Danger Zone Chapter 122

Aiden wakes up from his slumber and feels something beside him. He opens his eyes and looks around him when he sees nothing. He tries blinking his eyes but nothing changes in his surrounding.

He closes his eyes and presses them tightly before slowly opening them, hoping that this time it will change as if nothing happens. His vision is still blurry but he can see something else aside from nothingness from earlier.

He sees a child crouching down to the ground with his head down low. He tries to stand up but his body won't move. He looks beside him and notices the chains that are tightly suppressing his body.

Is he dreaming again?

He shakes his head and tries to call on the child but nothing comes out of his mouth. What is happening with him?

He tries to remember the last thing he is doing before sleeping. He remembers seeing Daime crying and thinking what it is about. He tries to think for a reason but he falls asleep while doing so.

He remembers feeling a hand on his head, fixing his unruly hair and whispering sweet nothings against his ears. He smiles at the thought but he needs to focus at what is happening right now.

He looks in front of him again and sees someone familiar. He looks like him but more mature and stiff.

"How is your sleep, my humanoid body?"

Aiden stiffens when he hears that familiar voice. He looks at the figure and squints his eyes. This is the first time he has seen him. He just always hear his voice but Aiden always reminds him not to listen.

"Don't be too shock. I've always been with you all the time yet you never listen to me."

Aiden shivers as he listens to the figure's cold tone. He stares at him, bewildered and unknown to what will he do. The figure doesn't have a face or a mouth. His body is pure white and he doesn't have any hands or feet.

The figure is only floating from the air.

He looks to his side and the child that he sees earlier is no longer there. Confusing to his part, he tries to speak but nothing comes out. Just a few groans from his mouth and widening eyes.

In his mind, Aiden does not know what to do. He doesn't even know the figure and still confused where he is.

"Don't you worry, my dear human. I will take care of your Primo. Leaving Daime in sadness and loneliness like you want to."

Aiden shakes his head but the figure is not listening. He doesn't even know if the figure has ears or if he has the ability to listen.

'Wait! '

Aiden screams in his head but the figure continues to move far away from him. Aiden groans and groans but the figure is still not looking back at him. Aiden screams his name until the figure fades.

Tears from Aiden's eyes start to fall to his cheeks as he screams Daime's name. Hoping that he will hear him and forgives him for making him lonely.

He even wishes that everything is just a dream. A dream that he wishes to forget.

Aiden opens his eyes and a greyish dark ceiling welcomes him. He scrambles to sit down and looks around the room.

He sees the random trophies, vases, figurines and some cars that are displayed on the nightstands and the shelves. He remembers this room. And he is sure that he is inside Primo's room.

He looks at the clock and it shows nine in the evening. He releases a sigh of relief and holds his head.

"That merciless tyrant! He almost killed me!"

Aiden swallows the heavy lump of saliva in his throat before he puts his palm in near his chest as he feels his heart pounding loudly inside.

He shakes his head after releasing a soft sigh and gets out of the bed to look around the house. His mission is too look for Daime and talks to him about what he saw earlier.

"I need to talk to him and make sure that he is not jealous or anything. I love them both and I don't want to lose any of them."

Aiden nods his head when his decision is final and goes out of the room. He stares at the darkness that welcomes him until he sees a tiny light from the kitchen.

He comes down from Primo's room and quietly walks to the kitchen to see who it is. He smiles when he sees Daime cooking something.

He enters the kitchen when he suddenly hears the oven clicking, making Daime looks at it and sighs. Aiden knows for a fact that Daime is a master of baking compared to Primo.

But this is the first time that Aiden had seen him so sad that even the cake looks sad as well. It reminds him when Daime teaches him how to bake a cake back in the Philippines.

"Baking also shows a lot of your emotion. It is not just mixing ingredients to create something extraordinary."

Aiden smiles at that thought and proceeds on surprising Daime since he is awake.

"BA!"

Daime didn't flinch when he hears the sound but he didn't look at Aiden as well. He still focuses on doing his cakes and did not care about Aiden.

Aiden frowns a little and touches Daime's shoulder. He takes a step back when Daime suddenly flinches on him. He doesn't know what he did but to see the man that he loves with that expression, he feels his heart had been dropped to the ground and breaks into tiny pieces of broken glass.

"Daime? Baby, are you okay?"

Daime is stun when he hears Aiden calling him, "Baby". He looks at him with confusion, making Aiden feels stupid at his reaction.

"Can I help you with something?"

This reaction pains Daime, truthfully. But he needs to distance himself from Aiden after reading the folder that his cousin gave him after the wedding party.

he is doing this not because of the tradition but because it is wise in doing so. According in the Santoro tradition, a cousin who is getting married shall always be the main priority.

In their case, since they are under a three-way relationship, Daime needs to make sure that Primo is the main priority between the two.

Aiden is a special kind of man and he knows that Grandmama will wish him to do this as well. It pains him, yes. But there is nothing he can but follow.

Aiden looks at Daime and chuckles. Thinking that Daime is only sulking because Aiden sits beside Primo and not him even after he asks Aiden before getting on the van.

"Oh, you. Are you sulking again? Because I did not seat beside you on the van?"

Daime only blinks his eyes but he did not responds to Aiden. He only keeps on looking at him. Mastering and memorizing every feature that Aiden have. Saving it in his memories for a life time.

This is them, now. Just friends. There is no more sex, no more kisses, nothing. If Aiden can't distance himself, then Daime will.

Daime sighs as he stops the machine in front of him and takes out his phone from his pocket. Dialing Primo's number with a blank expression, Aiden hugs him from the side and lifts his body to kiss Daime on the cheeks.

"I am sowwy, Master. I won't do it again."

The staggering patience that Daime has at this moment is slowly fluctuates. He can't do it. He loves Aiden too much that this situation breaks his heart. He sighs and lets go of the phone as he ends the call even before Primo can even answer him.

Daime cups Aiden's chin and leans forward. Aiden smiles in his head as he closes his eyes and readies himself for the kiss.

Moments pass but Aiden did not feel any lips press on his own. Frowning, he opens his eyes and shocks to see ocean blue eyes instead of silver eyes.

He blinks away and almost pushes Primo when he smirks. Daime lets go of Aiden's chin and moves away from him, removing the blue contact lenses that he is wearing earlier.

"Don't be too shock, Aiden. It's still me."

Aiden looks at his face and finally sees those silver eyes. He smiles at Daime but not before punching him to his arms and shows him a pout.

"Why would do something like that?! I told you before! You don't have to be Primo for me to love you! Because I already do!"

Daime stops from what he is doing and looks at Aiden. He stares at Aiden and frowns. Not remembering that he even told Aiden that he will pretend to be Primo or even heard Aiden saying any of those things.

A questionable look shows at Daime's face, making Aiden looks at him in worry.

"What is wrong?"

Daime opens his mouth but he eventually closes it. His mind is blank and he can't remember those words from his memory. He clears his throat as he looks at Aiden before asking them about it.

"What do you mean pretend? When did I tell you I will pretend as my cousin?"

Aiden's mind stops and realizes that those words are from his dreams and not in real life. His eyes widen in surprise and covers his mouth.

This is when he knew... he fucked up.
