The fear inducing sight didn't faze everyone, Sofia being oke of the few who kept their wits about

'Was it him'

The first thing her eyes darted toward was mot the vampire like monster but Dag instead, she suspected the man to be luring them into a trap ever since she heard about the area the bats wouldn't dare go near, plus the fact that he always wore sunglasses even in the dead of the night

'Could he also be a vampire?'

She wondered whether the open jaw of his was a genuine expression of shock or just another act

"Hang in there cous'n!"

The woman suddenly yelled, her figure then darting at the monster before them with the sign ready to be swung

'Damn it!'

Not just Sofia, everyone else wore a nasty expression seeing her so impulsive, some wanted to get a good grip around the situation while others wanted to see if they could talk things out seeing as the monstrous woman was able to talk their language

There was no use crying over spilt blood now, everyone had to back her up now

The first to act was naturally Sofia, the distance between her the monster wasn't large so she quickly sent two darts at the delicate eyes, even an Angelic Apostle like her showed no mercy in battle

TingTing!

The darts were blocked by the small nails, even so Sofia could swear something was off since the woman's reaction didn't seem fast enough to do so

An axe followed that thought, coming from one of her guards as it cleaved by the sign carrying woman and at the monster only for her to sidestep it with ease

Only now did the woman arrive with her stop sign smashing forward, a shout along with it

"Go to hell!!!"

SWISHBAM!

Suddenly the sign accelerated and hit the area where the monster was with a loud bang creating a crater on the marble ground, the result of a skill no doubt

Not one of them thought the battle was over however and they all still dashed toward the woman, a good thing as well since Berry wouldn't have saved her with his shovel when the monster appeared on her back trying to take a chunk of the vulnerable neck

"Damn it woman what's gotten into you!"

"Shut up and help me slay this beast, my cousin is up there with 'em"

"I think we're already figured that OUT!"

Loudly replied Titan Feller as his muscles bulged at the end of his sentence, legs growing another size before he shot toward the dodgy winged figure like an arrow

His flying punch obviously failed to connect, the same couldn't be said about the dagger of the one riding his back however

"Kiee!

Getting slashed by the lanky man whos body was easily hidden on the broad back of Titan Feller the monster tried to attack back but the two had already flown by meaning she'd have yo give chase leaving her back open to the others, clearly not the best option

"That won't work twice"

"You don't say"

After a heavy landing the two quipped, looking at how the shallow slash was already healing

"Couldn't have made a deeper cut? Even taking an arm would have been good"

"Maybe if you weren't punching at the air, too scared to get close to her maybe?"

"Merely testing the waters"

While the two conversed, jabbing at one another, everyone else was sizing each other up, those who attacked seemed to be the only participants in the fight right now, any more and they would get in each other's way, not to mention their speed may not keep up with the battle anyway

"Surround her, the rest of you make sure nothing integers with the battle"

Sofia commanded, eyeing one of her her guard before pointing them at Dag sneakily to show who she meant by the second remark

"Let's do this Feller"

"You got it Berry"

One with an enlarged arm and the other with an ordinary shovel rushed at the monster from opposite sides

She didn't dodge this time and was ready to receive both with her strong hands, the two however decided to avoid the confrontation they themselves started

Feller smashed his arm at the marble floor causing it to sink in before even arriving next to her, putting himself in an awkward position where he was stuck unable to move

"Eat this!"

Berry shouted following his comrades puzzling move as he also stuck his shovel into the earth, only to swing it back up producing a cement wall sliding at her while Feller, by some unknown force, also slid across the ground with his big arm positioned for a shoulder slam

Just as the monster decided it wasn't safe to crash head on there was a flaming large axe flying overhead, the woman now holding a pole out of who knows where swinging it with the same deadly force as last time and a volley of darts and daggers flying at her from the front

"KIIIEEE!"

Just when everyone thought they cornered her she shrieked, so loud their eardrums burst open causing blood to flow down and even sight blurring for a moment, the people of the settlement behind them suffering worst fate as some were so impacted they fell to the floor with their mouths foaming

"Watch out!"

Sofia yelled after barely rebounding from shock, sadly the guard of hers was now deaf, unable to see her own daggers being thrown back at him with deadly accuracy, piercing through the heart, lungs, and eyes all at once

"Jackson!!!"

Again she yelled, this time in sorrow

"You monster!"

Seething with rage she looked toward the killer of her guard, who was nowhere in sight

"!!"

Until the wind hit her face causing her to glance up and face the pair of bloody red eyes gliding down with hands wide open, ready for a good swipe

"HAaaa!"

Came out a yell, sounding more like am uncertain scream, that was only heard to the monster who turned her head to the sound finding a punny human jumping at her with his dagger, as if to stop the inevitable death of this marksman

"DIE!"

One single pause in the swipe, that was enough for Sofia to lean backward and send the dart hidden in her sleeve out, meanwhile activating a skill that turned her body blurry, sending her rolling backward to avoid the strike

"Kugh!"

It wasn't a clean escape however as a gash made itself apparent just below her throat, cutting open that delicate skin that was now gleaming white for some reason

"Just how"

She couldn't help but question, clearly just now there was another metalice sound, as if her dart was….blocked

Afraid to look up but with no choice she slowly moved her head, taking in the sight of the unharmed monster battle a huminoide giant while avoiding earth spiked popping out the earth like moles, Feller and Berry were at it with their best trump cards while the others did not join the fray for their own reasons

"She can block it with so much ease"

An arm came to shoulder her but she pushed it away

"Is she really that fast? Something is off"

Standing up on her own while covering the bloody gash she murmured to no one in particular

"Maybe it's a defensive skill? Or perhaps she's merely toying with us"

That face still held the toothy smile for most of the battle, as if their struggle wasn't even a challenge

"Reminds me of a certain someone"

That was a deeply buried memory, one of a playfully smiling monster in human clothing, and just as she was helpless then she was just as helpless now

"No…"

Or was she?

"I am not the me from before, I will not cower and bow before the enemy again"

The gleaming white covering her skin started to spread, slowly but surely covering her body entirely in the bright shade

"I will fight! Even if it takes all I have I shall fight this oppression!"

That man, the world, and this woman before her, all of them she would not tolerate no more

"Be banished from this life you monster"

Her clear voice reached all, deaf or not, as a spear of light formed with her hand while she took aim like a javelin thrower before sending it tearing through the air at the surprised monstrous woman

Wnnnng

There was a ringing sound that accompanied the blinding flash after the spear connected with its target, taking away everyone's sight and leaving them guessing what became of the deadly creature

"Kieee!"

Came a scream before their sight, then a crash of windows just as the world wasn't as white

The second they could barely see everyone turned to the front window which was shattered, beyond it the escaping sorry figure of this monster

"Don't let her go! Let's give chase and-"

The woman who once held a sign was quick to talk but Feller put his battered hand on her shoulder, shaking his head while motioning around

Sofia, whos glorious figure was shining a moment before, was now back on her knees, weaker than ever before

Berry was panting by the side like no tomorrow while the lanky man played around with his finger with an annoyed expression on his face, even Feller himself was riddled with wounds, everyone was more or less unprepared for another round with whatever that was, especially since the scary attack that Sofia mustered barely injured it into fleeing

The large lobby was then sent into another bout of silence, the dripping blood being the only sound
