Necromancer: Divine-Level Summoning Chapter 4

Soul Suppression City was the first city built by humans when they entered the Sky Blue Border a thousand years ago.
It was made to be the base camp of the entire human race on the Blue Sky Border. This was the frontline of the human race as well as their final protective barrier.
In the past countless years, Soul Suppression City had blocked countless invasions from the otherworldly demons.
So many years had passed, however Soul Suppression City remained standing and had never been broken through.
After experiencing countless expansions, the scale of Soul Suppressing City had become extremely large. Now, it had already become one of the five great human cities in the Sky Blue Border.
"Do you see that? The people you see here are not only mages but civilians."
"Although our city is not as prosperous as those cities in the Sky Blue Continent, it can still be considered a safe city."
"As long as Soul Suppression City isn't breached, you new recruits don't have to worry about your own safety."
"Even if foreign enemies come, us veterans will still stand in front of you."
"Remember, your mission here is to grow up well. Before you grow up, even if the sky falls, we old things will hold it up."
"After passing through this street, we'll arrive at Soul Suppression Academy. That is your destination."
Noticing the strange looks from the new recruits behind him, Norton scolded in a joking manner,
"Don't look at me like that. Do you think you can enter the battlefield just because you just arrived? No, you need to learn first."
Norton continued to babble on as the new recruits looked curiously at the bustling streets of Soul Suppression City.
The streets of Soul Suppression City were functional yet aesthetically pleasing. There were antique towers, tall and luxurious blockhouses, hotels, auctions, apothecaries, materials shops, and general stores.
In those open areas on the streets, there were also many mages who were selling magic materials.

Many people dressed as mages would stop in front of these mages who were setting up stalls.
They would pick one or two of the materials that they liked, paying for them before continuing their journey.
There were also others, for reasons of price or quality, shook their heads and cursed as they walked.
Under Norton's lead, everyone arrived at the entrance of Soul Suppressing Academy.
The academy was the number one magic academy in Soul Suppression City, and it was one of the earliest magic academies established by the Mage Union.
Ever since the establishment of Soul Suppression Academy, it had traditionally received new recruits who just came to Soul Suppression City.
The moment everyone stepped into Soul Suppressing Academy.
Countless students from Soul Suppression Academy surrounded them.
"Look, look, another batch of recruits have arrived."
"There are quite a number of girls in this batch of rookies. It looks like we can finally improve the situation of having more wolves than meat."
"Let's not talk about the girls for now. Look at the boys in the new recruits. They are all arrogant and unruly. I think we should teach them the old rules and let them know what a senior means."
"Hehe, is there a need for you to remind us? Think about how we were bullied by those seniors back then. Now that new students have finally arrived, how can we not bully them back!"
"That's right, that's right. While these guys are still apprentices, we have to bully them and establish our prestige."
"You guys are right. Respect seniors in school, respect the seniors in society. We have to hammer this into these newbies."
...
Countless current students of Soul Suppression Academy were like hungry wolves, looking at these new recruits with excitement in their eyes, their mouths constantly discussing.
Hearing those scary words coming out of the seniorss mouth, some of the recruits were so scared that their legs were trembling.

Their instincts told them that the next few days after entering Soul Suppression Academy would definitely be extremely uncomfortable.
...
Under the fearful gazes of the new recruits, Norton brought them to a field in Soul Suppressing Academy.
The field was filled with people. The recruits from all over the world were gathered on the field.
The hubbub of noise continued to spread out from the crowd. Every recruit's eyes were filled with novelty.
In order to welcome this batch of new recruits, Soul Suppression Academy had already arranged for their teachers in charge to receive them.
After meeting up with this batch's teacher in charge, Norton turned around and brought the new recruits over.
"Alright, rookies. From now on, my task is complete. I am no longer your leader."
"In the future, if you encounter any problems in the City, don't come looking for me. Even if you come looking for me, I won't have time to bother with you."
"Of course, if you really encounter something that you can't solve, I will still help you take a look, although it might not be of any use."
Norton said it heartlessly.
However, after interacting with him for so many days, the new recruits had already figured out that he had a sharp tongue but a soft heart.
On the way to Soul Suppression City, Norton took very good care of everyone.
"Leader, don't go."
"Leader, we will miss you."
"Awww, I'm so sad. The leader left just like that."
Norton looked at the new soldiers whose eyes were filled with tears. He was very touched, but on the surface, he still looked cold and arrogant.
"What are you crying for? I'm not dead yet. Go back and find your teacher."
With that, Norton turned and left.
At the same time, the teacher in charge of teaching the new recruits walked up.
"You don't have to be sad. You'll definitely meet Norton again."
"For all of you newcomers, I formally welcome you to the Soul Suppression Academy. I am your teacher. You may call me John."
"From now on, you have five years to study and train at the Academy, as long as you don't violate any of the Academy's rules…"
"Alright, I've told you everything I should."
"Now, please pick up your mage identification cards and register at the center of the field immediately. Our training will officially begin tomorrow."
The teacher, John, introduced the rules of Soul Suppression Academy to everyone before pointing at the registration desk in the center of the field.
The recruits didn't hesitate. They lined up and walked in the direction Teacher John pointed.
This year, Soul Suppression Academy had recruited a lot of newcomers. There were thousands of them. After two hours, Keaton Merlin finally completed his recruitment process and was assigned to his dormitory.
"I'm finally free."
After registering, Keaton Merlin finally understood why the recruitment process was conducted as a military recruitment, but was actually recruiting students.
The reason why Soul Suppressing Academy did this was because they made use of the lofty desire of Sky Blue Continent's mages to protect mankind.
If they did not use this move, they would not be able to compete with those magic academies on the Sky Blue Continent in terms of enrollment count.
However, Keaton Merlin didn't mind.
The reason why he joined the Sky Blue Border Guard Army and entered Soul Suppression City was entirely because he wanted to complete the mission given by the system.
"I had better enjoy my academy life. Who knows when I'll need to run away."
While sighing with emotion, Keaton walked towards his dormitory.
However, before he could walk far, he heard a familiar 'Ding!'

Raven: The Beginning
'What's the worst that could happen'? is what I thought to myself as I entered the World of the Veil with a new, experimental machine that the company created. I was originally excited to participate in their alpha test, and now, looking back, I was just a naive little girl that didn't know what it was like to truly suffer. Sarah was one of the world's best assassin players, but she wasn't prepared for getting stuck as a low-level player in a new game. Suddenly she has to struggle just to survive against the monsters of the world, while also keeping her secret from the authorities. What happens when the killing, and the consequences, are just too real? Author's Note (and a Warning): This book is about a normal person that is forced into a fantasy / medieval environment. What could possibly go wrong with our heroine? This novel is a sort of, legacy. I wanted to at least put it out there before I passed away due to a combination of financial difficulty, homelessness, job loss, and my last interview taking up the last of my savings (which I did not get the job). If by some miracle, and I get a job that can give me a pay advance by next week (4/8) and I survive this turbulent time, I will edit this - and the formating of the book). If you are so willing, please donate on my patreon page. Regards, Dave
