I Can Farm Attributes From Ghosts! Chapter 6

"System, can we discuss this? Can I level up next time?"
"Ding! Detected that the host has thoughts of giving up the mission. The system will deduct a month's lifespan as punishment. Do you decide to give up the mission?"
Three black lines appeared on Brian's forehead.
How unscrupulous!
In his previous life, the system's actions were known as binding actions. Only unscrupulous businessmen would use such methods.
It was the same as a person pointing a gun at your head and smiling as he said, "Hello, sir. This is a democratic robbery. It doesn't matter if you give us money or not." He smiled and pulled the trigger lock.
"Fine, I choose to continue completing the quest."
Brian clicked the confirmation button unwillingly.
Depressed, he exited the system interface. The joy of completing the mission faded a little.
Only then did he notice the movements in the car.
After he got into the car, he felt someone staring at him. Perhaps because he did not do anything after getting into the car, the feeling disappeared after a while.
Jesse and the others were not in the same car as him, so who was watching him?
Confused, Brian tried to find the answer through his sense of smell and hearing.
The surroundings were very quiet, which meant that there were not many people around.
The car was still emitting a faint rose fragrance that lingered and smelled especially good.
Based on Brian's experience as a bachelor, there was definitely a woman in the car.
Speaking of women, a figure in high heels came into Brian's mind.
…
The car drove for about ten minutes before gradually slowing down.
Just then, Brian regained his sight.
She looked around and saw a woman in the car.
At this moment, there were only three people in the car. Other than him and the woman sitting in the back seat, there was a driver who was driving with his head lowered.

"Hey! I'm Celia!"
"Tell the other members that there was an accident during the mission broadcast tonight. The bet has been canceled."
The beautiful woman looked down at her watch.
"Right, let the other members leave first. I'll be there in ten minutes. Clear them out in ten minutes. Don't let them affect my sleep quality…"
Seeing that the beautiful woman was on the phone, Brian did not say anything but secretly sized her up.
When a man admired a woman, he would naturally admire her from the bottom to the top, from the outside to the inside. It was a repetitive cycle.
Brian had read all kinds of books in his previous life before coming to a conclusion.
Yes! Her voice was very pleasant to the ear. There was a hint of charm in her coldness.
A beautiful person with a sweet voice should be referring to this woman in front of him.
Following her gaze, a pair of seven to eight centimeters red high heels was extremely eye-catching, followed by a pair of long and charming legs. Although she could not see the mountains while sitting in the car, her snow-white robe could not hide her impressive figure. One could vaguely see a fatal temptation…
She was truly a stunning beauty.
After hanging up, Celia also noticed a burning gaze.
That gaze was brazenly roaming around his body, as if it wanted to see through every inch of his skin.
Her expression immediately turned cold.
"How is it? Am I beautiful?"
"Beautiful, simply too beautiful."
Brian realized something was wrong as soon as he answered.
He suddenly raised his head and met a pair of murderous eyes.
Celia stared straight at him, her whole body radiating a cold aura.
Brian, who had never dealt with women before, had never seen anything like it. He stared blankly at the perfect face.
There was an awkward silence in the car. Brian would have jumped out of the car if the car hadn't been traveling so fast.

His mind was racing.
In a few seconds, this woman would change her opinion of him.
"Where are we? Why aren't the lights on?"
"Oh! My eyes! Why can't I see? I didn't see anything."
Looking at his exaggerated acting skills, a smile appeared on Celia's cold face.
In the end, she could not help but burst out laughing.
Brian was tactful enough to pretend he had not heard her. He was still playing his part.
"Mr. Brian, you're really an interesting person. Even your excuse for peeking is so unique!"
Brian stopped pretending and extended his right hand like a gentleman.
"If you're willing to get to know me better, you'll realize that I'm actually more interesting than I look. How about it? Are you interested in making friends?"
Celia's nose wrinkled, but she held out her hand.
"Let's get to know each other officially, Celia."
"My name is Handsome Brian. You can call me Handsome or Handsome Brian."
Seeing the stiff expression on Celia's face, Brian reluctantly let go.
"Oh! I'm sorry, beautiful lady. You're the only woman I've ever met who made me lose my composure. Your beauty made me unable to control myself. I apologize for my actions."
Women were really peculiar creatures. No matter their age, they liked to hear compliments from others. Although Celia did not like Brian's earlier actions, she could not help but feel pleased to hear his unabashed praise.
"You're opening your mouth like a piano in a band, Mr. Brian."
"Are you complimenting me?"
"You can think that way, Mr. Brian."
After chatting for a while, the two gradually became familiar with each other.
Perhaps it was because it was a little stuffy in the car, Celia opened the window and asked curiously.
"Sir Brian! I heard from Jesse that you encountered a supernatural incident tonight. Can you tell me more about it?"
When Celia rushed over, she happened to run into Jesse and the others. She had roughly learned about the situation from them, but she felt that perhaps they were too old and saw wrongly. Therefore, she wanted to ask Brian, the person involved, what he said.
Brian stopped laughing when he heard the question.
"Someone should have died in the school building this time. There are indeed ghosts inside. Oh, that's the supernatural incident you mentioned…"
In this way, Brian told half-truths about what had happened. Of course, he did not tell anyone about the system. He only mentined that the mirror ghost had been touched by him in the end, so it did not hurt him.
Brian had his own ideas about these things. According to the game settings of humans and ghosts, after the magically rich era, all kinds of demons and ghosts would appear. He was giving these people a warning beforehand.
As it developed to the later stages, humans could only stay in a small realm and struggle for survival. He did not want the tragedy in the game to become reality.
He knew that this woman in front of him was not simple. Perhaps if these things were spread through her, more people would know and face the impending disaster.
After listening to Brian's story, Celia took a long time to recover.
She lowered her voice.
"Are these ghosts bleeding from their seven orifices, pale-faced and long-haired?"
Celia slowly turned around. Bright red spread down from her facial features and the wind blew in through the opened window. She was dressed in a long white robe and her pale face and long hair fluttered in the wind.
She looked back and smiled sweetly.
Oh my god, that was even more terrifying than an evil spirit.
Brian felt both angry and amused.

Child of the Ancients: An Apocalypse LitRPG
It all started in the middle of Dante's nap. He wanted to sleep his life away, but the system denied his request. Instead, it began to transform the Earth, integrating it into the multiverse by granting everyone stats and skills. He was talented, or so the system thought. And that meant he needed to be challenged. After being sent into a deadly cavern, Dante strives for the future he's always desired. But when he learns about the secrets hidden within him, he's shaken to his very core. He wishes for the nightmare to end until something goes wrong. [The world will end in one year.] Instead of everyone receiving a relatively gentle tutorial, the people of Earth are deemed redundant. Dante makes it his goal to save as many people as he can before the world ends, but with billions of lives at stake, he might have to turn into a monster before he can become a hero. Planned updates (2500+ words): M/W/F. 12pm AEST/ 9am EST. M-F during Writeathon. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Author's Note: All system apocalypse novels seem to jump straight over the apocalypse itself, which I find very sad. I don't want this to turn into a typical fantasy novel in about ten chapters. Instead, I hope to explore the destruction of society and how things would look if superpowers suddenly appeared in the real world. Before the real apocalypse happens, of course. There will be base building, and likely romance once things settle down. Also dragons, because they are awesome :)
