I Can Farm Attributes From Ghosts! Chapter 20

Today, the castle welcomed two rare guests.
Selina and Old Bu were his half-sister and his father in name!
At this moment, Old Bu and Selina were sizing up Brian as if they were looking at something rare.
"Cough, cough! Although handsome Brian is very charming, you don't have to make such a fuss!"
Brian coughed awkwardly at their stares.
On the way there, he had already thought of the reason why the two of them had come. It was probably because of that live stream.
Now, he had become half a public figure in Gro City. When he left school, a few fanatical fans chased after him to take photos. If he had not run so fast, his pants would have been ripped off.
He pulled them to the sofa and sat down.
Brian explained the whole story, confirming the existence of the water ghosts and the news that more demons would appear soon.
He did not say much about the System. He only vaguely mentioned that he had the ability to deal with demons and ghosts. He told them to be careful and to call him immediately if they encountered anything supernatural.
After hearing Brian's explanation, both of them fell silent.
Based on what Brian had said, they would have to be really careful from now on.
Most people would find it hard to accept such an unbelievable thing, but Old Bu and Selina had been through a lot, so they were able to digest it quickly.
There was a moment of silence.
Old Bu, who was drinking alcohol, nodded at Selina.
Selina said slowly.
"The old man and I have already asked someone to settle the issue with the officials. We will also try our best to publicize some of the information on the internet. As for the ghost matter that you mentioned…"
After a few seconds of silence, Selina said angrily, "You can do whatever you want. Call me if you need anything. I have some connections in the government department."

The current situation had already exceeded their expectations. They could not interfere even if they wanted to. They could only support them to the best of their abilities.
Unconditional support was the greatest sacrifice!
Brian, who had always been alone in his previous life, was moved. It was also the first time he felt what family was like.
…
"No matter what, whether you want to catch ghosts or save people, old man and I only have one request. We need to ensure our safety before doing these things."
"No problem, I'll complete the mission!" Brian smiled and nodded.
The two of them had come here mainly to find out what had happened. Now that they knew what had happened, and they could tell that Brian had his own thoughts, the two of them could not say anything else.
Selina picked up her backpack and left.
"That's all then! If there's nothing else, I'll take my leave first."
"Hehe! Precious son of mine, I'm leaving too. Remember to look for me if you can solve the problem with money. Our family doesn't lack money!"
According to Old Bu's famous saying, anything that could be solved with money was not a problem.
Brian let out a slow breath as he escorted them out the front door.
"Hehe! It feels good to have someone supporting you."
After the series of events that happened today, Brian had thought things through!
If he continued to delay like this, it would definitely not work. He had to make up his mind, because he did not have much time left.
Brian decisively took out his phone.
Beep beep beep!
"Hello, hello! This is the office of the Bluefields College. I am happy to serve you!"
"Hello! I'm a freshman, Brian. Please help me with the withdrawal procedures…"
Yes, after much consideration, he finally decided to drop out of school. As a young man who had transmigrated from Blue Planet, he had already learned many theories. There was no point in staying any longer. He might as well use his time to do something meaningful!

Blufields College's staff was efficient and soon they had all the necessary paperwork.
With a polite goodbye, Brian pocketed his phone with relief.
It was over! The beautiful university life that had yet to begin ended just like that!
However, he felt that it was a pity, but he did not feel that it was a pity, because there was already something that he needed to do more.
With a thought, Brian entered the ghost realm.
Brian first greeted the Mirror Ghost Lamborghini, then looked at the water ghosts in the dungeon. Seeing that they were all fine, Brian walked to his exclusive castle in the realm.
During this period of time, Brian had been in the ghost realm, constantly familiarizing himself with the use and function of the system.
When he reappeared in the real world, it was already a few days later.
After knowing that he had quit school, Jesse had come to look for him a few times. However, when he saw that there was no one in the castle, he thought that he had moved away. Gradually, he rarely came here anymore.
It was dusk. Brian had dinner.
An uninvited guest barged into the castle.
The black figure walked over slowly. Even though he had used all his strength to make a sound, it was still barely audible. He could only cling onto the castle's door and walk forward.
"Help!"
Bright red bloody handprints appeared on the walls that he passed by one by one. The red blood trickled down the walls and eventually formed red lines on the ground.
"Help! Mr. Brian… Mr. Brian… Save Miss!"
Hearing movement outside the front door, Brian frowned and pressed the switch.
As the heavy door slowly opened, the first thing that came into view was a face full of blood. The person who came was a man who did not look that old. His clothes had already been torn to shreds and stained with blood, but his face carried a resolute and iron-blooded aura.
It was hard enough to identify him by his attire, but Brian detected something in his sharp eyes.
This person's kung fu was not weak, but how could he be so seriously injured?
One should not have the heart to harm others, but one should have the heart to guard against others!
Brian did not immediately help. Instead, he immediately called the ambulance.
An astonishingly bright red line of blood spread from the gate to the castle.
He lowered his head to take a look.
They saw a man covered in blood struggling to crawl towards Brian's feet while mumbling something indistinctly!
"Mr… Mr Brian, Miss Celia is in danger. Please save her…"
Brian's bright eyes narrowed.
…
Ten minutes later!
A loud and familiar voice came from afar.
Brian signaled for the ambulance to enter the castle.
But now was not the time for him to relax. Now that the ambulance was here, he had to leave quickly.
"Sir, we need you to go to the hospital with the car. Hey, hey, hey! Where are you going, Sir?"
There was a rule for ambulances to have relatives and cars during the rescue process to prevent any accidents from happening.
But Brian had no time to explain. He took out a black document from the unconscious man and threw it on the stretcher!
"This is his identification. You can contact the officials to handle it!"
A car arrived and Brian shot out the front door like an arrow.
"What the f*ck! His family is injured and he still wants to race. Rich people really treat human lives as a joke!"
As they watched the car disappear into the night, the nurses cast looks of disdain at it.

