Chapter 239: Knowing Your Own Place
“Are you sure you wanna compete?” The first elder glanced at Su Huiqing, suddenly thought of something, and said cautiously, “No usage of the particle beam gun.”
If she were to use the particle beam gun, almost no one among the younger generation was her match.
“To deal with you guys,” Su Huiqing saw that Dugu Heng had calmed down, leisurely loosened her hand, looked at the first elder, and smiled in an exceedingly evil manner. “I don’t have to activate the particle beam gun yet.”
The first elder saw that Dugu Heng didn’t object and immediately set the time. “Three days later then.”
He was afraid that if he delayed anymore, Dugu Heng would object.
And Dugu Heng stood quietly aside, looked on with his black eyes, but didn’t object either.
Seeing that he didn’t object, the first elder and the rest tried beef up his confidence and started a discussion about the competition details.
Dugu Xing turned slightly, opened his eyes, looked at Su Huiqing, and frowned slightly. “Missy, are you serious?”
Su Huiqing retracted her gaze and leisurely grunted in acknowledgment.
Su Huiqing couldn’t be bothered to look amicable towards someone who didn’t like her.
In this world, besides her family and friends, she didn’t care about how the others looked at her either.
“I heard that you came from Green City. Perhaps you aren’t sure what exactly our Dugu Family do.” Dugu Xing smiled mysteriously. “Our competition isn’t those Tom, Dick, or Harry that you’re thinking. The Dugu Family has all kinds of talents and can do anything easily—you definitely haven’t seen them before. However, you’ve just returned to the Dugu Family and haven’t practiced before—we’ll be considered as bullying you to compete with you. Are you sure you won’t reconsider it?”
On the surface, this seemed to be persuading Su Huiqing.
However, it also held a tinge of sarcasm and secretly mocking Su Huiqing for knowing nothing.
Su Huiqing retrieved her phone. Hearing this, Dugu Xing smirked. “Can’t tell that you’re powerful at all.”
“Miss Xing, she already wants to take your spot, why do you still care about her?!” Dugu Xing has always been a model to these disciples. Now that they saw her being bullied by Su Huiqing, they were naturally infuriated—they especially despised Su Huiqing for being someone who depended on her father. “Such a person deserves to die!”

It was a powerful and talented Dugu Xing against an ignorant Su Huiqing who came back out of the blue and only knew how to depend on her father.
The young people’s likes and dislikes were very obvious. Indeed, Su Huiqing’s situation and role right now wasn’t really likable.
Upon returning, she had used her biological father’s power to make Dugu Xing, who was in a weaker position to give up her spot.
Since she was already a villain, Su Huiqing might just very well take the role, never to change in the future.
For a villain, it shouldn’t be much of a problem to bully people unreasonably from day to day?
“Say no more.” Dugu Xing shot the person who spoke at a glance.
She was still very respected among the group of young people. At this instant, nobody talked anymore. Although they felt bad for Dugu Xing, they eventually only looked at Su Huiqing in disdain.
“I heard that Missy also graduated from the Monster University. It’s tough to make it to the Monster University from your hometown—there are merely a few people every year.” The young lady standing behind Dugu Xing said, her face beaming with smiles. “I wonder what position did Missy get in the entrance examinations? How many checkpoints did you pass?”
Although she was smiling, her voice was full of sarcasm.
After she said that, the others looked at Su Huiqing instinctively with weird looks.
How could someone from Green City make it to the Monster University—Dugu Heng must have helped and given the Monster University many benefits. Thinking of this, the people didn’t look too happy.
Even people from influential families might not be able to enter the Monster University.
After all, they only took in that many people every year.
Thinking of this, that girl sneered—one could fake anything but the entrance examinations. “In the past, Missy got right up to the 17th checkpoint and got the 171th placing in all of history.”
Upon hearing this, everyone around them couldn’t help but chuckle. “Hey, Cousin Missy, to compare to Missy Xing is akin to bullying others—there aren’t many people in the Dugu Family who made it into the top 500 positions in history.”
Dugu Xing’s face was expressionless—she wasn’t proud at all as she spoke mildly, “It’s only the 171th place and can’t be compared to Brother Ji-an. Don’t compare anyone to me.”
Su Huiqing rested her hand on Su Ruohua’s shoulder as she couldn’t be bothered about these people.

