No one could guess about the plans that were materializing in a certain maid's mind.

No one, except for two people who were hoping on her covetous nature to take its form and manifest itself.

Only then would they be able to accumulate proper evidence against her, enough to kick her out of this Mansion once and for all.

"Miss, just as you had expected, she was eavesdropping on our conversation last night." Butler Limo exclaimed in excitement as he stared at the little girl.

It was already the next evening and they were at their usual secret meeting spot where they were sure that no one would disturb them or stumble upon the bizarre conversation these two were engaging in.

'Of course, she would! You spoke while she was right there. Only a fool would miss such a chance.' Yvonne felt the need to roll her eyes but as she was in a pleasant mood, she decided against it.

Nodding at him, she displayed that she too was happy with this outcome.

Once they were sure that the maid knew about hers and her mother's itinerary for this weekend, she would surely come up with a plan to get closer to the Earl.

Yvonne was practically paving the way for her to make a move so she would be disappointed if the maid did not make use of this stellar opportunity to show her true colors.

'And then we can expose her to Mama!' She cheered that her brilliant plan to chase this maid away would come to fruition soon enough.

Looking up, she found that the old man had similar expressions of joy on his face as he was having the same thoughts as her.

'With Paula gone, there will be no one who would have wicked longings for Master!' He rejoiced at the thought of not having to see that woman dream of something out of her reach.

Yvonne stifled a chuckle when she noticed his elated face and decided that the happiest person when Paula would be kicked out was none other than the Butler of this Mansion.

Butler Limo snapped out of his thoughts when he observed that the little girl had risen from her seat.

"Continue to keep an eye on her and do as I had instructed." She reiterated her earlier words as she made her exit.

Her etcher neighed in farewell as he had already had his fair share of fun with her this morning along with Captain Desmo and Precious.

Therefore, he was not sulking when his Master began walking out from his stable.

The little girl left the horse and Butler back at the stable and made her way to the Mansion.

'Piano practice then homework followed by dinner.' She remembered her busy schedule and hastened her steps.

As she entered the house and passed through the corridors, she could notice that the maids and servants seemed chipper than usual.

'So the news has already spread among them, I see.' She chuckled at the enthusiastic servants who rushed to complete their tasks.

As per her assumption, the news of the Madam and Young Miss's itinerary for the weekend had already spread throughout the Mansion.

The servants were ecstatic as they had seen just how gloomy the Madam had become without seeing her son for so long.

Therefore, they had decided to work harder and complete their tasks ahead of time which might allow their Madam to meet their Young Master without worrying about the situation back in the Mansion.

Noticing their Miss passing by, they bowed to greet her and then carried on with the work on their hands.

Yvonne smiled at them and went her way as she too had work to do concerning her home assignments for both history and Piano lessons.

On the other hand of the estate was the servant quarters where a certain maid was taking her afternoon nap.

She was supposed to be with her Mistress right now but was commanded to take her break as the Master and Mistress desired to be left alone for a while.

Paula knew exactly why they needed that time alone which only infuriated her further.

Last night, when her Mistress had returned to the room after her soothing bath, she had already regained her composure.

In the presence of her Mistress, she behaved in the same docile manner which she was used to exhibiting at all times.

She assisted her Mistress in putting on her nightgown and even wiped her hair dry before combing through them in the same meticulous way she did each night.

This same attentive and caring behavior was the reason why Raylene often felt that the odd feelings that rose in her heart at times were mere figments of her imagination.

How could someone who took such good care of her have ulterior motives towards her?

Raylene was both confused and distressed that she might be doubting her loyal maid who was only paying attention to her and her husband to take better care of their needs.

However, the truth was something that needed to be revealed before her.

The whole truth that exposed the ugly green-eyed demon of envy that resided inside her maid's heart.

The same green-eyed demon that was now overwhelming Paula's mind with numerous thoughts.

Thoughts about how she could use this opportunity of her Mistress's travel plans to get closer to her Master.

But there was still a problem that she had to sort out before she could think about this.

'If Mistress is going outside the Estate then it is my duty to accompany her as her maid.' She recalled her responsibilities and groaned in exasperation.

However, she mulled over it and decided that her duties would have to be kept aside if she wished to make proper use of this opportunity.

'I am sure that Master will understand and forgive me for not accompanying her.' She placated her heart as she would be doing this for the two of them.

If she was able to gain his favor then she would not have to worry about her duties as a mere maid.

She turned over in bed and grinned like a fool, thinking of a future where she would be able to live a better life.

'A lavish one where the straws of the mattress aren't springing out.' She cursed the hard straw that had just pricked her butt when she had rolled over.

An opportunity to live the same life as the lady she had grown up with was the dream that she wished desperately to come true.

Now, she was receiving this chance that was being served on a golden platter so she would work hard to earn his favor and live the life of her dreams.

Therefore she concluded that all she had to do on that day was to figure out a way to not go along with her Mistress and stay back to accompany the Master instead.

'Master hasn't had the time to get to know me. I'm sure he will feel differently about me once he has a chance to be with me.' She decided that it was the circumstances that had been blocking their path to happiness all along.

Her delusional thoughts were filling her mind as she shut her eyes to take a nap and hoped to dream about the things that she wishes to see happening in real life as well.

With a short plan in her mind which she would certainly develop over the next few days, she fell into deep slumber soon after.

In her dreams which appeared in her unconscious state, she noticed that she was the one who stood next to the Master.

She was the Countess who had the power to rule over the household.

The two children in the Mansion also paid respect to her instead of giving her orders on what to do.

She was the one whom the Butler bowed down towards each morning to greet with proper etiquettes.

A smug smile appeared on her lips as these images began popping up in her mind.

Her dream was as far away from reality as her pure intentions she claimed to have for the Earl.

Paula desired for the same luxury that her Mistress had, she desired to have the unconditional love of the Earl and his endless doting.

She believed that her feelings for the man would be reciprocated if only she got the chance to take a step towards him.

Fate had now given her that chance in the form of the little girl's meddlings.

But could she be able to achieve what she desired for half her life or will she even lose the comfortable life she now had?

This was also something that the little girl and Butler yearned to know.
