"Master!"

Veia came from the side and embraced Rant Valo tightly. She sniffed his chest as she took in her master's scent.

"Veia…"

Rant Valo embraced Veia and patted her back.

"Master, I want to drink your blood again!"

Veia protested. She hugged Rant Valo tighter and tighter. She bared her fangs and was just about to bite Rant Valo's neck when Floriana Sabina smacked her head with a fan.

"Stop it! Veia, it had only been three days. What are you overreacting for?"

Floriana Sabina scolded her. She couldn't let Veia bite Rant Valo directly on his neck. It would only arouse both of them which could turn into a weird direction.

"Really… Grandmaster is always hindering me."

Veia let go of Rant Valo with a pout. She looked at Floriana Sabina with a displeased expression.

"Hmph! If you weren't so lustful, I wouldn't be."

Floriana Sabina retorted back at her. The only reason she didn't want Veia to interact too closely with Rant Valo was that she tends to escalate things in a sexual manner.

"Disciple, here's your book. Review the new magic techniques."

Floriana Sabina passed Rant Valo's cultivation manual to him. She had been safekeeping it all this time.

"I understand, Master Floriana."

Rant Valo nodded his head. He flipped through the book and read through all of the magic techniques listed in it. The more his cultivation progresses it reveals more cultivation techniques to him.

2nd Mana Condensation stage, Luck Lock.

3rd Mana Condensation stage, Fortune Boost.

4th Mana Condensation stage, What's Yours Is Mine.

5th Mana Condensation stage, Tide Of Bad Fortune.

6th Mana Condensation stage, Luck Union.

7th Mana Condensation stage, Diving Magpie.

8th Mana Condensation stage, The Flap Of The Lucky Phoenix.

9th Mana Condensation stage, Lucky Dragon Breath.

10th Mana Condensation stage, Tortoise Fortune's Defence.

It was a long list. Even Rant Valo was shocked by it. It was hard for him to fathom how he would even remember how to execute each of them. He couldn't help but gulp. This sure was a challenge to tackle.

The reason he didn't practice the other magic techniques besides the Tide Of Bad Fortune was that he didn't have the chance to try them at all.

Rant Valo focused on the magic technique listed for the 1st Mana Condensation stage. It was about the luck brought by four-leaf clovers.

He circulated the white mana inside his core and pushed it all inside his mana channels. Different from the Tide Of Bad Fortune, this magic technique cycled the mana inside his mana channels. It was written that the effects would boost the user's luck.

Rant Valo's body glowed with a faint white light. He was like an angel that has descended to the world. With the minimal lighting inside the cave, it was even more pronounced.

"Wow! You look so cool, Master!"

Veia exclaimed in amazement as she watched her master glow just like a deity.

Floriana Sabina couldn't help but do a double-take when she saw Rant Valo glowing. She thought that she was imagining things as Rant Valo shouldn't just start glowing.

Rant Valo couldn't hear anything from the outside. He was too engrossed in observing the circulation of the mana inside his mana channels. He made sure that it all circulated perfectly.

Rant Valo released the magic technique and he could feel his body return to normal. He then focused on the second one. It was the 'Luck Lock'.

Just as its name suggests. It locks the luck of others. Rant Valo furrowed his eyebrows. What did 'locking luck' actually mean? It was such a weird choice of words in Rant Valo's opinion.

"Master Floriana, I'll try out my magic technique on you."

Rant Valo opened his eyes and said to Floriana Sabina. He closed his eyes when he saw her nod her head. He followed the mana channels that were written in the cultivation manual.

Rant Valo opened his eyes, and a stream of mana escaped his eyes before hitting Floriana Sabina's body. The moment it hit her body, Floriana Sabina felt an illusory chain lock her body up.

She tried moving, and she actually could. She became confused and looked at her body. She felt the illusory chain lock her up before disappearing.

"It didn't work, Disciple."

Floriana Sabina told Rant Valo before she sighed and closed her eyes. It must be that Rant Valo's magic technique failed that's why the illusory chain disappeared quickly.

"Really?"

Rant Valo was bewildered. He could feel that his mana was still being drained constantly.

Meanwhile, Floriana Sabina was trying to circulate her mana but it didn't budge. She pushed harder and the mana finally circulated once again. It was like her mana was stuck on something.

"Gohogh…"

Rant Valo coughed a mouthful of blood when Floriana Sabina was finally able to circulate her mana again. She actually forcefully broke the Luck Lock that Rant Valo had set up in her body.

"D-Disciple!?"

Floriana Sabina opened her eyes when she heard Rant Valo;s violent cough and she was horrified by what she saw. He looked ghastly. It was like he jogged across the world as his face was pale and blood leaked from his mouth.

"M-Master Floriana…"

Rant Valo called out to her before he passed out. Rant Valo couldn't hear anything anymore when Veia ran towards him and shook him. There was panic on her face. She was anxious. Her master just suddenly coughed out blood.

Rant Valo's consciousness entered inside his body. He saw his Core in disarray. All of the strands of mana that connected his Core to his body were severed.

He couldn't help but feel fear. He would become a cripple if his core was not fixed quickly. He desperately tried to control his mana, but they did not respond.

'Move!'

Rant Valo shouted at his mana. He hoped that something would happen when he did that, but he was wrong. It was all the same. His mana was still unresponsive.

'F*ck!'

Rant Valo couldn't help but curse. His anxiousness was slowly mounting up the longer he looked at his broken core.