To squabble with a group of young people lowered her position too much.
With her identity and knowledge… she really couldn’t do it.
However, the elders who had been discussing with Dugu Heng seemed to hear these as they suddenly turned around and smiled. “Xing-er has always been very outstanding and has always been ranked at the top during her practice journey. It wasn’t easy for her to squeeze into the historical ranking list then. Eldest Young Missy, you’re also from the Monster University—have you seen the historical ranking list?”
They wanted to let Dugu Heng know that Su Huiqing indeed didn’t fit into the Dugu Family.
At the same time, they wanted to let Su Huiqing know what she shouldn’t lay her hands on.
Su Huiqing rested her chin on Su Ruohua’s shoulder with a leisurely and mild smile on her gorgeous face.
Hmm… should she tell them that one of the two hand prints at the grand entrance of the Monster University was hers?
However, she was still lacking the impulsiveness of a young person.
She was exceptionally calm.
Dugu Heng has probably been promoted to a protector of his daughter and couldn’t bear to see Su Huiqing suffer humiliation at all—especially how Dugu Xing acted like Su Huiqing couldn’t be compared to her.
Dugu Heng sneered.
The first elder was still speaking. “It’s okay. Since you’ve gotten into the Monster University, treasure this opportunity well—not everyone has the…”
He reached out, tidied his jacket, and looked over at the first elder who was speaking, and spoke in a gentle voice, “First elder, Xing-er, don’t you know that someone has topped the historical ranking list this year?”
“Topped the list?” Interrupted by him, the first elder was suddenly stunned at such an event. “Which family is he from—he actually broke that person’s record—could it be that person from the Yu Family…”
Hearing Dugu Heng’s words, Su Huiqing raised her brow, her fingers that were pressing Su Ruohua’s shoulder stopped momentarily.
What—the grand head of the Dugu Family was actually squabbling with a bunch of inferiors?
Dugu Xing had been cultivating and didn’t follow the happenings in the outside world. However, she knew that Dugu Heng was shifting the topic away from Su Huiqing. She only said mildly, “I didn’t know about it—it can’t be Eldest Young Missy right…”
Her final statement was really just to mock Su Huiqing.
Someone from the Green City broke the record? It was indeed highly unlikely.
After she spoke, many people giggled sarcastically uncontrollably.
Seeing their reactions, Dugu Heng also smiled. “Indeed, it was her.”
Everyone fell into an eerie silence!
However, Dugu Heng didn’t seem to feel it as he continued smiling to himself. “Qingqing has always kept a low profile—although she has beaten that legendary unbeatable record in the International Association, she didn’t boast about it. Now, her photo is still hanging in high up in the hall of fame, right at the top row.”
If Dugu Xing wanted to make use of Su Huiqing to make her seem better, he had to be agreeable to it.
His daughter had returned not to let this bunch of people plot against.
Dugu Xing’s smile was slightly stiff. How could she not understand what Dugu Heng meant—about Su Huiqing being low-profile and not boasting about it—he was just using this incident to mock at her!
However, this Missy who had returned out of the blue was rumored to be an ordinary person—her bloodline was even tainted. But… she actually topped the charts of the freshmen?
At this instant, even the first elder was slightly stunned.
Thinking about how Su Huiqing said that she wanted to compete with Dugu Xing—could she really be capable or had Dugu Heng been teaching her in secret?
At this thought, he looked at Su Huiqing. “What do you study in university?”
Su Huiqing threw the phone in her hand away. Hearing this, she turned, glanced in the direction of the first elder, and smiled leisurely. “Oh, performing arts.”
Actually, she was learning everything.
However, it wasn’t wrong to say performing arts.
She remembered that there was a movie that had been in the editing stage for a year—it should be showing soon?
Hearing this answer, the first elder’s smile melted as he replied mildly, “Hmm.”
The best course in the Monster University was potion study, as well as some others that were somewhat practical. However, the performing arts course… the first elder as well as some others couldn’t help but laugh as they exchanged glances—indeed, she was from Green City.
“In this case, let’s have the competition three days later. Today, the Eldest Young Missy has also joined the family tree.” The first elder and the others glanced at Su Huiqing and added in a low voice, “One must know her own place and what she is entitled to—banking on appearances won’t last long.”
