Floriana Sabina said teasingly. The happiness in her eyes betrayed the meaning of her words. Rant Valo almost couldn't take her seriously seeing her act like that. But to show his sincerity, he admitted it.

"Yes. I really didn't want to recognize you as my Master, but the events that transpired today have changed my mind. Starting right now, Disciple Rant Valo will always listen to you."

There was sincerity in Rant Valo's voice as he said so. There was also determination in it. His determination to live a normal life.

Floriana Sabina smiled at Rant Valo teasingly. Her eyes were full of smiles when Rant Valo looked at it. Rant Valo's heartbeat quickened in anticipation when he saw her smile.

"Then please!"

Rant Valo lowered his head and pleaded to her. He already recognized her as his master so he was also curious about what she had for him. If she gave him another Magical Device then he would gladly take it!

"Here!"

A book appeared in Floriana Sabina's hands and she offered it to Rant Valo. When Rant Valo saw that she was giving him a book, his smile froze. This was not the Magical Device that he was expecting to get.

"Do you have a problem with it?"

Floriana Sabina saw the disappointment in Rant Valo's eyes and couldn't help but be taken aback.

Rant Valo could only pretend that he was not disappointed. He kind of expected too high when he thought that she would give him another magical device.

"Hmph! Be grateful! This is the cure to your curse, you know?"

Floriana Sabina snorted and took back the book.

"No, no, no! I'm sorry!"

Rant Valo panicked when he heard that it was the cure to his curse. He would be too stupid if he didn't take it from her.

Floriana Sabina said with a cheeky grin on her face. When Rant Valo saw that, his hopes were crushed. He was really stupid. He allowed such an opportunity to pass him by because he thought that it was not valuable.

Rant Valo felt regret crush his heart right now.

Rant Valo looked up at Floriana Sabina pleadingly just like a puppy. Floriana Sabina tried to push him off but he was sticking to her like bubblegum.

"Get off!"

"Master, the book!"

Rant Valo still didn't stop when he heard her words. Who knows when he will see that book ever again if she really keeps it.

"Hmph. You leave me no choice."

Floriana Sabina snorted and pushed Rant Valo away using her mana. Rant Valo suddenly felt a strong force push his body away. He saw Floriana Sabina float high into the skies. His mouth opened wide when he saw how high she was flying.

"A strong cultivator!"

That's when Rant Valo realized that she was really the real deal. The little bit of doubt still left in him was gone in an instant. His heart felt awe at her.

"Disciple, do you want this book?"

Floriana Sabina wagged the book in her hand in front of her just like a stick. She was acting like Rant Valo was a dog and the book in her hand was the fetching stick.

Rant Valo nodded his head vigorously. This book is his hope and dream. If he got it perhaps he could still go back to the village and marry the village maiden, Zaria.

Floriana Sabina said to Rant Valo while flying high in the sky. Her robes flapped with the wind.

Rant Valo's head stopped when he heard what she said. He couldn't comprehend any of it. It was like they were talking about a topic that he was not aware that they were talking about.

"Well, you know, I'm bad at cooking and all… so I wanted you to teach me!"

Floriana Sabina fidgeted her hands together and looked away bashfully. As his Master, she was getting embarrassed for asking him to teach her.

Rant Valo hurriedly nodded his head. If teaching her how to cook was the price then he will gladly take it. He has nothing to lose anyway.

"Hmph! Here!"

Floriana Sabina floated downward towards him. She hmph'd and threw him the book. Rant Valo caught the book and hugged it in his chest just like how one would hug a baby.

"Thank you!"

Rant Valo looked at Floriana Sabina with gratitude in his eyes. When Floriana Sabina saw that in his eyes she looked away in embarrassment. Her cheeks flushed red as she looked away.

Rant Valo ran towards the tree where the girl from earlier was resting and rested his back on its strong trunk. Floriana Sabina stared at the skewered fishes by the side and pondered what Rant Valo taught her earlier.

She wanted to try cooking it by herself. She wanted to leave Rant Valo alone for a while so he could read the book.

Rant Valo looked at the book in his hands in excitement. He saw no title on its cover.

He flipped it open to the first page and read the words written on it.
