I Reincarnated As A Shinai Chapter 38

Wang Lin arrived at the destination where the group of unknown people was last seen. The other members of his group were also present and they all have a grave expression on their faces…
"Harris, what's the situation?"
"Leader Wang! So you're here already… Look at the traces they left…"
Harris was one of the finest scouts in the region and the youngest member of the Eight Thunder Claws. He quickly reported his findings and asked for the leader's opinion.
Wang Lin quickly checked the traces that he pointed out…
"T-this… Shouldn't we report this to Sir Orga and Sir Jerax?!"
Wang Lin exclaimed seeing the footprints that were left behind on the soil… There seem to be six adult men with huge stature who walked past here accompanied by other footsteps of some four-legged beast… The number of beasts wasn't few and based on their estimation, they should be around 15...
"It seems that you also recognize them…"
Harris muttered as soon as he saw the leader stunned at the discovery…
"Yes… These footprints can only be seen from Inferno Wolves…"
The Inferno Wolves were way stronger than the Phantom Wolves that they have killed before… As soon as they were born, they would have the strength of mid-grade Evil Beast and would triple their strength whenever the night approaches… They can even go use a Berserk State in some rare chances!
If the students were ambushed by these wolves at night, even the Arcanists protecting them would have some trouble…
"Inferno Wolves has a strong resistance to magic… Only your Magic Weapon has an effective means to kill them… What should we do, leader?"
Harris asked Wang Lin as the latter was already considering whether to give up the mission and allow Sir Orga to make a move instead of them…
Wang Lin shakes his head as he tried to assess the situation.

"We're still unsure whether this group that was together with the Inferno Wolves has an intention of disrupting the trial… We need to investigate further... Who knows? Maybe they're just passing by… Ugh…"
Even he wouldn't believe what he just said. Inferno Wolves were creatures that were difficult to tame and as a matter of fact, there shouldn't have been any Inferno Wolves in the Wailing Forest at all!
These wolves should be living near Mt. Galpo in the northern region of the country… They have never heard about the Inferno Wolves living in the southern region.
In case someone wanted to tame them, they must start training them from birth! It will be a difficult and expensive task and only one organization was known for doing this on a large scale…
It should be the Beast Tamers Organization from Erliente Dukedom!
They could only think of this organization that was capable of taming these powerful wolves. The dukedom was located at the far west of their kingdom and the border separating their territory was only a mountain range filled with wild beasts...
Their kingdom had a non-aggression pact with the dukedom but it doesn't mean that both countries stopped infiltrating their territories secretly.
"Let's not draw conclusions for now… What's their current destination?"
"They should be aiming to get out of the forest… I noticed that they have come from the inner region of the forest… They might have come from the other side… Anyway, I think that they'll meet one of the groups of the students if they continued their path…"
"Sigh~ There's no way to fight against them especially with their number… I'll try to talk to them…"
"What?! It's dangerous!"
"That's right… Let me do the talking instead, leader..."
"No… I have the quickest foot here… As long as I stay on the ground. I'm confident of escaping in case there were some problems."

The members tried to argue but Wang Lin had already decided…
"I'm the only one who had a "B-" Magic Weapon here… Stop it… Let me handle this… You guys must hide in case a problem occurs. Harris, I leave the task of spreading this information with the others... If possible, quickly inform Jerax in case a problem arises."
After some time, Wang Lin and the others followed the path that the other group had taken while the others were about 300 meters away from him and concealing their presence in every way possible. It was due to Inferno Wolves' sensitivity that could cover about 200 meters…
As soon as he saw their traces… Wang Lin slowly revealed his aura which alarmed the Inferno Wolves and the unidentified people…

