I Can Farm Attributes From Ghosts! Chapter 40

In an armed police hospital in Gro City.
After leaving the villa, the Special Department sent Ross to the hospital for treatment.
Fortunately, there were no major problems. After taking the Recovery Potion, Ross lay on the bed and slept deeply.
The three of them were placed in a special care unit.
Apart from Ross, who was lying unconscious on the bed, the other two team members looked bitter.
Soli was stunned for a few seconds before he slowly sighed.
"F*ck, we've really suffered a huge loss this time. Where did this Grade C ghost come from? We really didn't get five million yuan and even got injured!"
"Fortunately, I've already reported this matter to the department through the phone. The higher-ups will send someone down to handle it soon."
Listening to Soli muttering to himself, the other team member, Jack, seemed to have thought of something.
"Hey! Soli, do you think Brian can get rid of that ghost? If he really got rid of that thing, wouldn't we be reporting military intelligence?"
Hearing this, Soli's expression suddenly changed.
The department had a rule that if one lied or reported wrongly, they would be locked up in detention for ten days!
Not a single department member was willing to have anything to do with the detention room.
"I don't think so. Even Captain Ross—"
Halfway through, Soli did not finish his sentence.
The young man named Brian left a deep impression on him. Originally, they had come to confirm the water ghost incident, but they had met up with him on a civil case midway. If he had not suddenly appeared, they would have been trapped in the villa together with Ross. Perhaps they would have become a corpse.
"But the information has already been reported. We don't know what's going on in the villa."
"Shall we go back again?"
"Return, my ass! If that female ghost is still around, we won't be able to come back this time."

"Then what should we do? We can't just sit back and do nothing!"
Soli's face was pale and even his voice carried a trace of anxiety.
The two looked at each other in silence for quite a while.
It was only when a deep voice sounded that the person on the bed behind her opened her eyes.
"I feel that Brian is not simple. The female ghost is definitely not his match. You don't have to worry anymore!"
Eh?
Upon hearing this familiar voice, the duo was delighted.
"Boss Ross, when did you wake up? Hehe! I told you Boss would be fine!"
"It's fine, who was complaining to me just now!" Soli rolled his eyes at the other team member.
Seeing Ross struggling to get up, the two quickly shook the bed up.
"Boss, how are you?"
"Scram. What can happen to me? I'll be fine again in two days!"
The two team members smiled apologetically and sat down at Ross's signal.
"Soli, where's my cell phone!?"
When they first received the mission, they all had the same thought. They felt that Brian was just a broadcaster who was a gimmick.
Later on, after many forces appeared to quell the influence of the water ghost incident, they further confirmed the authenticity of the matter.
If it were not for the department's usual practice, they would not have come to a third-tier city like Gro City, and today's incident would not have happened.
Fortunately, they came and discovered something more interesting.
Today in his semi-conscious state, Ross clearly felt a burning energy. Brian was definitely not as simple as he seemed.
His intuition told him that Brian was definitely a Grade C and this was a conservative estimate.
Ross thought for a moment and finally took the phone and dialed the first number in his contact list!
Beep beep beep!
"Hey! I'm Captain Ross from Team 108. I have an important report…"

…
In the blink of an eye, several days had already passed!
After dealing with the villa incident, the castle was quiet for a few days.
She waved her hand and the car window blocked her view!
After the black cars left, Brian expressionlessly looked away from the windows of the castle!
All good things must come to an end!
Unlike herself, Celia was still a student at the Bluefields College. It had been days since she had reported to the college and she was finally leaving today.
"What's wrong? Can't bear to part with a beauty like Celia?"
A beautiful figure appeared behind him.
Before she could see him, a strange fragrance entered her nose.
"Hehe! The lady in high heels has studies. She's just here to experience life."
"Besides, don't I have great beauty like you! Haha!" Brian smiled.
The moment he turned around, he was stunned.
Morgana looked completely different from her usual self.
She had long removed her simple black robe and was wearing a light blue icy-snow dress. She was wearing a pair of exquisite light blue high heels and her hair was slightly loose. She looked cold and elegant.
She did not know if it was an illusion, but there seemed to be a hint of strangeness in those cold eyes.
Morgana said nothing more.
Instead, she picked up a corner of the long dress and spun around on the spot. The icy-snow dress danced with her movements,
just like a snow fairy that had fallen into the mortal world.
"How is it? Do I look good in this?"
Brian nodded, obviously recovered.
"Oh! This outfit suits you very well. There's no doubt about it. It's very beautiful, my dear Madam Morgana!"
Brian looked calm but he was muttering deep inside.
He wondered what had happened to Morgana today.
Ever since the crematorium, she had never put down her cloak. Today, she took the initiative to change into a beautiful long dress!
Could it be that she had thought it through and decided to start from scratch?
After all, it had been so long. Perhaps she had already thought things through.
What happened in the past was just a fleeting memory. There was no telling when things would change in life. It was indeed not worth it to guard the memories of the past.
That was all Brian could come up with.
It was good that he had thought things through. He could also complete his mission.
Although Morgana had always obeyed him, there was one exception—becoming a member of the ghost realm.
In her words, her mission was to wait for someone. She was worried that she would not be able to come out after entering the space.
Despite everything Brian had told her, the matter had been put on hold until now.
Now, her change might be Brian's chance!
"Morgana, I'll take you to an interesting place!"
"You mean that 'hell'?"
Hell?
Brian teased, "Oh no, it's called the world of handsome Brian. At least it's a paradise for you, madam."
'Heaven,' Morgana muttered!
Brian looked hard out the window and closed the castle door. He smiled and took Morgana's small hand.
"Are you ready?"
Morgana nodded gently.
Before they could feel the strange touch of the ice and fire, they disappeared from this world in the blink of an eye!
The first thing he saw was a blue sky and white clouds. Green trees surrounded them and the scenery was beautiful.
Tall buildings stood tall and immortal air drifted about. Everything seemed like a paradise on earth.
"Hey! Dear Madam Morgana, welcome to the world of handsome Brian!"

A loose thread
The goddess picked him up. He tried to struggle free, but her grip only tightened. Eventually her thumb caught his head, pulling it backwards. He stared helplessly as she brought her free hand closer, revealing a small vial in her massive hand. She pressed it to his lips, and he felt the contents flow into him. He tried not to drink it, but his body would not listen. Despite his revulsion, his body ignored him by drinking deeply. "Drink and forget. I will give you everything you ever wanted. A loving family. A comfortable home. And then, " Her grip tightened, and forcing the air out his lungs. He coughed up the strange liquid and caused more to spill. “And then, you will pay for your defiance. On your twentieth birthday you will remember.” She pulled the vial away and turned him to look at her. “You will remember, just as everything you love is taken from you, right before your eyes…” Her voice trailed off and his world went dark. .... The above leads right into the story. The first chapter is a bit rough as the MC (a child at the time), hurts himself rather badly. I will try to include similar warnings on chapters as the story goes on, but I want to be up front that I may miss or forget things. Many of the tags are included so I can have flexibility writing the story. I am posting this largely to hold myself accountable to keep writing. Chapters will be short, but I am planning to post weekly. This is the first thing I have written (you've been warned). I am enjoying the story and I hope you will too. Please feel free to let me know what you think of the story as it progresses.
