Global Online Survival Chapter 17

Currently, the vast majority of players were still worried about the necessities such as food, water, and shelter.
Who would have thought that in just four days into the game someone would have started forging?
'We can't even get enough to eat, but you're already on the path of technology?'
The difference between the two was like the difference between a primitive society and a technological society.
This was just too great of a gap in people's minds.
It wasn't a matter of poverty but inequality.
It would have been fine if everyone was in a difficult position. But for Ye Jun, he was able to put up several hundred catties of fish every day.
Was he still human?
Were they playing the same game?
This was especially so since Ye Jun chose Death Mode!
Compared to Ye Jun, even the world's strongest survivalist looked so useless!
The world channel was filled with wails. Jealous comments, envious comments, constant complaints about Ye Jun not knowing how to share supplies, and comments vowing to report Ye Jun for cheating were all commonly found in the world channel.
In response, Ye Jun simply ignored them!
He removed the copper ingot and placed an ore back in. It soon began to melt.
Once that was done, he took out his forging hammer and began to forge the copper ingot.
This fist-sized copper ingot refined from ten metal ores was enough to create a dagger.
After receiving the title of Beginner Forger, Ye Jun felt some knowledge about forging appear in his mind. So even though he had never forged before, his muscles surprisingly reacted instinctively when he wielded the forging hammer.
Clang!
A crisp sound!
The copper ingot was easily smashed flat.
Dang, dang, dang…
A series of heavy strikes sounded like Los Angeles at four in the morning1.
An hour later, a dagger was gradually taking shape.
"Forged successfully, +1 Forging Proficiency."
The twenty-centimeter-long dagger glinted with sharpness.
Dagger (bronze), +10% Sharpness, +10% Hardness, +10% Durability.
This was the benefit of the forging hammer; it could add a ten percent increase to the item's attributes.
Otherwise, this ordinary copper ingot could only forge into an ordinary dagger.

Ye Jun put the dagger away. It just so happened that he was also lacking a dagger right now, and plus this was the first weapon he had forged, so naturally, he wanted to keep it for himself.
On the other side, the ore in the crucible was starting to melt again.
"Refined successfully, +1 copper ingot"
Dang, dang, dang…
After another hour of forging, Ye Jun got another bronze dagger!
This time however, Ye Jun didn't decide to keep it.
What he lacked most right now were money and lumber.
Long and short weapons, bows, and arrows, he had it all so no more was needed.
Ye Jun listed the dagger on the trading channel and said:
"Freshly forged bronze-grade dagger, +10% Sharpness, +10% Hardness, +10% Durability. For only 800 copper coins."
Ye Jun looked at the in-game store's bronze-grade dagger. It cost at least a thousand copper coins, so he had to lower his price.
800 copper coins was currently an amount of money that was hard to obtain for the majority of players right now.
However, Ye Jun believed that there would definitely be someone who could afford it among the billions of players across Bluestar.
As expected, the bronze dagger was soon bought.
Because Ye Jun had set it as an automatic transaction, the seller could take the goods directly after trading the coins, so the identity of the buyer would not be known.
Ye Jun guessed that it was probably a new player who hadn't traded with him before, or else they would have said hello to him.
This was clearly another sly old c**t.
It made sense that with billions of people on Bluestar, there was no shortage of survivalists or lucky players.
It was just that most of them were hidden and progressing while maintaining a low profile.
This was very normal, as everything was still unknown in this game. Who knew how far it would go in the future. It was certainly not wrong to keep a low profile and get rich secretly.
Ye Jun started forging again.
This time, he intended to forge a long weapon.
Long weapons for wilderness hunting would definitely be more popular and more expensive.

