Danger Zone Chapter 53

"Marcus, are you sure about this?"
A frantic Second generation Santoro mutters as he stares at the bewildered Natalie as they answer an emergency call from their other cousin who is living in America.
"I am sure of it. Bran is the one who told me about it. Can you ask Primo if he really visited Hong Kong before?"
Drax swallows thick saliva that is stuck on this throat as he looks at Natalie with confusion. Normally, reports like this are never extreme. But after hearing this from Marcus, Drax is now contemplating to whether tell Primo or not.
"This is a disaster! We don't have much time to plan! How the fuck did this happened?"
Marcus, on the other line, pulls the phone away from his ear and flinches by how mad Drax is. He had never seen his generation mad before.
But seeing how Drax reacts about this matter, Marcus knows that they are in big trouble.
"Did you know who snitches us?"
Marcus's line falls deaf as no answer came from the other line. Drax runs his hand to his disheveled hair as Natalie bites her nails in frustration.
Marcus inhales deeply before revealing who snitch them on Primo's whereabouts.
"Can you still remember that one person who dislikes Primo amongst all of his look alikes?"
Drax's mind suddenly stops and listens to what Marcus just said. Thinking about that now, Drax's mind goes straight to one person who hates Primo the most.
"That little shit! I will kill him when I see him!"
Marcus flinches once again by how mad Drax is. If the oldest Santoro living in the Philippine is this mad, what more will Primo do?
Marcus is sure that Primo will definitely torture the other Santoro even if Grandmama watch the whole thing.

It turns out that one of the Primo's look alikes accidentally reveals to someone that Primo might've gone in Hong Kong for a trip before. Learning about this fact, Grandmama immediately sets up a flight to Hong Kong to find Primo there.
She even brought every Primo look alikes with her to make sure that the real Primo is still not with them or pretending to be one of the look alikes.
It sounds funny but the plan actually works since none of them were brave enough to say that they are Primo. They could only nod and follows Grandmama wherever she goes.
"Where are you guys now?"
Marcus sighs and looks around the airport he is in before telling Drax about his condition.
"We are currently waiting here at the gates before boarding a flight to Hong Kong. The cousin who snitched us is here as well. Let's just hope that nothing will happen during our trip there."
Drax can only sigh and thanks Marcus for this information. He looks at Natalie, who contemplating her life as she grabs the pack of cigarettes on the coffee table and lights one.
"I thought you already stopped smoking?"
Drax sits beside Natalie as she blows the first puff of smoke coming from the cigarette butt. She scoffs at what Drax just said and looks away.
"I did. But it's not all worth it when you have a family like ours. It is too stressful not to smoke."
Drax releases a heavy sigh as he stands up from the couch and pours himself a glass of orange juice.
Natalie watches him think of what plan he should do to make Grandmama not come here in the Philippines or would make the old lady change her mind.
"You do know that there is nothing we can do anymore? The decision had already been made. If Grandmama finds out that you have been hiding Primo all of these years, your head will be served in a silver platter."

Drax sighs knowing that there is nothing he can do anymore. He just hopes that Primo will take it well and will not do anything drastic that will make all of them suffer in the end.
Drax stops smoking after his sister died of suicide. Since then, he lessens his habits of going out at night and meeting random women in the streets to have sex back in his condominium.
But looking at how relax Natalie is, he grabs the box of cigarette and takes one out before lighting it with all of his patience of rehabilitation before.
"All of that rehabilitation is gone because of this one problem."
Drax puffs out the smoke as he shakes his head and chuckles lowly.
"I just did that because I kept on blaming myself for the death of my sister. Moving on from that, I know that she won't mind if I smoke a little bit because of this problem."
Natalie only hums and continues to smoke hers. She knows that Drax is a responsible smoker and won't smoke everything from the box.
But she still hides it from him in case that he might change his mind and finishes everything that is on the box.
"I won't. I promise. I need my lungs prepared to answer Primo's interrogation once he finds out about this."
Natalie chuckles and stands up from the couch as she extinguished the flame on the ashtray. She fixes her hair as she looks at Drax with a smirk on her face.
"You know, you tell Daime and Primo to bring Aiden to the cinema while we prepare everything here."
Drax looks at her as he puts out the flames of his cigarette and smiles.
"Great idea. Let me just give them a call."
Natalie nods and goes to her office to open her computer and contacts everyone in her circle to share this information and brings her back with new ones.
Meanwhile, back in the JFK airport in America, Marcus is standing alongside their other cousins who is looking at his phone from time to time before as they wait for Grandmama to arrive from her flight from China.
"Marcus, did you tell Drax already?"
Marcus, who is distracted by the other passengers, flinches when he hears the sudden whispers of his cousin who is curious of what Drax's reaction.
"Yeah. He got mad."
That cousin grimaces as he pulls away from Marcus and starts contemplating his life. Marcus stares at the vast space in front of him and sighs.
"We are dead when Grandmama is here."
One of the older Santoro that looks like Primo in so many angles curses under his breath as he releases his frustration at their dead cousin, Aries.
"Fucking Aries! If you only he can keep his mouth shut! None of this would've happen!"
Marcus couldn't help but agree. After all, Primo is really not the reason why Grandmama will be coming to Hong Kong. She is just using Primo as a reason to remove suspicions over her.
"We all know that it is not Primo who she finds. It is that hidden gem that Matautia's have."
They all sigh and agree. Unknown with the fact of Aiden is that hidden gem, they awaits for the void to show up before plunging to their death on a mountain of uncertainty.
