"Are you stupid, Primo? Did you went blind seven months ago? Did you lost your voice seven months ago? Why are you just asking this to me now?"

Words that he needs to hear and pretends to hear, Primo's mind is blank when he heard what Drax had just said. He never knew this is how Drax feels all the time.

He tried to look at the elder but the aura that surrounds Drax is filled with anger and distrust. Maybe this is what it meant when the younger Santoros said that the elders were scary when they are mad.

Primo was never scared of anyone else before, but now, he thinks that he need to see what others feel before saying anything. This is also the first time that Primo had experienced being scared.

He has been wanting to give Drax an answer to every question the elder asks towards him but answering back an angry Alpha will only make him angrier and Primo doesn't want to deal with that.

"Did your sense of sight just came back after seeing Aiden bleeding because you fucked him hard? Did your conscience came back after seeing how thin your mate was?"

The answer to these questions is a no. But there is something about Drax being angry scares him. He doesn't want to fight Drax or answer him back because it will make it worse.

He continues to look down to the ground and hides his face to everyone around them. He just wishes that Master Evon will not see how pathetic he looks right now or this will be the last day that he will see his mate.

He is so sure of that.

"Tell me, Almighty Primo. Where were you when Aiden needed you here in the hospital, bleeding and screaming in pain, huh? Where were you when I called you several times, only to be answered that you are too busy to care?"

The sarcastic tone in Drax's voice is making him feel the regret and the comical remarks from the elder. It is true that he became careless of Aiden's condition after he saw him smiling again.

At that time, he thought that Aiden had already moved on about Daime's death and will soon forget him. He became too confident that Aiden can solve his own problem without his help.

But unfortunately that wasn't the case.

"Where were you when you're mate was losing all of his strength and almost died? Where were you, Primo?"

Primo wants to answer, he really does. But answering Drax right now will only give him more chance to retort back and might ended up saying something he never meant to say.

The silence that filled the entire hallway is deafening and it is making Primo more anxious than earlier. He tries to ask for help to his other cousins but he knows that no one is going to help him.

Drax will just shut them up and he will look like a loser if they even help him. But the last statement stunned him greatly. He never knew that his mate almost died. He never felt it through their bond.

Or maybe he did, but it was too faint. Or maybe he did, but he never cared. Drax heaves a heavy sigh as he turns around, pissed that Primo stays silent to everything that he just said.

He knew that Primo will never admit that he was with someone else but it is the fact. Primo is with someone when Aiden was screaming at the same hospital they were at right now.

Screaming in pain and frustration that anyone never felt before. But Drax felt it. Drax felt Aiden's pain even without a bond towards the latter.

Drax puts both of his hands on his hip before turning back towards Primo's direction and contemplates whether to tell the latter about what really happened seven months ago.

The older Alpha shakes his head and cusses under his breath. He needs to say it to them. He needs to tell Primo how stupid he was, thinking that Aiden will stay by his side no matter what he does to him.

"You are there with Aryx. The childhood friend, who recently came back to Switzerland. That one friend who made you turned your back to your mate. You are there with her when the doctors declared that Aiden lost his pups."

There. He said it. Drax finally dropped the bomb that he promised not to tell Primo. It is easier to say sorry than ask for permission to reveal the information.

He will just ask for Aiden's forgiveness when he wakes up. If Aiden will have the will to wake up. Primo's eyes widen in surprise as Grandmama gasps at the sudden revelation.

Drax stays there in silence as he shakes his head.

"The pups that were made from your DNA and his DNA. Yes, Primo. Aiden had a miscarriage seven months ago, after finding out that you are cheating with your so-called-friend."

The pain and the suffering, Primo will never know that. Drax is not looking at Primo when he said that. He is forcing himself not to look at him or he might punch him right in the abdomen.

Drax is forcing himself not to hurt Primo or he will see Aiden crying again. The bond that they have might be brittle but the pain that will be inflicted to Aiden will be a big pain.

And Drax doesn't want Aiden to feel more pain than he already had. Tears from Primo's eyes begin to drip down to his cheeks after hearing what really happened to his mate while he was flirting with Aryx.

Primo crouches to the ground and sobs with all his might. Truthfully, the scene that Drax is seeing right now didn't felt real. Primo crying? That will be an impossible feat.

He looks at the crouched man and scoffs. He never knew that Primo will be like this. If he is thinking that it will fool anyone, it will probably be Grandmama but not him or Daime's soul.

"Stop this act, Primo. I know that you really never cared about Aiden. I already saw what you were capable of when we are still in the Philippines.

I know that you are only using Aiden for your own gain. I saw it but I never said anything because it was not my business.

Why am I acting like this, you ask? Well, let me give you an answer to that. Something that is quite sincere because I know that it is something you can't say or feel at all."

Drax crouches down to the ground and grabs Primo by the chin, forcing him to look up to him and grins.

"I am doing this because Aiden is part of the family now. And family? They protect each other. Not break them, piece by piece."
