Weekend.
Jessy met her mother in the canteen for lunch.
"Mom, I'm going to spend the whole day with Adam and Nana Aida in the mansion tomorrow. Why don't you go with me to visit the mansion even for just a few hours? I can fetch you here at noon. Don't worry nothing bad will happen in the mansion, unlike previously in the food festival..." her voice trailed off.
Sarah stared at her daughter's face. "Don't worry about me, daughter, I'm no longer thinking of what happened in the food festival, I have forgotten that incident. I don't mind visiting the mansion once again. Let me ask your father's permission first, okay?"
"Yes! I'm sure father will allow you Mom, after all, it's our home!" Jessy said excitedly.
"Alright, finish your food," Sarah ordered.
"Aye, Mother dear!" Jessy obeyed and finished eating the rest of the rice, steamed fish and stir fry vegetables on her plate. "Hmm, yummy, the fish and vegetables taste so good!" she raved.
Sarah smiled in amusement. "I wonder if there's a food you don't like eating, daughter?" she asked.
"I eat everything, Mom, except bats, dogs, cats, rabbits, snake, and other exotic animals," Jessy answered.
Sarah grinned.
A few minutes later, mother and daughter finished eating their meals in the canteen. Sarah went back to her office while Jessy sauntered back to the clinic for another session of blood transfusion.
On the way to the clinic, she made a detour and went down to the Core. She needs to convince her father to permit her mother to go with her to the mansion.
She arrived at the core just in time before her father goes back to the tunnel to resume their job.
"Dad, wait for a minute!" she shouted.
Hector smile seeing her daughter bouncing her way towards him. "What is it, daughter?"
"I need to talk to you about something..." she said breathlessly.
"Okay, let's go to my office and talk there," Hector signaled the others to go on without him.

Hector and Jessy proceed into the tiny room where the gold nuggets were being kept securely.
Hector looked at his daughter. "What is it, child? You want some gold nuggets?" he inquired.
Jessy shook her head. "No Dad. I'm not here for gold, I'm here for Mom. I will visit the mansion tomorrow and I want to bring Mom to the mansion with me. Give her your permission, please? And how about if you two will go with us for a change? Yeah...see new environment once in a while...and besides it's been a long time that you and mom have not set foot in the mansion. Why don't you guys go with me? I would be very happy..." she said, her face was brimming with excitement. "Pleaseeee!" she begged.
Hector stared at his daughter's excited face for a few minutes.
"Alright, your mother and I will go with you to the mansion. Happy now?" he said smiling at his daughter.
Jessy can't contain her happiness, her eyes welled up, she hugged his father tightly. "Thank you so much, Dad, this means a world to me!"
"Anything else, daughter?" Hector asked, wanting to do more for her to make her happy.
"Hmm, I just want to inform you that I hired a homeless man from the street to work in the mansion and be Nana Aida's companion. Hope it's okay with you, Dad, his name is Grandpa Waldo, he is a good man, Adam and I like him a lot," she explained apprehensively fearing that her father would scold her for doing such a thing without his permission.
Hector's face displayed a bright smile, it's meant to wipe his daughter's apprehension. "Don't worry daughter as long Grandpa Waldo is a good man, I have no problem with him working in the mansion, besides, Nana Aida needs a companion because the mansion is enormous it would be lonely and hard for a lone woman to work on it alone," he clearly understood Nana Aida's situation.
"Thank you, Dad, for your understanding! Let's travel tomorrow by car..." she said.

Hector brows furrowed. "Huh? Why don't you just use your power and teleport us directly into the mansion? It will save us time during traveling," he said.
Jessy grinned. "I can use my power, but for your information, Grandpa Waldo might have a heart attack if he suddenly sees us appearing in the living room of the mansion without further notice, he's completely blind about our real identity, unlike Nana Aida," she explained.
"Ah, I see. No problem. I guess I will just leave everything to you since you are the one who invited me?" he said cheekily.
"That's right, leave everything to me. I'm the event organizer. Just bring some clothes because we will go night swimming in the lake, then we'll have a bonfire in the evening and grilled some chicken and pork beside the lake. I know you miss the lake already? Am I right, Dad?" she said.
Hector's eyes brightened. "Yes, of course, I miss everything about the mansion. It's about time to visit it again," he said looking forward to the outing with his entire family.
"Dad, I will bring Adam with me and also his friend Caden," she added.
"No problem, the more the merrier. I happened to know about Caden because your mother told me about Adam's friend. As long he can be trusted I will have no issues with him," Hector said.
"Wow, this is nice, I'm super excited about our outing tomorrow!" Jessy was beaming with happiness. "I'm going now, Dad, back to the clinic for blood transfusion. Bye, Dad!" she said.
"Bye daughter!" Hector watched happily as his daughter left the room.
...
Jessy arrived at the clinic and lies down in the bed ready for the blood transfusion, she smiled at the doctor.
"Doc, I'm going to have a day off tomorrow the whole day. We will resume blood transfusion the next day, that will be on Monday," she informed him.
"No problem, Jess. Rest as much as you can," the doctor replied.
"You should rest too, Doc," she smiled fondly at him. "And befriend a lady..." she joked.
"Sounds a good idea, I might do that. Thanks for your suggestion," he grinned.
Jessy smiled and kept to herself. In her mind, she was already planning on the things that she would do to make their family outing a successful and a memorable one.
She's getting super excited!
During her two hours break, she will go to the city to visit Adam in his condo and inform him about the good news.
She's so thrilled! It will be the first time that she will have her mother and father with her back into the mansion where everything started.
She closed her eyes and starts imagining in her mind the beautiful scenery around the mansion.
...
Two hours later. The blood transfusion has ended.
Break time.
"Bye Doc, I'll be back later!" Jessy bid goodbye to the doctor eager to teleport into Adam's room in his condo unit.
"Bye Jess," the doctor replied.
Jessy walked out of the room excitedly. She went back to her room and changed her clothes. Then she initiated the teleportation process in her mind.
A minute later, she landed inside Adam's room.
She's lucky 'coz he was just recently finished bathing and currently taking dry clothes from his closet.
"Hi handsome...I'm here!" she smiled broadly at Adam.
Adam's eyes twinkled. "I see, you're too early but I'm not complaining," he said and with a big stride come to Jessy's side and enveloped her in his sweet embrace. "I miss you!" he said and kissed her cheeks.
"I miss you too! I have big news! I'm so excited!" Jessy exclaimed in glee.
Adam raised his brow. "Come on tell me, what is it?"
"I finally convinced my parents to come to the mansion after a long time. They agreed to come with us tomorrow morning! Isn't that amazing?" she beamed feeling so good inside.

Living a Long Life as a Legend
Reincarnating into a game-like version of a medieval magical world was fine and all. A good blend of two enjoyable tropes. Lock wished he'd been born with a bunch of cheats sometimes, sure, but he could settle with being functionally immortal by abusing the system as well.
