"So it was her decision…"

Rant Valo looked at Veia from far away and couldn't help but pity her somehow. She was finally free from her past, but her past was not planning to free her.

"Veia, are you okay now?"

Rant Valo sprinted towards her. At this time, the best he could do was console her. She must be pretty fragile right now.

"M-master!"

Veia jumped into Rant Valo's embrace. Having her master by her side is really relieving. One of the reasons that she had the determination to do her revenge herself was to make Rant Valo's trouble of going in here worth it. If she didn't show that she's now a strong woman then would she have a chance at him in the future?

"Veia…"

Rant Valo wasn't sure why he was feeling so close with her right now. He only spent a short amount of time with her, but he realized that he already valued her just like what he does with Floriana Sabina.

Having them by his side was better compared to when he was always alone in his village. The feeling of loneliness that he felt in the past was well worth it if he could spend the next few with people that truly feel happy being with him.

Although there are times when he was confused by their actions. He just chalked it up to himself. He does not have a lot of social experience after all.

"No more hugging!"

Floriana Sabina saw that they were hugging more and more and moved in to separate the two of them. She always had the feeling that she was being threatened when she sees the two of them being so close to each other.

"Ahaha…"

Rant Valo separated from Veia awkwardly. Somehow, the way Floriana Sabina has been looking at them was like she was looking at a PDA couple.

"..."

Veia wanted to hug Rant Valo more but when she saw that Floriana Sabina is really adamant, she gave up. She was her savior. Her words are currently absolute.

"Why did you save Veia anyways, Master?"

Rant Valo suddenly thought. He vaguely remembers her saying that she's doing it to get even with her.

"Hmph! None of your business."

Floriana Sabina was too embarrassed to admit the real reason that she saved Veia. For her, it was totally unlike a master if she revealed it.

"I want to thank you again, Grandmaster."

Veia walked forward and crouched in front of Floriana Sabina. She clasped Floriana Sabina's hand together with hers.

"Awawawawawaw… Disciple, save meeee-!"

Floriana Sabina's face went red from embarrassment. Getting thanked this sincerely was something that she had never felt before.

"AHAHAHAHA"

Rant Valo laughed seeing that scene. The stress of Veia's unknown life and death situation was finally lifted from his shoulders. If they are already like this then it means that life has really returned to normal.

"What are you laughing at?" x2

Both Floriana Sabina and Veia were displeased when they saw that Rant Valo was laughing at them. They suddenly felt like they were clowns and he was the audience.

"Nothing, it was just that I never thought that this would happen earlier."

Rant Valo explained while wiping the tear from his eye. The ups and downs of life are truly unpredictable.

"Really, I feel like Master is just mocking us both…"

Veia pouted her mouth.

"Disciple, you should take things like this more seriously!"

Floriana Sabina snarled at Rant Valo angrily.

"Right? Veia?"

Floriana Sabina turned her head and smiled at Veia. Veia was taken aback by Floriana Sabina's kind attitude but she quickly recovered and smiled back.

"Yes, Grandmaster!"

Veia felt her relationship with Floriana Sabina improve drastically. It was unlike what it was just a moment before. Right now, she could feel a sort of bond, a camaraderie between each other.

"Let's go now, Disciple!"

"Let's go, Master!"

Floriana Sabina and Veia pushed Rant Valo and held Veia's hand as they pushed Rant Valo together.

"Wai- Hey! Stop pushing me!"

Rant Valo was powerless as they both pushed him towards the stairs outside.

"Let's fly."

Before long, they reached in front of the stairs and Floriana Sabina suggested. They would have to walk a long way just to go up and out of this part of the cave.

Veia nodded her head and grabbed Floriana Sabina's hand tighter.

Floriana Sabina held onto the hem of Rant Valo's clothes and carried him together with Veia as they flew upwards very fast. In the blink of an eye, they were already at the top.

Rant Valo was speechless. It felt like Floriana Sabina got faster or it could just be his imagination.

"They were probably victims here too…"

Veia looked at the 11 chained skeletons in front of them and felt sorrow. They most likely experienced the same things as her but didn't have the chance to revive.

"Let's bury them."

Veia decided. She would feel better if she buried them. Her conscience was telling her that leaving them like this would be going against herself right now. Now that she already remembered her grievances.

"Un."

"Mm."

Floriana Sabina and Rant Valo both nodded their heads together. They finally knew that the culprit for their deaths was just deeper in this cave.

Floriana Sabina and Rant Valo helped Veia move the bodies outside. It didn't take more than 2 returns since Floriana Sabina carried the bulk of them with her elemental mana.

It was already night and they reached the place where the tree was uprooted earlier. It was a wide and spacious hole, enough to fit all the 11 skeletons.

"May the Heavenly Judge, bless your next life!"

Floriana Sabina did a small prayer and waved her hand. A huge mound of dirt was removed from the ground and covered the hole that the tree was uprooted from.

"Rest well. I will avenge everyone…"

Veia did her own prayers to the side. She doesn't know who they are but she was sure that they must have experienced horrible things just like her.
