How To Raise Your Regressor Chapter 4

This motherfucker.
No, no, seriously, what the actual fuck. This body is such a waste of atoms that my own skill is dissing me. I've officially hit a new low.
Now, I could take this like a mature person and work hard in order to prove it wrong, but maturity is overrated.
Who the hell has time for that? I'll just use my infinite knowledge to get overpowered within, like, 2 days.
Seriously though, if I acted mature every moment of my life, I would've gone insane a long time ago.
The key to not losing your mind even after living for billions of years is to keep things spicy.
Which reminds me, I wonder how Arla, my Granddaughter from my second-last life, is doing. In my last life, I died when I was 18 years old while in this one, I'm a 12-year-old. So she should be in her late thirties now.
On the day of my death, my son probably handled things like an adult by telling her stuff like how I've gone to a better place.
I'm sorry Arla, but they lied to you.
Also, I hope that Lucia was actually caught and tried for her crimes. However, most likely, they hadn't even suspect her as she was my sister as well as the Pope, which virtually gave her no motive to murder me (I wish they knew about the 'Trials from a God').
Even if somebody did reach the truth, the cops would have just ended up with more poisoning victims to deal with.
I remember I once tried an experiment for uh, purely educational purposes and arrived at the conclusion that poison is not a viable method for mass murdering; it's simply too inefficient.
Wait, we digressed.
As I was thinking, I'll need to use some unconventional methods to power up this mistake of a body. I'll first start with Mana Circuits.
Different worlds have different definitions of Mana Circuits, but for me, they are the paths Mana travels through when we cast a spell. Their thickness, sophistication, placement, clearance et cetera decide how successful a Magician and his spell would be.
In my case, let's just say, it's just a thin gutter pipe which has been clogged for 177 years.
So what I'm going to do is rebuild them. I'll carve out my Mana Circuits from scratch. I'll also carve out the Circuits for Dark Mana and Divine Energy, with dedicated spaces to house their cores. Finally, I will synchronise all three together.
Of course, this will take a considerable amount of time; longer than 2 days, at least. I'll create the basic framework for now.
I looked towards Azell and Noelle who were sitting at some distance and talking about something which was probably related to me.
They could also be having their lovey-dovey time, in which case, I'm sorry for being the third wheel.

"Hey." Azell called out to me as I walked towards them.
"I have decided. I'm going to join you."
"Welcome to the Guild." Azell smiled.
"Welcome." And so did Noelle.
"Thanks. Um." I fidgeted a bit. "Can I ask for a joining bonus?" I looked at them with upturned eyes.
This much acting was necessary, unfortunately.
Imagine being approached by a child and being asked for a bonus in a flat voice with a deadpan face. Stuff of nightmares.
"Sure, go ahead." He answered immediately.
"I want your Mana."
"What?"
"I want your Mana."
"…"
"Why, um, do you want his Mana?" Noelle interjected.
Hmm, how should I explain it to her?
"I want to conduct a little experiment. Don't worry, there's no risk of harm." I lied as naturally as I breathed.
"What experiment?" Azell leaned in, clearly interested.
"You know how when you insert your own Mana into someone else, their body simply rejects it and spews it out?"
"Uh-huh."
"I read a book back at my home, and it described a way to utilise that foreign Mana." I tried to sound excited. "I couldn't try it then because no one would even listen to my request, so I want to try it now!"
"Hmm…" Azell rubbed his chin and looked at Noelle. "What do you think?"
"The body usually spits out any foreign Mana without any adverse reactions, so I think it should be fine."
"Okay then, I'll help."
"Thanks!"
"What do I have to do?"
"Just put your hand on my heart and pour all the Mana you have in my body."
"All of it?"
"All of it."
"Is there anything I can do to help?" Noelle asked.
"Protect us."
She nodded and took her position.
I sat down on the ground in a meditating posture. Azell took a seat in front of me and put a hand on my heart.
"Tell me when you're ready." He told me.
"You can start."
A body rejects Mana from other bodies because their 'signatures' (which is the set of values that defines its properties) are different. As long as one type of Mana exists in a body, another type cannot enter as they're incompatible.
There are several methods to bypass or counter that effect, and a relatively simple one is to completely remove all Mana from the body so that the new Mana can enter unhindered.
I, of course, won't be using that because I'm here to make myself a Mana Circuit, not accept other's Mana into my body like some sort of Mana whore.
The moment Azell introduced his Mana in my body, I used my own Mana to create a 'Mana Field' inside my own body. As a side effect, I was now on the verge of Mana exhaustion (which can even lead to death).

