Summoner Of Miracles Chapter 2

"Senpai… Senpai…"
In his fuzzy consciousness, he heard someone was calling him.
"Senpai… wake up quickly…"
The sound got clearer until he could identify the owner of the voice.
The voice sounded delightful, light, and lovely. He concluded that it was definitely the voice of a young girl.
Hearing the delicate voice calling him out, his body swayed. He wanted to know who was calling him.
However, rather than waking up, he suddenly said.
'I'm like being lulled back to sleep …'
The delicate voice was like a lullaby that was coaxing him to sleep, his consciousness gradually faded, and he returned into the dream world.
'Let me rest for…a bit longer…'
Convincing himself with such an excuse, he began to sink back to the land of dreams.
But suddenly, the sound that was still coaxing him stopped.
'Why did it stop?'
He was disappointed.
If he heard that delicate for another second, he would fall asleep for sure.
"Chirp..!"
Right, that's it.
Wait…
Chirp…?
"Fu..!"
Fu…?
"Fu! Fuuuuu!"
When he heard this sound suddenly, there was a *Pa* sound as something hit his face, waking him up from the deep sleep because of the pain.
"It hurts!!!!"
His sleepiness disappeared entirely along with the pain.
The youngster covered his face from the pain, jumped down from the bed, and opened his eyes, looking at the perpetrator…
"Fuwu!"
Hearing this sort of unique sound, a living thing suddenly entered the youngster's view.
Its body was snow-white with not a speck of dust on it, looking like a small fox or a puppy but not exactly either of them. A bizarre living thing.
This strange thing opened its pair of round eyes and also stared at the youngster with a posture that it had just completed its job of hitting and leaped to stand behind a graceful figure.

It was a young girl.
Her age was the same as the youngster. She had shoulder-length pink hair and bangs covering one of her eyes, wearing a pair of glasses and looking quite cute. Her face seemed very fine as if it had been carved by an artist and all in all, she was a young girl who could make a man's heart beat faster.
At this moment, the young girl extended her hand and welcomed the approaching living thing with both hands.
"Thanks for the trouble Fou."
The young girl was obviously thanking a friend who has helped her did something.
The living thing named Fou was obviously the one who just dashed over and smacked the youngster to wake him up…
But the person who let Fou do that could only be…
"Mashu…"
The youth covered his face and looked hatefully at the girl while calling her name.
It's a pity that the girl ignored him, and earnestly responded, "Good morning, Rozen senpai!"
No matter how you looked at it, what this young girl named Mashu called out was the youngster's name.
Rozen.
This wasn't the youngster's real name, but for certain reasons, anyone who knew him would call him Rozen.
This Mashu girl was obviously familiar with the current Rozen.
Holding up Fou, Mashu looked at Rozen's hate-filled face as if wanting to blame her.
"You were up all night playing games again, senpai?"
On Rozen's bed, there was a laptop, with a game interface still shown on the screen. Besides, Rozen hasn't changed out of his uniform, allowing people to know exactly what state he was in when he fell asleep.
"Eh…"
The hateful expression on Rozen's face immediately vanished and changed into an "Oh shit" face.
Mashu's charming face became serious in response.

"Didn't we agree that you wouldn't spend all night playing games senpai…"
Mashu's eyes were full of blaming look.
"Overwork without proper rest is not good for your body what are you going to do if you get sick?"
Mashu then repeated what she had said dozens of times.
"Funyu!"
Fou had as if planned to agree with Mashu while blaming Rozen at the same time and broke free of her bosom, jumping onto Mashu's shoulder while crying out to Rozen.
Although this cry was adorable, in Rozen's ear, it was like kicking a person when he was down.
At that moment, Rozen could only whisper, "I can sleep in the day anyway, so I can use the night to play games, what's the issue?"
Obviously, it just sounded like a pointless excuse at this point.
"Senpai…"
Mashu pouted. She looked even cuter in fact.
Rozen then hastily replied, "Alright! Alright! I understand!"
Rozen raised up both his hands as if to surrender.
"Really…" Mashu sighed.
People who were familiar with these two would absolutely know this kind of conversation has been repeated almost every day in the same room.
One was a sloppy and amusing youngster.
The other one was an earnest and clever young girl.
Such a pair in this facility called Chaldea almost always had this same conversation basically every day.
Rozen could even guess correctly what this kouhai was worrying about.
Nothing but want to mention two people.
Yes, they were that close, close enough to read each other's minds.
"If you wake up late again, I’d have to tell the director," Mashu said earnestly.
Shortly after, the earnest expression changed to an anxious one, "If the director knew that senpai spent all night playing games, she's definitely going to fly into a rage…"
Mashu looked worried as she said those words.
Hearing the word 'director' was mentioned, Rozen understood.
"The director is the one who told you to wake me up?"
Rozen, who disliked bothersome things, opened his mouth to ask.
Mashu, who heard Rozen mentioning the director in such a scary tone, had no choice but to squeeze a smile.
"Yes, we're supposed to conduct simulated combat today, and the director was trying to contact senpai, but since she got no response, she told me to go and get you."
When Mashu said that, Rozen found that the bracelet on his wrist was blinking, indicating someone was trying to contact him.
"I really don't want to go…"
Deep down, Rozen said.
Mashu expected this kind of outcome, she persuaded him, "Senpai, you should participate. Otherwise, the director will make you clean the whole control room like last time."
Hearing this, Rozen had no choice but to come with Mashu.
"Then we better hurry up and finish this quick…"
Rozen reluctantly agreed and walked out of the room, along with the helpless Mashu.

After meeting with a horrible fate on an otherwise typical Martian day, Tsukino Sachiko finds herself stranded with only a surprisingly unremarkable alien for company. Join her as she battles giant monsters, strange locals, and feelings of insignificance in the hopes she might one day return to a world that makes sense. AN: This story is an attempt to overcome insecurity regarding the quality of my writing by practicing with intentional schlock. "Just write," as the advice goes. While it may not be masterfully plotted, the subject matter is one close to my heart and one that I endeavor to explore in a new light. After all, who ever heard of the fairy sidekick being an isekai protagonist? Cover image © Vanish under the terms of the CC BY-ND 2.0 license.

Ashes of Heaven
Han Xuhan, our protagonist, is an ordinary mortal orphan who sets out on a journey to become immortal by joining a sect. Turns out he might not be our protagonist. Let us pretend that sentence doesn't exist there. Sadly, he hasn't exactly been informed of that fact. So we get to watch him trudge on his path as a cultivator. How long will he survive in a xianxia world by relying only on his dao of meta? Oh? Does that plot feel predictable? Fine!
