SLAP!

"You, stupid Alpha! Remember when you told me that you will take care of my son because you love him so much?! Why would you do something like this, Primo?!"

Primo couldn't look at Aiden's father straight in the eyes. He was still sweaty and trembling from what had happened to Aiden. He spared a glance to his unconscious mate on the hospital bed before Master Evon slapped him again.

"I trusted you. I trusted you when you told me that you will protect my son at all cost! I trusted you when you said that you will be with him through tough times and bad! I trusted you when you said that you will make him happy! I trusted your words, Primo!

Tell me! How could you do this to my son?!!"

Primo was still not talking. He didn't know what to answer the elder as he just looked down to his feet and listened to the frustrated elder.

Master Evon cried while looking at his son who looked like Aiden will faint any time soon. He never knew that this will happen to his son after getting married to Primo.

He had seen them in a very romantic way and did not give much thought when he saw Aiden with a bruise before. Knowing his son, he thought that he got the bruise from being clumsy just like when he was still a child.

Aiden has known to be the clumsy one since birth. That's why Cassie was always with him. Master Evon sighed with frustration as he faced Primo with a blank expression. Even if he knew that trusting Primo again might endanger his son, there was nothing he could do.

Separating an Omega with his or her Alpha will show a drastic change to their mate. And Master Evon don't have the heart to see his son looking as if he was going to die any minute the moment his Alpha was away.

"I will give you one more chance, Primo. Prove to me that you will take care of my son and won't let this happen again."

Primo only nodded as Master Evon moved past by him and walked away. Primo let out a deep sigh before looking at the nurse, who was waiting for him to come inside Aiden's room.

The Alpha thanked her and entered Aiden's room. Primo looked at the sleeping Omega, who looked peaceful on his bed. The ECG monitor was running smoothly and the tubes that were attached to Aiden were placed properly.

Primo sighed once again and sat beside his life mate before holding his left cold-thin hand, wrapping his large hands to cover them up from the coldness of the room.

The Alpha placed his head on top of their hands and breathe out. He stared at Aiden's direction as tears fell on his cheeks as he cry out loud beside his lover.

Primo breathe in and out as memories from their past decided to flash in front of his eyes to tell him that Aiden was there whenever he tried to cheat life or even their marriage.

[FLASHBACK SEVEN MONTHS AGO]

"Aiden! I can't believe you and Primo already married! I am so happy for you!"

The voice that Aiden hated to hear was there in front of him with a giant smile on his face. It has been weeks since he was married to Primo and he should've been happy, but no.

For Aiden, it was his biggest mistake. He tried to call off the marriage but he was reluctant to say anything to his father. He saw how much money his family put on their wedding and breaking it up was never in his bucket list.

He smiled at the woman in front of him, who has a giant smile plastered on her face.

[This witch. How dare she smile at me like this when she was the reason why I almost call off my own wedding with Primo?]

The Omega sat beside Cassie who pushed the woman away from Aiden, in an attempt to sit near him. The woman looked at Cassie with a glare but the Beta only looked and checked Aiden for bruises and any other injuries.

"Ungrateful Beta."

Cassie looked at her with a growl on her chest. The woman scurried away upon hearing the growl from the Beta. Aiden thanked her and sighed beside his friend. It has been weeks since their marriage but it felt like years to him already.

"How are you Aiden?"

How was Aiden, really? The Omega did not respond with his cheery attitude and smiling looks. But instead, he replied Cassie with a scoff and a sarcastic remark.

"Oh, I am doing great! My Alpha cared for me and we go to dates in a different city, giving a reason like, "We are going to have a business meeting almost 300 kilometer away from our home, don't wait for me!" with his big voice as if he is always scolding! Yup, my life is definitely great!"

Cassie looked at Aiden with a concerned face as she face the Omega and forcefully turned him towards her direction. With a straight face, Cassie asked Aiden about something that has been a very trivial topic between her and Jasmine.

"Is Primo cheating on you?"

Aiden looked at her with his big brown eyes and chuckled. He did not care whether will deemed him crazy but laughing might be the solution he just need. But his laughter do not sound sincere.

It sound as if it was taunting to say something that will ruin Primo's life in an instant. Not caring of all the words that will come out of his mouth, Aiden answered Cassie truthfully and loudly.

Loud for the paparazzi to hear and have a scoop of the daily life of both Aiden and Primo.

"Primo? Cheating? Of course, he is cheating on me! Why do you think he is always not home and always have a business trip in the other parts of the world, where I can't reach him?

Also, of course Primo is hurting me. I mean, look at my bruises! Do you think I get them for just being clumsy all the time, Cassie? This black eye that was covered with some make up and this blackening on my thigh were the results of me being clumsy!

Cassie, my friend, Primo is abusing me and no one knew and no one will care. So I don't know why are you even asking me this?"

After that, news of Primo being abusive and manipulative surfaced all of the social media. Pictures of Aiden with bruises and some injuries are all shown in the public.

For weeks, Primo could not come back home because of the news and everyone was trashing him down and calling him names.

A week had passed and the news of him being abusive hasn't died down. Another news surfaced saying that he was cheating on a woman. They even showed who was the woman and she was bombarded with paparazzi while going to the supermarket to buy her groceries.

She ended up getting some injuries due to this events and filed a complaint order against Aiden, saying that he was the reason for her injuries. This complaint got out of the public and now she was facing death threats from different Omegas and Alphas alike.

While this was happening, Primo was at home and packing up for another "business trip" when he heard the news. He rushed to the hospital where she at when Drax called him that Aiden was in a different hospital as well.

Thinking that Primo will even spare a time visiting Aiden instead of the woman, Drax called him but the older Alpha male soon realized that Primo do not care at all.

The older Alpha looked at the wailing Omega inside of the hospital room and looked away. He even closed his ears to not hear Aiden crying for the lost of his pups.

"Stupid Primo."

Yet, there was nothing that he could do. Aiden's Alpha was not here and will never choose to be here. Since his "friend" was at the other hospital. The older Alpha sighed and was about to walk away when one of the nurses called any Alpha who was available to spread their calming scent to the wailing Omega. And without thinking twice, the older Alpha volunteered and immediately entered Aiden's room.

He closed his eyes and released his calming pheromones to calm the Omega in pain. The nurse told him to look at Aiden but Drax couldn't. He couldn't see the blood that was in between Aiden's legs.

"I am sorry. I can't. I can't see him like this."

The nurse nodded in understanding and walked out of the room.

Primo looked at Aiden as his chest breathing out evenly and wanted to know who was there with him whenever he was not around. Moments passed and no one answered him and no one came to his thoughts except Drax.

He turned towards the door and saw the suspecting Alpha. He never had a chance to asked him about what had happened that time and why he called Primo. What happened to Aiden and why he was not talking to him for weeks?

These bothered Primo up until now but he couldn't bring himself up to ask the man. Now that they are in the hospital again, Primo stood up from his chair and let go of Aiden's hand.

He walked outside and faced Drax. With a straight face, he asked the question that has been bothering him.

"Why was Aiden hospitalized, seven months ago?"
