming.
Jessy and Leo exited the room.
While they were walking in the hallway going to the queen's room Jessy halted on her tracks for a moment.
"Ah, Leo...I have something to tell you," Jessy said.
Leo looked at Jessy. "What is it, Ma'am?" he asked politely.
"I happened to visit your house last night..."
Leo's eyes glimmer for a moment. "Really—? What did you see inside my house, Ma'am?" he asked curiously.
"What makes you think that I went inside your house?" she eyed him with interest.
"Because naturally you will be curious and wanting to know what's inside my house and since you have some sort of power you can enter my house easily, well, I'm just guessing here," he said.
Jessy shrugs her shoulders. "I must admit I entered the house. Not much can be seen inside because it's dark. But when I proceed to the second floor...I saw something...I don't know if I have to say this to you..." she was hesitating to tell him about the uninvited guest in his home last night.

Leo's brows snapped together. "What did you see, Ma'am? Please tell me..."
"I saw a couple engaging in an intimate activity in the first room located near the top of the stairway," she revealed.
Leo's mouth set in a hard line. "Huh? Are there strangers living in my house? And worst they occupied my room? I hate it when somebody enters my room!" he clenched his teeth.
Jessy saw anger emanating from his eyes. "I think they just happened to stay in your house last night and maybe they've already gone home after they were done with their adventure..."
Leo was silent for a minute.
"What will you do if you caught them still occupying your room?" she asked observing Leo's face closely.
"I will kill them!" he said in a serious tone.
Jessy looked at his face hard, studying his face, wondering if he was just joking or what?
Leo saw her reaction, then he laughed all of a sudden. "Nah, I'm just joking, Ma'am! Of course, I won't kill them. I will just ask them politely to vacate my place and go home or else I will call the police," he elaborated further.
Jessy's worries slowly vanish away, but it still bothered her upon seeing that dark reaction in his eyes earlier, his eyes emanated a murderous aura for a brief second, those rare few seconds alarmed her as if she saw a glimpse of his soul.
"What's wrong, Ma'am Jessy?" Leo inquired puzzled by the look in her eyes.
Jessy blinked twice. "Nothing...let's proceed to the study room now. The queen wants to say her last words to you before we send you home," she said.
With just a few more steps they finally arrived in the study room. The queen has not arrived yet.

Jessy pointed to him the comfy sofa. "Have a seat, Leo. Let's wait for the queen's arrival... just for a moment..."
"Thank you, Ma'am," he said and sat on the sofa. He saw several magazines at the center table. "Can I read those—?" he asked permission looking at the magazines.
Jessy nods her head. "Yes, you can."
Leo reached for the magazine and began looking through the pages, while Jessy studied his profile across the sofa.
A minute later, Jessy freezes Leo instantly. She pries the magazines from his frozen fingers. Anytime now the queen will be arriving that's why she already froze Leo so that the queen can begin erasing his memory right away. There is no use for pleasantries that Leo won't even remember after his memory will be erased.
Fifteen minutes later, Queen Margaret finally arrived in the study room.
'Hi Mother, I already freeze Leo so that you can start erasing his memory when you're ready," Jessy explained.
"Okay, I will start now," the queen went to Leo's side and placed her hand on his head.
"I'll go to my room for a while, Mother. I will be back later," Jessy said and went out of the room.
The queen glanced at Jessy briefly and continue erasing Leo's memory.
...
Jessy entered her room. Usually, erasing memory can take up more or less one to two hours. She still has enough time to visit the manor and inspect if there are still intruders there and shoo them away before Leo can see them.
She transformed into her invisible form and teleported into the Rabbi's Manor.
A moment later, she was already hovering above the property. She wastes no time and entered the house and zoomed right into the second floor, then proceed inside the first room.
Thank goodness, the couple she saw last night was no longer in the room, they must have vacated the house right away after they were done with their romping.
Looks like everything is clear now, Leo can finally go home in peace. She just hopes that the house still intact though and nothing valuable was missing while Leo was gone for several months.
Deep inside, she knows that it would be impossible that the house remained untouched by thieves, considering that few of the windows in the living room were already half-opened, a human body can easily enter those small opening.
But she has no plan to tour the entire house, she even doesn't want to go up to the third floor and see what's in there. After she will deposit Leo here in his home she will be gone and never to return.
Jessy departed from the house and hovered in the air, everything was peaceful around the manor, even the adjacent cemetery looks serene.
It's a good atmosphere for Leo to come home to.
After convincing herself that everything is okay, she teleported into the Facility ready to fetch Leo and bring him home.
...
Unknown to Jessy, two couples were sleeping on the third floor... after engaging in a steamy activity in the early hours of the night, they were now falling asleep like babies.

The Way Ahead
What do you do when you don't fit in? Edwin never really felt many connections to other people, but as a physics student, that was fine. He didn't really need it, anyway. He was content to peel back the mysteries of the universe... not that there were many left to find. Modern-day research was just too well-established, too well-trodden for any single enthusiast to make any significant headway. But that doesn't apply to other worlds. Not ones where magic and Skills run rampant, where well-defined roles and Classes dominate much of society with little room for novel experimentation from its residents. That kind of world would be perfect for an overeager, newly-minted Alchemist to make his mark. Things are never that easy, though. The Way Ahead is a very slice-of-life story following the story of someone trying to find his place in a world that doesn't know what to do with him. Expect lots of science, lots of alchemy, a few sarcastic quips by the System, and lots of exploration involving the world, self-discovery, and above all, science. After all, further research is always required. Updates every other day at 9 AM PST. Congratulations! A Fragmented Mind
"Hi there. My name is Richard Maddox, but my — admittedly nonexistent — friends call me Rick. I live in a world of superheroes and villains. A world filled with magic and physics-defying powers, and in this world, I'm just an ordinary, completely average 17-year-old boy. My imaginary friends, however, are as far from average as you get. You think you're good at deluding yourself? Well, stand back, because it's time for a master to show you his craft. Welcome to my life, the life of a madman." This story was originally inspired by the 'Legion' novella series written by Brandon Sanderson. If you've read those books and liked them, it might be worth giving this a read. The same goes if you haven't read them either, I guess. (Currently re-writing earlier chapters)
