Necromancer: Divine-Level Summoning Chapter 35

"Soul Calming Flower!"
A deep, hoarse voice came from Hurley's mouth.
Following Hurley's gaze, the other two looked over.
In a place shrouded in smoke, they saw two Soul Calming Flowers!
The three of them were extremely happy. Right now, they had already found two Soul Calming Flowers before even needing to walk into the center of Fallen Sky Lake. Even if they were to return now, their trip would not have been in vain!
Overjoyed, Hurley began to make her way towards the Soul Calming Flower.
At this moment, Keaton, who stood behind both of them, suddenly let out a low sound of warning.
Roar!
Just as Keaton sounded the warning, four 7m tall demons suddenly appeared in front of Hurley.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk… It's actually three young humans who have walked to such a deep place."
Looking at the three of them, the tallest one among the demons let out an unpleasant scraping noise!
Looking at the four demons towering in front of them, both Hurley and Samira turned pale.
From the aura emitted by these demons, the strength of these demons had far exceeded theirs.
What was scary was that these demons had high intelligence!
They were in big trouble!
Unable to dodge the upcoming fight, Hurley quickly rushed in front of the two Soul Calming Flowers.
She reached out in a flash, the two Soul Calming Flowers falling into her hands.
After putting away the flowers, she condensed her flaming long blade.
"Samira, use your Blessing on me!"
As she charged towards the demons, Hurley shouted in their direction.
Samira's reaction was not slow either. The two of them had experienced many battles together, and their tacit understanding had long reached a level that others could not reach.
A beam of light descended, and Hurley, who was originally moving rapidly, had her speed increased once again, leaving only a fiery red afterimage.

At the same time, a green airflow emerged from Hurley's body. Just by its appearance, one could tell that it was a wind attribute magic.
"This girl's combat capabilities aren't weak. No wonder she had the guts to compete with me."
Keaton sighed in his heart, but he had no intention of joining the battle yet.
He could now tell that Hurley was a rare dual-elemental magus.
What was even more impressive was that both Hurley's wind and fire attribute magic had already reached a certain level of proficiency.
With her strength, she did not need him to make a move yet.
"You don't have to do anything first. Leave the four demons here to the two of us."
Hurley's voice came from the side. Standing next to Keaton, Samira also nodded her head lightly, agreeing with her suggestion.
The next moment, Sarmila chanted an incantation, and a wave of energy that was as gentle as sunlight spread out in all directions, but most of the energy was poured into Hurley instead.
Kedan felt a sharp pain blossom in his head when he saw the Blessing of Light spell.
Although he was their teammate, he definitely did not want this light wave to land on his head.
He was a Necromancer. This Blessing of Light Spell was definitely a super powerful buff for others, but one that spelled his doom.
"Keaton, why don't you join in the battle too? I'll apply my Blessing spell to you."
As soon as Samira finished speaking, Keaton broke out in cold sweat. He immediately waved his hands and declined.
"No, no, I'm a Dark Summoner. Your blessing spell is poison to me!"
Just like Necromancers, Dark Element mages were countered by those of the Light Element.
"Oh, I forgot!"
Samira knocked her forehead in embarassment as she apologized.

