I Reincarnated As A Shinai Chapter 73

Buzzzz…
An irritating sound of an insect can be heard and it was getting close to Reiji.
At this time, he wasn't doing anything as if there wasn't any insect coming closer.
He remains motionless at the top of the tallest tree within the Wailing Forest and this has been going on for a while now.
The insect getting close to him is similar to a bee and their hive was placed somewhere in the middle of the tall tree. It may have been curious seeing such an unfamiliar resident here on this tree.
Anyway, he glanced in the direction of the Farahn Village which he hadn't seen for quite some time now.
"This is really a boring mission…"
More than three weeks had passed since he left the village and he felt a bit lonely staying here.
The only good thing here was that he can roam freely without caring for anybody. He can just fly around the forest and practice his mobility… He misses his student a little bit since he was used to teaching him every morning and admire his progress daily…
Buzzzz….
The insect observing him decided to fly away after confirming that he wasn't any threat to their hive.
Reiji paid no mind since it has been a routine for several days. It seems that some members of the hive noticed him floating around from time to time and decided that someone would check on him every specific hour… It was very interesting.
Based on his observation, he was currently in the middle of this huge forest and it would be extremely rare for people to pass on this place. So he had to learn how the beasts coexist here in the forest and adapt to his surroundings… It was extremely beneficial to him since he could perfectly see a lot of beasts and learn about their natural behavior. Of course, it was also for the sake of his most recent mission.

"The view from the top is really breathtaking…" Reiji suddenly muttered as he appreciated the beauty of the dense canopy.
He selected this specific place to complete his Untouchable mission that would last for a month and he felt that it was really a good decision…
"Guide, how much time left?"
[ 5 days and 14 hours. ]
The guide didn't give him a completely detailed timeframe since it was not the first time that Diether asked for the remaining time. He already requested not to include the seconds if the time frame exceeds more than an hour. Surprisingly, the guide accepted this kind of request…
"A few more days…"
Reiji muttered softly as he decided to meditate instead. He felt that his mobility while floating became even better after his meditation…
Well, he was just copying Diether on how he connects to the Spiritual Energy…
Step… Step… Step…
Reiji was suddenly alarmed by the familiar sounds.
These footsteps don't seem to have come from beasts so he became alert…
"Humans? What are they doing here?" Reiji muttered as he became curious.
He was sure that they were not scouts of a merchant's caravan since they emit a different aura…
Several strong Evil Beasts were surrounding this area and it would be suicidal to stay in this kind of place unless they were confident with their strength.
Seeing that there were only three of them, Reiji felt that it wasn't that simple.
"Eh? Isn't that Orga?"
Reiji was confused.
"Are they on a mission?"
If a three-star hunter is needed to complete a mission, then it is definitely extremely difficult
It may even be a B-rank mission or higher…
Orga is together with two people. One of them was a young man with silver hair and the other is a middle-aged man… The man was wearing a familiar robe worn by Arcanists.

The young man wearing luxurious clothes looks feeble so Diether thought that it was some kind of escort mission from an important person.
He didn't think too much about them as they passed over him after a while.
"Rooaaarrr!!!"
After a couple of hours, Reiji heard a cry from a powerful Evil Beast… It came from the direction where Orga and his team went into…
Boom! Boom!
Several explosions and trees being downed came after…
Only after more than fifty trees were destroyed before it calmed down… However, Reiji can still feel the tension below… There were still fast movements and it's going in his direction very fast…
It was still a bit far but at this rate, they will pass through the tall tree easily.
Sure enough, after a few minutes, Reiji saw the three men running away as if they were being followed…
No, they really are being followed!
The one chasing them is an injured Armored Black Ape! There is a deep wound on its shoulder! This one is extremely different from the low-ranked Armored Bear since these Apes had learned how to use their Spiritual Energy!
Reiji observed it carefully and noticed that the ape's eye was black and its body's armor was similarly black…
"It means that it's a high-rank Evil Beast… It was definitely on a different level compared to the physically weak Imp that Diether has somehow defeated."
Reiji still remembers the book that Mapan has sold to his student. This ape was surely a mutated one and truly difficult to deal with.
"Hurry! Bring him to the old lady at Gentle Pixie!"
Orga shouted to the robed Arcanist. The silver-haired young man seems to be heavily injured and needed quick medical attention.
Reiji remembered that the Gentle Pixie was the only apothecary shop within the village as Diether has been there a few times so he was familiar…
"A chance…"
Reiji watched the battle closely and eyed the blood coming out from the wound of this strong beast…
He may have a chance to complete one of his missions!