Path of Righteousness
What do you desire? What are you afraid of? You run away from one, pursuing the other. Is that all you are? Conquer your fears. Dig to the bottom and confirm, what you really want... ...For you cannot escape suffering and death. You only have a little time. Use it wisely. Uru, a young boy with no talent for magic or fighting, sets out on a quest to become an avatar of order, the physical embodiment of righteousness, in a distant future, where control of origin energy allows people to defy physics and manipulate causality. Mocked by fate and broken by impossible dreams, all that's left is to stand in defiance to cruel existence. Because there is a Truth out there, somewhere. Singular, transcendent, eternal. What would you sacrifice for it? *** This is a fantastic sci-fi epic. It's going to blend both western and eastern traditional fantasy tropes – like might & magic and cultivation – with rational sci-fi grounded fully in reality, to produce a purely fictional fairy tale. I'd like to deliver something light-hearted and yet wholly serious. An uplifting adventure exploring the unfathomable reaches of humanity, free of indecency, with a healthy dose of humorous banter, legendary beings, and most importantly – lots of exciting, firework-filled mayhem! I've tried reading many web novels, but there's a fundamental problem with them – the eastern ones are annoyingly repetitive, superficial and morally destitute, while western ones are often dark, convoluted and profane. There's only so much one can do to filter out the bad and try to fill in the gaps with their own imagination. It's one thing to eat tasty fast food, but if it's moldy and filled with toxins, then it's not only poisonous, but also disgusting. The appreciation of beauty and higher values is disappearing at an alarming rate. Although there are throngs of talented people out there, none of them are creating what I want to witness – an inspiring battle against impossible odds, ending in absolute victory. A triumph of the spirit so overwhelming, it crushes the spectator into his seat and takes his breath away. I'm looking for a real paragon, so now I'd like to try conceiving one. *** The MC's name comes from Tolkien's Elven dictionary in Silmarillion, 'Uru' meaning 'Fire', and 'Dagnir an Uruloki' meaning 'Slayer of Dragons'. *** Note: I'm neither a native speaker, nor an aficionado of literature – I've never written anything before, and despite proficient English my literary prowess is abysmal. It therefore takes me a painful amount of effort to polish the chapters and bring them up to par. Last year I wrote and posted some on FictionPress, but I stopped since it wasn't going anywhere. The appalling amount of filth and mediocrity being peddled in all the media nowadays – a result of no conspiracy to manipulate the masses, but plain supply and demand – is no longer just the triumph of form over substance, but most worryingly corruption of the latter. Who wants to read about ideals anymore? And yet, masses flock together to gobble up perversion and depravity. That being said, I can't rule out pitiful exposure as the culprit to my failure, so I am now once again trying to increase it here, possibly for the last time. If there are still human beings present, hungry or in need of a detox after eating too much garbage, make yourselves heard, so I can see a reason to continue the story. Otherwise it's pointless – I'm not going to make fodder for the masses, and I'm most certainly not going to throw pearls before swine. I'll simply stop writing altogether.

Path of the Stonebreaker
Femira spent her life stealing scraps and looting corpses just to survive another day. When she stumbles upon the chance to steal another's identity, she thinks she's found the ticket to an easy life. But she soon finds the glamour of the runewielder's hall hides as much peril as the bloodslick streets. Can she steal the greatest prize of all, the knowledge to reshape the earth, and make it out alive? Abandoned by his abusive father at the far reaches of the world, Daegan may not have the powers of his ancestors but he refuses to die in banishment. Will he make it back home in time to prevent a brewing war? ------------------- This is a gritty drama-driven, rambling tale that presents mysteries early on that the characters work to unravel throughout the story. It swings between action, drama, and sometimes some darker comedy. Warning: A whole lot of profanity, alcohol, drugs, implied violence, actual violence and mega-violence—the kind that involves knives sliding into eye sockets and brains spilling onto floors—the usual stuff, scenes of intimacy, mercenaries, pirates, lots of moral ambiguity, including a wizard that likes to make tea with the heat sucked from his victim's bodies and a heap of world-ending monsters ready to eat people. _______________ Expectations: Updates every Monday and Thursday. Chapters will be between 2,000 and 5,000 words. I'm Irish and write in "Irish English" which is to say that I don't use much of the letter "z"

An Extra-Ordinary Story about Ordinary People
In a different world, a different reality, where ordinary people occasionaly have extra-ordinary powers for no particular reason, we follow a number of characters, trying their best to live in this strange yet normal world. We have our first character, a currently nameless but sentinent creature who happened to find himself in the body of a strange fungus after an unknown incident that robbed him of not only his former body but of his memory, as well. Secondly, we follow Smith, a high-standing man who doesn't even need to explain which Smith he is, on top of the world, yet human enough to meet said fungus. And thirdly, we have another nameless character, who is burdened by the ability to summon things that he doesn't want. A charming gang, who will (most likely) meet at some point. --- All and all, it's a twist on the common super-hero world, where all super-heroes have somehow dissappeared, but not the possibility for new ones. The series that feature the mushroom-dude are the 123 ones, the stories that feature Smith are the ABC ones, and the ones that feature our newest character, the summoner-dude, are the abc ones. Neat, huh? Also, just a word of warning? The 123 ones are kind wierd, and you can skip the first few chapters and go straight to the ABC ones without missing too much. But I'd rather you didn't, since i really enjoyed writing them. In ABC and abc, the format changes to a more typical form, with proper grammar and stuff. So if you dont like the 123, I'd love it if you gave the ABC a chance :^) Anyhow, I hope you enjoy it!
