It was getting cold in the night and Xiao li didn't bring any jacket when leaving the villa in the morning, so she hugged herself and rubbed her palms against her arms.

Jingyi Wang saw this, removed his jacket and draped it around her shoulders. ​ ​

When Xiao li felt the warm jacket on her body, she was shocked, but her lips stretched into a smile as she raised her head to look at him. She said, "How do you know that I was here? Were you close to the building earlier?"

When she suddenly remembered that Jingyi Wang came in after she was hit by that mad woman, she thought that it was not a coincidence. Perhaps, this man had assigned some people to follow her where ever she went.

She looked at him, waiting for an answer, but the man didn't reply her. Instead, he walked her to his car and opened the car door for her to enter.

"I brought a car here today myself"

She reminded him.

"Let your driver drive it back. Just enter the this one"

Xiao li glanced around and saw that the car that brought her had started moving. That was when she entered his car.

The moment Jingyi Wang entered the car, he glanced at her, "What do you want to eat?"

"Anything will do. Eating simple is good enough"

"The issue about you being bullied by others, why didn't you retaliate earlier?" his voice was calm, but he was clearly upset about the fact that she had been acting strong all the time.

When he looked at her swollen and red cheek again, he felt his heart raged.

He was vexed!

Xiao li could best be described as strong willed, stubborn and annoying who gave him headache everytime. She wouldn't allow herself to be cheated on and would do everything to seek justice. However, when he saw this Xiao li being slapped and bullied by others, he felt as though he was seeing things.

He couldn't believe that she didn't retaliate when bullied, thus it fueled the anger in his heart.

He didn't like that type of Xiao li!

"I felt that it was not necessary. Hitting her back would only make her think I accepted what she called me earlier. Also, I felt that she was just a little girl who doesn't understand anything at all"

She said with a sigh.

Jingyi Wang heard her and didn't say anything. He thought of what she said and felt that she was right afterall, but that didn't give anyone the right to hit his woman.

At that moment, Xiao li felt a warm hand on her burning cheek. She was shocked and she turned her head only to see the man, one hand on the wheel and the other on her cheek.

"Does it hurt?" he asked, his voice was soft like the summer breeze. He gently rubbed her cheek with his thumb as if scared that he might hurt her if he applied too much force.

Xiao li shook her head, "No, I'm not feeling pain anymore"

In actual fact, her cheek was burning with pain that she had to grit her teeth to hide the pain. If she were to tell him the truth, Jingyi Wang would blow up in rage and hurt someone.

Jingyi Wang grabbed his phone and made a phone call, "Call the doctor over, Xiao li had an injury"

Xiao li was stunned, "What injury? It's just a slap and I told you already that it's not hurting anymore. I don't think we need a-"

At that time, she felt a sharp pain coming from her cheek. She knew it was because she had tried to reason with him not to call the doctor, and now it hurts like crazy. Even if she cried because of the pain, it would be too late.

She gritted her teeth and beared the pain, "I won't argue with you anymore"

It was turning dark, the streets lights outside the car were bright. Xiao li stared outside for a while, but could not help turning to ask, "Why did you appear there just now?"

"Just passed by" he wasn't telling a lie, he really just passed by and saw her.

G.South hospital did have several roads nearby. It seemed like it was necessary to go by them to return from A.B company to the villa.

Xiao li stopped asking and turned her head to stare at him. Jingyi Wang wore a black handmade shirt. She could not see any obvious brand tag, but with one glance, it was clear that it was not cheap.

She thought that later when they got home, she would have him try the shirt that she had bought.

Jingyi Wang felt her gaze on him and said, "Your husband is so handsome, right?"

Xiao li was stunned. She has a mocking smile on her face, "Husband? Who told you that you are my husband?" After she said that, the car came into an abrupt stop which made her jeck forward. She had yet to react when she felt his breath spill on her face.

"Say that again!"

Xiao li trembled when she felt the cold air exuding from his delicate figure. His nearness made her feel hot all over.

She lowered her eyes and shook her head.

She didn't dare to say that again.

If she would not want to be thrown out of the car.

When Jingyi Wang saw her reaction, he smiled and gently patted her head, "Good. Very good. My baby knows what's best for her" he sat in his seat, started the engine and the car started moving.

Jingyi Wang directly drove back to the villa without bringing her to eat. He directly brought her to the master bedroom and had the doctor attend to her.

The man dressed in white robe gently applied the ointment to her cheek. As he did so, Xiao li's face turned pale and sweat broke out on her forehead. It seemed that she was trying to bear the pain.

Earlier, Hong fei applied too much force when she hit her. As a result of this, Xiao li's cheek burned and turned red.

Jingyi Wang saw this and his face darkened. He knew that this stupid woman was only lying when she said that it wasn't painful earlier, but he pretended not to know and kept quiet.

Now that he saw her in pain, he couldn't help, but want to bully her, "Lili, didn't you tell me that it was not painful or did you lie to me?" his lips curled into a smile.

The next moment he looked at her, the smile on his face stiffened and it was replaced with a frown. He saw the tears falling like stream from her eyes and thought that his words hurt her. He knew she was proving that she was brave and strong earlier and he shouldn't have exposed her lie.

"I'm sorry, little Lili. I shouldn't have said that" he moved closer and pulled her into his arms. The doctor had to step aside when he saw this and watch from the side.

Xiao li looked at him with a pouty lips, "You won't let others bully me, yet you are bullying me" her words seemed like she was complaining bitterly from her heart.

In reality, she was not crying because of this words, but because of the pain, but since she saw that Jingyi Wang felt bad that she was crying because of his words, she let him be.

"No one else can bully you, I am the only one allowed to bully you" his fragile heart ached when he saw her palm- sized face stained with tears. "Don't cry again, okay? Does it hurt? Should I take you to the hospital?"

The doctor heard this and instantly chimed in,"Ah, Young master, I don't think there is any need of taking her to the hospital. Since I've applied the ointment, I'm sure it won't hurt her by tomorrow morning"

As soon as he said that, he felt cold breeze brush passed his entire body, he shivered uncontrollably. "Young master, I was-"

"Scram!"

He didn't wait a minute before he packed his instrument and disappeared from the room. Afterwards, Jingyi Wang face expression changed to a soft one, "Tell me, why did you go to the shopping mall earlier?" he asked.
