Apocalypse: Living With A Cute Baby Chapter 21

As Li Ran was about to drive away, a person suddenly blocked her way.
He asked, "Aren't you going to wait with us for the rescue team? It's very dangerous for a woman to go out alone."
"I'll be alright. I still need to find my family. They're very important to me."
Li Ran answered impatiently, obviously indicating that she wanted to leave as soon as possible.
The man stood where he was and stared at her for a while. After a while, he gave way to Li Ran.
Without hesitation, Li Ran stepped on the accelerator and left.
She was not sure what was happening at the Duyue Supermarket, there were a lot of zombies in that area. Li Ran did not dare to slow down. She feared that the zombies might catch up to her.
After all, zombies were recklessly crashing into her car!
Some of them slammed their faces into her car's window with their eyes wide open. It was as if their ferocious and horrifying faces were directly magnified in front of Li Ran. The horror she felt was unimaginable!
She tried to endure her nauseousness and continued to step on the gas pedal.
After ten minutes, Li Ran finally arrived at the supermarket but she did not stop her car because there were zombies everywhere.
The nasty body fluid left by the zombies from earlier still covered her car's window.
Li Ran tried her best to ignore it.
If she took another look, she would definitely vomit.
After Li Ran drove a couple of miles away from the supermarket, she stopped at an industrial area. This area was much more desolated.
She stopped her car and looked around carefully. There was a shop with its door open.
Li Ran entered the shop and it was full of dust. At first glance, it does not seem like a place where people lived.

There was a large room with many shelves. The items were still neatly arranged on top. When she walked into the room, there were two more smaller rooms, a simple bedroom, and a bathroom.
Li Ran walked into the bathroom and turned on the tap. There was no water.
'Forget it, this is not important.'
She just needed to wait for a while. Her husband should be coming very soon. The shop was only two streets away.
Suddenly, there was a sound of collision. It immediately made Li Ran's tensed up. She stood up with a solemn expression and directly walked to the back door of the house. She then opened the door and slipped out.
...
At the same time, Lin Nan was driving his car after the call from his wife.
'She's at the supermarket.'
He sped up his car, ignoring all the zombies on the road. The zombies did not have much strength so they did not make too much of an impact on the speeding cars.
"Tsk, there are so many zombies at the supermarket. I'll just try to look for her car instead."
Lin Nan's eyes were fixated on both sides of the road.
Suddenly, he saw a person who was screaming and running. A couple of zombies were chasing him. The zombies were people in their prime so they were pretty agile. The distance between them was shrinking extremely quickly.
Lin Nan frowned and stepped on the brakes.
Fang Lin silently took out his pistol.
*Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!*
Four gunshots could be heard.
The four zombies fell to the ground with their heads blown off.
The man who was running glanced back. After realizing that the zombies were dead, he immediately ran towards Lin Nan while crying.
"Did the government send someone to save me? I'm so lucky. I thought I was going to die."

The man let out a sigh of relief. After all, he had managed to survive such a horrible disaster.
"Can I come in?"
The man looked at Lin Nan and Fang Lin eagerly. He would have a much higher chance of survival if he stuck with them.
He had decided to follow them no matter what!
If they refused to let him in the car, he planned to sit on the hood.
Then, the back door opened. A huge man scooted to the side and said calmly, "There's limited space. You'll have to make do."
"No problem!"
The man swiftly got into the car and closed the car door.
After that, he introduced himself.
"My name is Cui Chong. My saviors, thank you so much!!!"
Cui Chong looked kind and harmless. He was of medium build and had a chubby face, looking very amiable whenever he smiled.
Some people really do have pleasant appearances.