Although Ye Jun was going to forge a long weapon, he had no intention of adding anymore raw materials.
He still used a copper ingot and forged a spearhead.
A twenty-centimeter spearhead, that was about as long as a dagger. It has a hollow bottom where the staff could be mounted.
Ye Jun used the tool transmogrified by the construction hammer to polish a long and a short stick so that the staff would fit in the hole.
In this way, a spear was completed.
This way not only were materials conserved, but it was also matched with the existing player base as the current players were incapable of handling a full metal spear yet.
The wooden-staff spear was easy and convenient to use. It could even be used as a javelin to hurl and thrust.
Two birds with one stone!
It was perfect!
'How much should I charge?'
The bronze spear that Ye Jun had purchased at the in-game store cost 2000 copper coins, so selling this two-in-one multi-functional spear for 1500 copper coins probably wasn't that expensive!
"Freshly forged multi-functional bronze spear, with a free detachable handle, one long and one short, can be used as a javelin long-range attack and as a spear for close combat, for only 1500 copper coins. First come first serve!"
As soon as the trading post was put up, someone immediately sent a message.
"Player (Wilderness Mode) Zhuang Xiaoqiang has sent a friend request! Message note: I'm the player who just bought your bronze dagger!"
'Oh?'
Ye Jun raised an eyebrow.
'Could he be regretting?'
Ye Jun did not accept the friend request immediately and just replied, "Once sold, no returns!"
"I'm not returning it! I want to buy your bronze spear!"
'After spending 800 bronze coins, you still have money?'
'A big customer!'
Ye Jun immediately accepted the friend request!
"Brother Ye, you're not very generous! If you had taken out this bronze spear earlier, I wouldn't have had to buy the bronze dagger."
A disgruntled voice came out. In the picture, a man of short stature, but with sharp eyes and a chiseled face, wearing a camouflage uniform appeared.
"I just forged this," Ye Jun didn't budge. Returning it was impossible anyway. If the other party had to return it, he would blacklist him.
Zhuang Xiaoqiang was dissatisfied. "Brother Ye, I'm saying that this spear of yours only has a copper spearhead. I bet the material used is just about the same as your dagger, but with just two more wooden sticks, the price nearly doubled. Can it be cheaper?"
This was a buyer who didn't know how to bargain.
'Once you've asked if you can get it for cheaper…'
'It definitely could not be done!'
Ye Jun said with great certainty, "A spearhead is much harder to forge than the dagger. It took quite a lot of time to forge it. Besides, the wooden stick I polished is built with a construction hammer. It is quite durable so it is more suitable than ordinary wooden sticks. It is also easy to disassemble and install. You are also an advanced player so you surely know how important a smooth weapon is in the wilderness. If you encounter danger and drop the wooden stick of the spear at a critical moment, wouldn't that be the end?"
The corners of Zhuang Xiaoqiang's mouth twitched a little.
'It took you a long while to grind a stick? Hell no, you sold the dagger and then forged the spear in less than an hour—one hour, two sticks for 700 more coins, what a f*cking crook!'
However…
The bargaining power was in Ye Jun's hands, so even if Zhuang Xiaoqiang was reluctant, he had to pay the money.
"1500 copper coins. I'll buy it, but you'll be responsible for repairing the wooden stick when it breaks!"
"No problem! Good after-sales service is the basics when doing business." Ye Jun agreed readily. A few wooden sticks were only worth a small amount of money.
The deal was done!
Ye Jun's heart was full of joy.
Two sticks for seven hundred copper coins!
Technology is wealth! The ancients were true to their word.
No!
Monopoly is wealth—he was currently the only forger in the world!

She was running out of breath, but that didn't matter, all that mattered was getting away from him and proving him wrong. Branches scraped her face and her arms, her body burning hot; but cold from her sweat as the wind blew over her skin. Her pants soaked from running through the streams, her shirt ripped to shreds around her stomach from very low hanging branches. Her hair, a tumbling fiery mess of tangles, and waves slipping through the ponytail she had quickly fastened trying to tame her wild hair. All of a sudden a giant gust of wind flew past her nearly lifting her off the ground and throwing her into a tree. Where in the world did that wind come from? She thought, but she kept running like it had never happened. She jumped over a fallen log, ignoring the fact that she almost fell in the process. She zoomed past all the trees and sprinted over the roots coming out of the ground. She rounded another tree coming to a sudden halt at seeing him standing there with a drink in his hand laughing and joking. She stood there wondering how in the world he could have beaten her here; He looked at her then, He looked, well, handsome, his faced was clean shaven and his button up shirt was all unbuttoned minus the three at the bottom. She could still visibly see his bronze chest and the top of his ripped-hard abs. He walked over to her and smiled, showing all of his teeth, the smile reaching his eyes. His eyes were dark and stormy, their color was usually a nice honey brown but now his eyes looked mid-night black. They looked like they could kill a man at eighty paces, but could sweep a woman off her feet at the same time.