"You guys can go first. If it really doesn't work out, you guys can retreat and I'll join in as well."
Meanwhile, on Hurley's side….
After receiving Samira's blessing, Hurley's aura soared.
As she was an extremely rare melee type magus, the way she fought resembled a Paladin. She was like a fierce general on the battlefield, and blood flowed where she passed.
However, two fists were no match for eight hands. In the end, Hurley still could not defeat these four Rank 4 demons!
At this moment, Keaton suddenly shouted out.
"Duck!"
Hurley instantly reacted, quickly lowering her head. The next moment, a huge black shadow flew over!
It was the Abyss Snake that Keaton had summoned!
On the way to the Fallen Sky Lake, Keaton had managed to obtain quite a number of system points. After ensuring his bottom line of 10,000 points, he took out an extra 3,000 points and promoted the Abyss Snake!
The Abyss Snake was now equivalent to a Rank 4 Summon!
With his strength, the four Rank 4 demons in front of it were no match for it.
Unlike the previous Demon Lord that the Snake fought, while they were all at Rank 4, the combat power of the four demons in front of them was far lower than the Demon Lord, who was approaching the Rank 5 tier!
The current battle prowess of the Abyss Snake could completely crush the four demons.
The Abyss Snake was extremely huge, thus as soon as it charged into the group of demons, it broke apart their formation.
Seeing their comrades being sliced apart by the Abyss Snake, the leader of the demon group roared and charged towards the Abyss Snake with a bone blade.
Boom!
The two massive bodies crashed into each other, kicking up a cloud of dust.
The collision actually caused the surroundings to be impacted as well!
The moment the demons' attention were focused on the Abyss Snake, Keaton silently summoned the Centaur Lady.
As soon as she was summoned, she became aware of how dangerous the battlefield was.
Without waiting for Keaton's order, the Centaur Lady immediately released her Berserk spell.
The next moment, there was a beam of red light, and the Abyss Snake's body suddenly expanded, dwarfing the four demons.
Roar!
With the enhancement given by the Berserk spell, the Abyss Snake was bursting with confidence. It raised its head high and let out a loud roar.
Upon seeing this, shock filled the faces of Samira and Hurley.
They had seen this Abyss Snake before. Although they were very far away from it at that time, they still remembered that the Abyss Snake's aura wasn't that powerful!
"Could he have summoned another one?"
Hurley and Samira exchanged a look. They both saw surprise in each other's eyes.
At this moment, the Abyss Snake activated its ultimate skill!

From the Final World
I have lived a long, long time. Longer than the universe knows; longer than any star has seen or traveling light records. My memories; that is all that is left that knows that length, and that which was seen within it. Then again, that is all that ever did. When I am gone, it will be forgotten, a truth and a history lost forever no matter who or what tries to find it. I think that is why I write this now. A record, or a lament, of the most significant being of all time. It is a prideful exaltation of endless triumph, or the dread condemnation of infinite evil. I don’t know which; I shall leave it for others to judge. I could explain further, of course. I could list the sins that have been committed, the deeds that have been done. Yet for now, I believe this is enough. Her story will speak for itself. About the good, and evil, in the heart of a single girl burdened with more than her fair share. And how she reacted to it. So, I will tell her story. Of gods and devils, mortals and monsters, of legends long forgotten and civilizations long turned to dust. And in the end, I hope she knows herself, whether it is salvation, or destruction, she should receive.

Macabre Mim
*Note: This story is on hiatus. I intend to pick it up again, but the mood of my life has shifted for the time being and I'm going to be working on a side project for a bit.* What would you give to live the life of your dreams? What kind of deal would you make? And when you were there, forced to stare your dreams in the eye and live them every day, how long would it be... before they broke you? Author's note: This is my first excursion outside the realm of villain fan fiction and I welcome feedback. The thing I've loved most about RRL so far is the potential for writing to be an interactive experience with excited readers. That said, also, the primary genre this is intended for is the blossoming realm of LitRPG. Namely, a slice of life tale in the manner of Grimgar or Re:Zero. So, likewise, I don't expect there will ever be a clear beginning-middle-and-end type of pattern to this story. It will likewise always be a bit more of a reactionary, exploratory novel into realms unknown - much like the 1800 travel-novel theme used by Jules Verne. Or, at least, that is my ambition.

The Successor
The Immortal God Emperor is dead...yet his Successor will one day arise. The worlds had long moved on from the greatest Cultivator of all time. The things that had been achieved and the advances made in the Immortal God Emperor's absence were nothing to turn one's nose up at. And yet, something was always missing. Because Cultivators, no matter the goals they pursue, always bow to the greater power. They seek it, they covet it for themselves, and they serve it with reverence. Shan Kai Lan was born into such a world. Born to two herb farmers whose cultivation did not surpass the Foundation Realm, yet who loved their son more than anything. Kai Lan was a child blessed by the Spiritual Plain, far more gifted and more intelligent than others his age. Yet the more profound his achievements, the greater the likelihood that his happy, peaceful life would be trampled on by those who desired his potential for themselves. The question of Kai Lan's journey becomes not whether he will reach the highest peak of cultivation, but what he will be forced to do to keep his young Clan, and the happiness it provides, at peace. Note to Reader: I am not of an Asian background, but this work is heavily influenced by Eastern stories and concepts. In saying that, it is an INFLUENCE only. Keep in mind that this is a fantasy work, and any butchering of names, concepts or cultural objects/places/subjects are not meant in any way to offend. With that in mind, Happy Reading! - Jelim
