Omni-Mastery Chapter 51

I started by holding the ticket like pace of paper first…
['Skill ticket' (Special)
Description: can be used to create a skill that is related to user's abilities (bonus reward received from hidden mode completion, skill rank can't exceed the ticket's by more than 1)
Hidden attribute: 'body part selection']
For me, skills were the easiest to obtain, so such a reward might seem a bit underrated. However, it still had its benefits, I could only obtain skills that I had knowledge of, I couldn't simply wish for a certain skill.
It seemed like it would give me something that I may actually need, I had a hint on what that hidden attribute meant, but I still preferred to ask Zero about.
"Hey, Zero, can you help me with this?" I said as I pointed at the skill ticket.
[Hmm, let me see...oh, you are probably wondering about the hidden attribute, right?] (Zero)
"Yes."
[A simple explanation would be that you can receive a skill specific to a body part, according to your selection. For example, you can receive a hand skill, or a leg skill. Other than that, the skill's content would be randomized according to your special talent.]
In that case, it was pretty simple, I already had something in mind. I found the method of activating the ticket on its back. As I tore it.
"Create. Eye." (Zero)
[Skill ticket used, skill creation in progress…..]
[Congratulations! you have received 'Eye of knowledge' (Unique).]
[Woah, a unique skill from the first try!] (Zero)
Taking my own experience till now, the only skills I was able to obtain were all without rank other than 'Mental map' and 'Combat analysis'.
[Well, now then, looks like I need to do more explaining.] (Zero)

[Skill ranks are as follows. The lowest rank is normal rank or just no rank, which is the ranking of most skills that can be trained by normal humans. They are easily obtained with time, although it isn't even near as fast as you do it.] (Zero)
[Next, there is special skills, obtaining them mostly relies on talent & chance. Only 1 in a 1000 would have the chance to obtain one.] (Zero)
[Lastly, Unique skills! Skills that can only be obtained by 1 person, there can't be two people who hold the same skill, practically Impossible! Only 1 in 10000 or even 100000 can obtain one.] (Zero)
[There are also hidden skills, which are only a step higher than normal ones. However, they don't surface unless they are stimulated by other skills.] (Zero)
Listening to the lecture done by Zero while looking at the skill description, I somehow understood why even he was surprised by me receiving this skill.
['Eye of Knowledge' lv1 (Unique)
Skill type: Active, Appraisal
Description: Can be used to appraise objects or even a living being according to the amount & quality of knowledge you hold.]
An appraisal skill!
It was quite similar to 'Weapon resonance'. However, it was simply beyond compare.
This skill deserved its unique rank, it was quite phenomenal.
It was able to appraise almost everything without having specific knowledge about it, it only needed its user to have a certain amount of knowledge as a substitutional!
To me, who had accumulated a huge amount of knowledge during my read, this was simply a skill tailored for me!
I had chosen an eye specific skill in hope of obtaining an advanced combat analysis eye ability of some sort. However, I received a much greater skill than that.
As satisfied as I was, I continued where I left as I stretched my hand towards the box once again.

Red Clay Technical Services: Mercenaries, Magicians, and Marketing
Bobby likes Pabst Blue Ribbon, NASCAR races, and throwing fireballs. A through and through Georgia boy, raised down in the sticks but now working with all things mystic. He is, in other words, a magician. Not just any magician- but one bound by the most egregious of terms: business contracts. See, a long time ago, Bobby got himself involved with a dragon whose business was making magicians, and Bobby wanted magic to be his business. Both of them having common interest, Bobby agreed to sign over his services in exchange for phenomenal (draconic) magic. A pretty awesome deal, right? The contract put him at the top percentage of human magicians, on top of having the backing of a dragon patron, and a fantastic set of benefits befitting an esteemed contractor, so it'd be smooth sailing from then on, right? Not so. That kind of power isn't granted without strings attached, and Bobby's practically bound up in them. Following the esoteric laws set forth by magicians , juggling them with the mortal interests he still has to abide by, and finding himself at the beck and call of a fickle and opaque patron makes his life as a magician a rollercoaster of ups and downs. But when his patron sets him on a strange task- with stranger company, no less, even Bobby has to question what his mission really is. Delving into fantastic crimes and cracking open mysteries is just the least he can do, and he'll do it with the help of his gun, his wand, and his trusted allies both large and small. --- Cover art is of the Georgia Guidestones. Chapters released on a semi-regular basis, at least one every two weeks, sometimes more. Also published on Offprint.net, Webnovel, and Scribblehub under the same title!

To The Far Shore
Post apocalyptic Oregon Trail. The apocalypse has come and gone. And come back again, and left again... nobody really knows how often. Nothing lasts forever, but nothing is ever completely gone. Which is a shame for young Mazelton, as his family has been around a terribly long time, and made an astonishing amount of enemies. Millenia's worth. So he has to run- from mobs, cannibals, soldiers, sailors, cholera, cattle, thieving sales-monks, starvation, mechanical horrors, vengeful spirits, negotiating your own marriage, and poison of every sort. Fortunately, his not terribly nice family has trained him well in the arts of core polishing. Or as you and I might know it- turning radioactive pellets into useful tools. And weapons. Updates Monday-Wednesday-Friday. Usual defensive tags applied. The goal isn't exactly family friendly, but you have probably seen worse on network TV. After the watershed. Not full blown HBO, let's say. This is the first novel I am sharing publicly, so feedback is very much appreciated and encouraged. Act 1 of the novel is completed, but do please let me know what works, what doesn't, and what you would like to see more of. Thank you, and Enjoy!
