Gazing at Alfred's back, Lauren smiled bitterly.

She thought to herself, "What do you want me to do?

"I obviously almost died today, you saw it with your eyes. Why did you still say that I was pretending?

"It would be such a relief if I could just die today.

"Then I won't need to face him again."

Lauren just lay on the ground. She didn't have the strength to get up. The needle in her hand caused her to bleed. She tore off the tape and pulled the needle out.

The blood couldn't stop flowing down her back. The unsterilized cotton swab was pressed on the wound, but it kept bleeding.

When the nurse came to check the ward and saw Lauren whose clothes were stained red with blood, she was shocked.

"Are you trying to die? Why don't you just press the button?!"

Seeing Lauren bleeding like this, the nurse would definitely go to the nurse station to complain about her later.

"I can't reach it."

Lauren pointed to the button on the head of the bed. She didn't even have the strength to get up. How could she press the button?

"Do you mean I slandered you?"

The nurse took out her cell phone and planned to call the police. She was dreaming about reporting to the head nurse later to get the reward for this.

"My friend can pay for me."

Lauren's lips went pale with pain. She had already lost too much blood. The sutured wound must have been torn.

This may be God's punishment for her, punishing her for wishing that a man who didn't belong to her would fall in love with her.

He was so angry that he immediately went downstairs and drove back to the hospital.

Lauren was filled with anger.

She would rather die outside than stay in the same room with him.