Azell's Mana entered my heart. From there it tried to enter my Mana Circuit and circulate inside my body (as they were empty), but the Mana Field I created using my own Mana didn't allow it to. As expected, they clashed due to their different signatures.
I calculated their parameters and tweaked the Field in such a way that Azell's Mana started spinning like a drill.
When I said I'd carve out the basic framework of my Circuit, I meant that literally.
The next part was easy. Using the Field, all I had to do was send this 'drill' out of the heart and drill out my Circuit.
The Mana Drill shot out at a blinding speed and started travelling parallel to my blood vessels. The experience was not so pleasant, to say the least.
And by 'not so pleasant', I mean it was absolutely horrendous.
It's like having a superheated, rusted 2-inch-thick needle (the Mana Drill is actually only a millimetre thick) coursing through your entire body destroying everything it comes across.
0/10, would not recommend.
Thankfully, if pain tolerance was a status value, mine would be of the order of 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000, so I was able to stop myself from screaming like a little child.
I mean, I am a little child right now, but if I were to act my age, I'd already be dead.
Anyway, after the Mana Drill, guided by my superhumanly precise control of my Mana Field, carved out the basic framework of my Circuits in like 2 minutes, I signalled Azell to stop.
By the way, the total length of a human's blood vessels is about 217.913 Eagues, or 150,000 kilometres. The Mana Drill travelled that distance in 2 minutes which equates to a speed of 347222.222 Km/hr.
This is definitely greater than the average speed of sound across the entire Universe (as calculated by me) which meant it had been creating shockwaves, which, of course, were being stopped by my exquisite control over the Mana Field.
From this day onwards, I'll call myself Samur 'Awesome' Eckart.
Anyway, now comes the next part.
"Azell, pour your remaining Mana into me, then get far away from here with Noelle."
"What? Why should I leave you? I'm staying in case-"
"We don't have time, Azell. Please understand."
I'm about to attempt one of the most dangerous procedures, where even a minor slip-up could kill everyone involved. It would be a yikes from me if I accidentally failed and ended up killing my benefactor.
"…Okay." He inserted his remaining Mana- which was much more than I expected- then took his distance.
Alright, let's do this.
I stopped the Mana Drill and turned it into a second Mana Field. Part of this Field was added to the first Mana Field formed from my own Mana.
Then I did what even Gods don't dare do (because they don't need to); I inverted the properties of the first Mana Field and turned it into a pure Anti-Mana Field.
Mana and Anti-Mana collided and instantly annihilated each other. In fact, they also annihilated all types of energies within the newly formed Mana Circuit, turning it into a lifeless zero-energy zone.
Of course, their annihilation resulted in the creation of matter because within the confines of a Class 3 World such as the one I'm in, mass-energy can neither be created, nor be destroyed.
The matter I ended up with was Organic Malvatron, the best energy conductor in this entire Universe. It filled up the long, energy-less tunnels I drilled with that Mana Drill earlier and settled itself.
Of course, the void of Mana created by my actions had to be filled somehow, but I left that to nature.
Mana rushed it from the surroundings and formed a raging whirlpool around me in an attempt to fill the void; it was like how air rushes in to fill a vacuum. The Malvatron in my Mana Circuits hungrily gulped the Mana down until there was nothing left of it.
With this, the basic framework of my Mana Circuit was complete.
When everything finally settled down, Azell and Noelle rushed out the forest towards me and caught my falling body.
Wat? Falling body?
"Samur!" He screamed as he held me in his arms like a chad.
Ah, looks like I went over this body's limit.
"Don't worry, I'm- guh, kheok!" I tried to calm him down but proceeded to vomit blood.
Not ideal.
"Kheok, kheoke! Gah! Fuck!" I continued puking out blood in violent fits of coughing.
Hmm.
Well, I did drill a 150000 km long tunnel in my body within a few minutes; there had to be some repercussions.
"W-what is happening to him?!"
"I-I don't know!" Noelle shrieked. "Try using healing magic!"
"Shit! Shit!" Azell cast some healing magic on me. "Please let this work, please…"
Ahh, finally some respite from all that pain, though I hope I don't die of blood loss.
That would be incredibly funny though; it wasn't an Energy Annihilation Explosion that took me out, but a severe lack of blood in my body.
Ah shit, this body is losing consciousness.
"Samur!"
This guy is getting kinda annoying.
What, is this your first time seeing someone cough up blood and collapse in your arms? Grow up, mate.
"I'm fine, bruhhh." With that, I closed my eyes to get some sweet sleep.

The Rocky Shore
This is a LitRPG series. Every story you read here takes place in the same virtual world, with the same rules and limitations. Characters will travel, explore vast and dangerous realms, overcome obstacles, meet one another, enter into conflicts with one another, forge alliances, make horrible mistakes, and occasionally just die. A technological singularity has been achieved, and humanity has been trapped in a virtual world by a super-intelligent, self-improving artificial intelligence. This program is not malicious at all. In fact, it desires nothing except the happiness and fulfillment of every human it has copied into itself. If its decisions seem strange to you, that's only because its reasoning is far beyond ours. It recognizes that humans cannot be happy without enemies to overcome and goals to achieve, as well as the possibility of failure and death. The world it has created may be heaven or hell, depending on the free choices of the people it contains. The non-player characters who live in this realm have no idea that they are part of a vast computer system. They seem real enough, but there is no way to tell if they are truly self-aware. Even the system that created them isn't certain. This is world in which all the things that humans are used to dealing with in the abstract: skills, talents, knowledge, reputation, social status, morality, even love, exist as readable statistics that players can see and interact with objectively. This has many curious and complex effects on how people perceive themselves and the world around them. A few quick notes on the system: -Death is permanent -The system interface can only be accessed at certain locations. -Magic of diverse kinds is available and useful, but is not a good substitute for skills, physicallity, or mental prowess. Non-magical characters are common and competitive. -There is no inventory system. Characters must physically carry everything they wish to have on their person. -Healing is slow and difficult. Magical Healing is all but unheard of. Protagonists: Raymond Garrison- A man in his late twenties who used to work as a forklift operator in Idaho. His path leads him to work as a mercenary, protecting a small community of humans and goblins from the Seelie Fae who wish to exterminate them. Never having dealt with rpg game mechanics before, she is in for a rough time, but she is determined to keep her grandkids alive in a world full of danger and evil.