"Eh? Why is he leaving alone?"
Diether noticed that the strongest student in his sister's team had left their resting area and went further inside the forest…
"Who knows? It seems that he considers the members of his team as a burden… He might be planning to hunt some beasts alone."
Reiji answered nonchalantly as he doesn't really care about the guy. What he wanted right now is an opportunity to finish the remaining missions he had.
'It seems that sister Aria's group was still planning to rest for a while. I'll just observe this man for a while…'
Diether thought for a moment as he secretly followed Alexander.
Since he was a wielder of the shinai, a wooden sword, he was quite interested in seeing other people's skill with their sword. It might give him some inspiration to better learn the techniques he wanted to master.
"Master… I can feel a beast approaching him silently underground…"
"He knows it as well… He looks strong and it seems like he wasn't new in these things… Don't worry."
Reiji noticed the calm demeanor of the young man even after facing an evil beast…
Bam!
A beast tried to swallow the student in one go but missed at the crucial moment!
"It's a three-eyed Viper! Like the one I've fought!"
Diether somehow felt excited seeing this…
"Master, do you know what rank of Arcana he has?"
"No… I need to touch his Arcana once before I can analyze it…"
"I see…"
"Well, you can try fighting him later if you want… I believe that you can escape with your skills anyway… or maybe he'll be too exhausted to chase you later…"
"Ugh… Nevermind that master… I'm only curious…"
In truth, Reiji had felt that the Arcana that the other guy was holding was above him in rank by several times…
After all, he was only a Common rank Arcana at the moment and he was still unaware of how to increase his rank… Anyway, that was not important at the moment… The most important thing was that he can still grow stronger and as long as he has the Skills Points, he'll be capable of doing a lot of things in the future.

'There's one Hunter following me… The Arcanists stayed at the resting area and guarding the others…'
As the young man was trying to find the exact location of the hunter that was tailing him. He noticed another presence near him… Luckily, he had been careful and activated one of his Magic Equipment that was capable of detecting nearby beasts…
'Oh? There's a beast hiding below… Nice timing…'
Alexander noticed the evil beast hiding underground… It must've felt that he was an easy prey considering his light steps and small frame.

A Nerd's Wet Dream Come True (Tossing an OC into Marvel)
John was an average man. At least that's what he tells himself at night. He lived in a rented apartment in the decent district, a well-paying job, and more student debt than he cared to think about being steadily paid off. Yet he was absolutely miserable. He spent his days living like a zombie, a slave in all but name to corporate. His only joy these days it seems was reading comics and writing fanfics. SI ones. Choke full of power fantasies and large harems. Yeah, even he had to admit he was a loser. His only redeeming feature seemed to be his photographic memory and the library's worth of comics and books he has read. Yet, when fate took pity on him and had John transported into the Marvel Universe, he was only all too happy to oblige. A second chance to make something of himself. Is he going to finally have the comfortable life he wanted? Will he laze away relying on his past life's knowledge or does he want more this time? Will his ambition and hard work lead to sweet fruits, or will it rot away in the darkness hiding beneath the colorful costumes of the hero's society? Now with crossovers! Be warned if you don't like to see OCs messing up the timeline or DC and other stuff showing up. I swear I'm not randomly adding stuff and there is a legitimate (as far as comic books and fanfics can be) plot reason why. (I'll be honest, I don't know "cannon" marvel really... I watched some movies and animated series as a kid, but I haven't picked up a comic in years. This is just some light-hearted and casual writing for fun. If there are any errors or something you think would be cool please let me know.) I'm also trying to have multiple main characters so that might be jarring for some people while I switch perspective. Sorry in advance, I'm new at this and idk what I'm doing, advice and feedback gladly welcomed!

War Games
One day, Sam and Xander wake up to find themselves in a different world. They find out that the place they were in is called Origin and they became Warlords. They then get set along to a different world, one that might not be able to handle the massive change that they bring with them. The goal of Sam and Xander is to establish themselves in their world before two years since that was when the War Games are taking place. Sam and Xander would be put against other warlords of a different world. As both of the armies clashed, one might lose everything while the other gets stronger. My goal is 6 chapters a week. The story will include kingdom-building, war, and military strategy. The story is a working progress so any feedback is appreciated. If you find an error, please point it out in the comments and I will correct it as soon as I can.
