"Miss, time to wake up…" Soft mutters were heard in the silent room.

Hearing the voice coming from her side, the little girl slowly opened her eyes and stared at the ceiling before she rose to sit on her bed.

Mrs. Jacinth smiled when she saw that her Miss had woken up and went to prepare warm water for her to wash her face.

On the bed, the little girl shook her head when she saw her maid scurrying into the bathroom and then looked down at her body which was still under the sheets.

'That was exactly what I needed.' Yvonne groaned while stretching her tiny limbs.

The nap had done wonders for her tired body which she had recovered by most parts now.

As per her orders, Mrs. Jacinth had come to wake her up a couple of hours before evening tea time.

Since her Miss had a couple of tasks to complete, the maid did not delay as she returned to the little girl's room to wake her up.

Yvonne was brought warm water to freshen and she completed her daily routine without any qualms.

She then changed into a fresh pair of clothes as she sat before the mirror and had her maid comb her hair.

While all of this was taking place, the little girl had absolutely no clue that she had visitors while she was deep asleep.

If she had even the slightest clue that someone was watching her while she slept and that someone was none other than the blue bird she disliked then she would only have one thing to say.

'Looks like even gods have voyeuristic habits!' She would have sneered at the bird and mocked him without hesitation.

However, neither was she aware of his sneaky arrival and exit nor did she know the reason why he had returned to this world.

Therefore, she jumped off her seat once she was ready and headed towards the door.

'Time to check on Demon and feed him.' The little girl recalled her itinerary as she ventured outside her room once again.

Yvonne walked through the silent corridors with her maid after exiting her room.

They found Butler Limo waiting for her at the entrance of the Mansion as though he knew that she would leave at this time.

'Are you stalking me?' Yvonne raised her brows at the man as he bowed at her and gestured for her to lead the way.

Unlike what she had been assuming, Butler Limo had noticed when Mrs. Jacinth had returned from her break and stood in wait for them as he knew that the young miss would be arriving soon enough.

Therefore, while the maid went to wake the Miss, he had the kitchen staff prepare the horse's food.

Yvonne glanced at the large container he was holding and inferred that it was meant for the pet she was about to visit.

"Shall we?" He inquired which received a nod from the little girl.

Mrs. Jacinth did not follow them but watched the Miss and Butler head towards the stables.

'I hope he is alright.' The little girl prayed as they walked ahead.

At the stable, Demon's eyes were bright and lively as he glanced out of the window.

By now, the bird who had spoken to him and his disciple had long disappeared from this world.

Demon could feel that the bird who had appeared was not a simple bird but a celestial being who deserved his respect and reverence.

Even without his volition, his body had moved as he bowed low to the God who had made an appearance before him.

Though now the God had taken his leave and vanished into thin air, the task left to him still remained vivid in his ears.

"Since that brat has been fated to you, you must protect her at all times." The God's stern words echoed in Demon's ears.

Demon's mind was filled with those words which he had vowed to the God, after which the two birds had left the stable.

Sensing something while he was in his thoughts, the horse raised his head and turned in the direction of the familiar scent that had wafted into his nose.

Without a second's delay, he turned and headed for the door where he stood only to find that his Master was walking in his direction.

Yvonne's smile brightened and her feet hastened when she noticed that her pet was standing at the entrance of the stable.

Within a few steps, she reached the horse and raised her hand to pat his head.

Demon did not reject her touch, instead, he lowered his head and neighed repeatedly in satisfaction at the loving gesture that his Master had shown to him.

Butler Limo smiled at this precious scene and stepped ahead which made the horse and his Master enter the stable.

"How are you feeling now?" Yvonne inquired to her beast who nodded his head in eager answer.

The little girl chuckled at his response and glanced at the Butler who was filling the horse's trough with the food he had brought over.

"Papa said that you were weak and needed rest so do not strain yourself. Take all the time you want to recover." She revealed while leading him to the food that had been served.

Patting his head, she gestured towards the trough and the sensible beast went forward to eat from it.

'He seems to have improved a lot after his nap.' Yvonne nodded in approval at his quick recovery.

But at the same time she knew that even if he appeared to be fine, she would still wait for longer before taking him out on a ride again.

'And no more using his powers without restraint!' She sneered at herself for exhausting him due to her lack of knowledge.

However, thinking of the reason for her ignorance, she gritted her teeth in anger.

'Well, Captain Desmo is to be blamed here as much as I am!' She scoffed but pressed her animosity down as there were people around her.

Thinking of something, Yvonne turned her head and looked up to the Butler who stood beside her.

"What about the other etchers?" She inquired about the two other beasts who were present in the estate at this moment.

Butler Limo understood what she was trying to say as Precious and Fryght, the two other etchers were also somewhere on the grounds of the estate.

"Master and the Captain have fed their etchers, Young Miss." He informed her with a nod.

Rutherford and Desmo were responsible for the upbringing of their etchers and they would always take care of their needs no matter where they were.

This information brought out a nod from the little girl who turned her eyes to her etcher and watched him eat the meal with gusto.

'Now that we are alone, we can discuss certain matters without worrying about people eavesdropping on our conversation.' She realized and walked towards the chair at the other end of the stable and took her seat.

Butler Limo followed her and stood before her, waiting for what her orders might be.

"Any report on the maid's behavior today?" She investigated the matter regarding the maid that had been on her radar for quite some time.

This question brought a youthful radiance on the old Butler's face as he nodded in excitement.

'What is he so happy about?' Yvonne wondered as she waited for him to report the matter to her.
