The Last Embrace Chapter 454

The moment they stepped inside the police station, they were ushered into the investigation room.
Their guy was already sitting on the chair his hands were tucked by a handcuffed on his back. He didn't even raise his head to see the visitor, he kept to himself and fixed his stare on the floor.
The police officer who escorted the guy exited the room.
"Let's get started," Jessy waved her hand at the guy freezing him instantly. She went to his side and placed her hands on his head to start reading his mind.
Jessy does her thing while Oliver was watching the process.
A few minutes later.
Jessy glanced at Oliver who is holding his pen. "This guy was the one who financed the hostage-taking situation that happened in the Pearl Hotel, there could be another important figure or syndicate supporting these guys behind the scenes. This guy and the leader of the hostage-taker were cousins. They're regularly chatting on the CyberTalk messenger app. His username there is....ahMEd346 and his password is...NagSak*&23. I'm sure a lot of information can be found in their conversation in the messaging app. As for the rest of his companion, those three...they're just accomplices, but to be sure I need to read their minds as well. I'm done with this guy," she said.
Jessy unfreezes the frozen guy with just one wave of her hand.
A police officer entered the room and took the guy away, while another guy was escorted inside the room.
After the police officer exited the room, Jessy waved her hand freezing the guy instantly. She went to the guy's side and placed her hand on his frozen head.
Thirty minutes later.
"This guy was not involved in hostage-taking or anything. He was just the brother of our main guy. He was an engineer and has no idea what his brother is doing with his life and his extracurricular activities online and offline. This guy is the owner of that house where our main guy was hiding during the arrest. That's all. I'm done with him," Jessy revealed.

"Next!" she said.
The second guy was taken out from the room and the third guy entered the investigation room accompanied by his police escort.
Jessy stared at the guy for a few seconds, freezing him with her gaze and then the guy become a statue frozen in time. She went to his side and placed her hands on his head to begin the mind-reading process.
Thirty minutes later.
Jessy looked at Oliver. "This guy here is one of the accomplices, but his involvement in the hostage-taking was minimal, he just help purchase the equipment's and others, and does some errands for the financier. In short, he was just an errand boy, he did not participate in heinous crimes or other related criminal offense. That's all," she said and unfreeze the guy.
After the third guy was taken out of the room, the last guy was brought in.
Jessy repeats the same process to the fourth guy.
Thirty minutes later.
Jessy looked at Oliver. "This guy here has the same role as of that third guy. However, his offense is much greater compared to the others, his main job is to scout for buildings or any public places in the city where the bombing and terrorism can be carried out producing maximum terror, harm, and damages to be inflicted on the masses. In short, this guy was the one who chose Pearl Hotel as the venue for the hostage-taking that transpired recently, he should be locked up for a long time along with that financier. As for the other guys, they are just an accessory, with no direct involvement in the crime itself. That's all," she concluded and unfreeze the guy.
The fourth guy was taken out of the investigation room.
A police officer came inside and Oliver handed the username and password of the CyberTalk messaging app to the officer.
After the police personnel departed from the room, Jessy glanced at Oliver. "Are we done here?" she asked.

"I think we are. Let's get out of here," Olive answered.
They went to the office of the Assistant Chief officer and asked for permission to leave.
"Can we go now, Sir?" Oliver asked his superior politely.
The officer smiled. "Good job guys, you make our job easier!" he said appreciatively.
"You're welcome, Sir!" Jessy and Oliver said in unison.
"You may go now. Ah, where are you going next?" the officer asked.
"We're trying to investigate the massacre that happened a year ago on that family residing in the town outside the city," Oliver responded.
"Oh, okay. It would be nice if you can find the missing daughter. I think she holds the key to the murder mystery that took place one year ago. As of now we have no leads and sadly it's becoming a cold case," the officer said.
"We will try our best, Sir," Jessy responded. Then she looked at the officer. "If you still have lots of unsolved cases that were gathering in the dust, if I'm free, I might be able to take a look at them and see what could be done. But I can't promise you that I will be able to solve all the cases due to many years that pass by," she said.
The Assistant Chief officer smiled broadly. "Thank you for your interest of the unsolved cases, Agent X. I will have someone in my department to dig the unsolved cases that were gathering dust in the storage area, we will start with the recent ones and the most relevant ones," he said. "I will inform you and your partner if we already dig up and compile everything for easy access," he cheerfully said. "You may go now. I hope you two will have quicker success in finding the missing daughter," he added.
"Thank you, Sir!" Jessy and Oliver said.
They stood up and left the room.
Outside the police station, Jessy looked up heavenward. "Do we still have enough time left to go to the countryside?"
Olive looked at his Rolex watch. "It's still 2:00 in the afternoon. Yeah, we still have plenty of time," he answered.
Jessy holds her grumbling stomach. "Ouch, I'm starving!"
"Ah, we missed lunchtime. Where do you want us to eat in the restaurant or my apartment?" Oliver asked.
"In the restaurant, we have to take off our face mask. While in your apartment we can eat freely without a mask. In your apartment then," she responded.
"Okay," Oliver replied.
They went to the parking area and entered Oliver's car. He took out his phone from his sling bag and looked at his partner. "Any particular dishes you like to eat?"
"I want a combination of vegetables, seafood, and a chicken dish. I'm just so hungry..." she complained while grinning.
"Just wait a little bit, Madam. I already got your order and it will be delivered to the apartment as soon as possible," he said after ordering online from his favorite restaurant.
Done dropping his phone in his sling bag, Oliver started the engine and drove away from the police station going back to his apartment.
The food delivery service arrived at the apartment just a few minutes after Jessy and Oliver entered the door.
"Lunchtime!" Oliver announced ecstatically.
"About time!" Jessy squealed.
She quickly took the food from the delivery boy's hands while Oliver paid the take out foods in cash.
A few minutes later, they were happily munching on their delicious mouthwatering meals and rested for a few minutes before venturing outside again.
