"Shh. Master is resting."

Veia shushed Floriana Sabina. She looked at her, annoyed. In her opinion, her Master's wellbeing is her priority right now.

"Disciple?"

Floriana Sabina walked towards them. She looked at Rant Valo, who was about to fall asleep.

"I guess I'll let it slide this time…"

Floriana Sabina sighed. Her disciple was tired, and it would be evil of her to stop him from getting his well-deserved rest.

Soon, Rant Valo fell asleep. His breathing became slower and more relaxed.

"Hmph. Always taking advantage of my disciple."

Floriana Sabina snorted at Veia after realizing that Rant Valo was already asleep.

"I just love Master that much…"

Veia had a longing look on her face as she stared at Rant Valo's face. She was willing to do anything for her master. The more she drank his blood, the more he took control of her heart. In the end, Veia was entirely smitten by him.

"Love…"

Floriana Sabina couldn't deny Veia's words. She has seen how Veia acts towards Rant Valo, and she was sure that Veia was doing it out of love.

"Grandmaster, I love Master so much that I was even willing to share him with a woman that I have never met. That's why I'm more willing to share him with you. At least, I know that Grandmaster is someone I could trust Master to."

Veia spoke what was inside her heart. Her Master was destined for great things. She knew that he had a lot of priorities right now. She conceded herself by acceding to his desire to marry both her and that other girl. So that he could focus on his goals.

"V-Veia, stop saying things like that."

Floriana Sabina responded in embarrassment. Veia's words suggested that she was in love with her disciple when she was clearly not.

"I can feel it, Grandmaster. That one day you will also become Master's woman."

Veia replied with a serene smile on her face. From the early signs that she was seeing, she was almost 100% sure that Floriana Sabina will one day fall for Rant Valo.

"M-Me? He's just a kid in my eyes. Why would I fall for him?"

Floriana Sabina's face was blushing as she tried to deny Veia's words. In her mind, it doesn't make sense that she'd fall in love with her disciple. It would be a desecration of their pure Master-Disciple Relationship.

"Age is just a number, Grandmaster. Just look at you. You look like a little girl when your age is much greater than what one would think."

Veia didn't even want to believe it at first that Floriana Sabina was more than 500 years old, but she didn't have any choice but to believe it as Floriana Sabina's strength is great enough of proof.

"I know, but… Veia, your words just don't make sense to me."

Floriana Sabina understood where Veia was coming from, but she still had her pride and all. If she starts a love relationship with her disciple, she would be ashamed.

"Then… once you change your mind, tell me, Grandmaster. I'll make us a big and happy family!"

Veia smiled at her kindly. She will make her Master the happiest man in the world!

"Veia…"

Floriana Sabina could see the determination and resolve that Veia has. She was determined to make her master happy, and she was resolved to do anything to achieve that.

Several hours later, Rant Valo opened his eyes. He looked up at Veia with sleepy eyes.

"Good evening, Master."

Veia greeted him. There was a sweet smile on her face.

"V-Veia!?"

Rant Valo immediately stood up in shock. He looked at her smiling face and her lap repeatedly.

"Did you enjoy sleeping on my lap, Master?"

Veia asked him.

"W-Why was I sleeping on your lap?"

Rant Valo asked in a stutter. He still didn't recall what happened before.

"You were too tired, Master, so I offered you my lap, and you slept on it very comfortably."

Veia explained to him with a teasing smile on her face. Rant Valo finally remembered after he heard her words. His face turned red as he realized that he slept on her lap for so long.

"I see. Thank you."

Rant Valo thanked her with an awkward smile on his face.

"You can sleep on my lap whenever you want, Master."

Veia nodded her head before she stood up. Having her lap slept on for so long made her legs feel numb.

Rant Valo scratched the back of his head awkwardly. Though, he couldn't deny that it was really comfortable sleeping on Veia's lap. It was like he was sleeping on a soft pillow.

"Master Floriana?"

Rant Valo nudged Floriana Sabina, who was cultivating just near him. She opened her eyes and looked at him. There was a weird look in her eyes.

"Oh, Disciple. What do you want?"

Floriana Sabina asked him with an emotionless face.

Rant Valo was taken aback by her face. He immediately thought back to the past, but he couldn't remember making her angry.

"I want to test my new magic technique."

Rant Valo replied to her. Since he doesn't have any idea why she was acting so coldly, he could only forget about it.

"Okay."

Floriana Sabina nodded her head and stood up. Rant Valo and Floriana Sabina exited the underground room. Veia was already outside. She was sitting on top of a rock as she allowed her legs to rest.

"Oh, Master, and… Grandmaster."

Veia noticed the cold face Floriana Sabina was putting on. For her, who was always with Floriana Sabina, it was self-evident.

Floriana Sabina only nodded her head at Veia in greeting.

"Alright, Master Floriana. Stand there again. I'll use another attack magic technique."

Rant Valo stood at the same spot from earlier, and so did Floriana Sabina. Rant Valo took a deep breath and released it before he closed his eyes.

This would be a tough magic technique to execute. That's why he was slightly nervous.

Rant Valo circulated his mana in a very complicated manner as it went left and right throughout his body before he opened his eyes.

"Flap of the Lucky Phoenix!"

Rant Valo shouted.
