"Dr. Piper please listen carefully. It was said that Dr. Cyan's promotion was not Dr. Halsey's orders but the young masters. And that Dr. Halsey will be transferred to the capital and so Dr. Cyan can took over permanently after the lateral transfer…" ​​

Heck! Something caught Piper Xu's breath in between in her lungs. The young master recommended Dr. Cyan? For what reason? How did that petty doctor able to deceive the young master that easy?

Was not the young master that hard to please? She tried so hard to appease him all these days, but she failed. Also, how did the two met? She made all the way to hid Dr. Cyan from the bosses. Well, she kind of admit that doctor was not that easy to beat. He was good. Real good that she had envied her for so long and when she had the chance to pushed him off the cliff —she did. But unfortunately, Dr. Cyan stood still and strong and even got a chance to turn everything she did upside down!

"Is that even true?" When she heard what her previous subordinate said, she contained her anger within, lowering her voice a bit, but her teeth were still drilling against each other.

"I heard it myself it so I'm afraid they were all true. Manager Song discuss this with Dr. Cyan few days ago"

"What else did you heard?"

"Nothing more but rumors in the barn spreading like wildfire just this morning"

"What rumors?" She asked, her confusion and curiosity seemed to have competed against each other at the time, she can't help but asked every detail that she could get.

"That the reason of Dr. Cyan's promotion was that…." She paused a bit and let go "… they were suspecting he was the one who made the cure and not you…"

Hearing that, Piper's face reddened.

"What the heck was everyone talking about? How dare them accused me!"

"Well… Dr. Piper I can't blame them…"

"You little wench! And you had the guts to say that to may face!" She chided upon the person's sarcasm.

"I'm sorry but I just thought maybe you need to hear it..."

"Since you were telling off, why you don't spill it out?" She told with her eyes glaring as if that person she was talking to was in front of her.

"When the horses were healed in the east barn, Dr. Cyan was still there in charge of the night shift. He was also taking care of the horses like you but when you banished him and change his routine to keep him away from the horses…The horses died…"

"Those were just coincidence…" She defended.

"It might be. But the other time… you said the Young master's horse had no more chance, so everybody gave up. But then Dr. Cyan volunteered with the cleaning and the laborers said he was the last person who attended to the stallion horse and in the morning… the horse survived and get through it…"

"All these laborers were but a fool!"

"Maybe but someone also recalled that few days ago, Dr. Cyan's assistant ask the stable master not to let the horses drink water and when they did because of your orders the horses died instantly…." She continued her narrated gossip to Piper who now had the time to listen to her and not cutting her through her own words.

"….. All these circumstances were undeniable…. to add up... they said the Lagdameo heir was a genius one and he can't be wrong. If he recommends Dr. Cyan out of the blue, then it must be because he had a strong reason and that probably because he saved his horse…"

Not wanting to hear it anymore, Piper turned off the call immediately.

That Dr. Cyan Shun was really something!

What her previous subordinate said came in to her and they all made sense. So, it was not her luck that cured the horses, but it was Dr. Cyan? That filthy proud doctor turned everything out of her hands and was now mocking at her?

That's one hell of a drama he made! For sure he planned all of this to make her a laughing stuff. He put her into the trap! She was his victim and his stepping stone to get to Dr. Haley's position! What a terrible monster!

She wouldn't buy his drama at all. So, she thought thoroughly to remedy her predicament.

Suddenly she remembered that she still had her position after all. Good thing they didn't strip her out of her job and that will be their greatest mistake!

She will haunt down Dr. Cyan and make sure he gets all the karma he deserved!

Senior Operations Manager huh? Let's see how he will retain that position. If she has to make everything in her powers and her family's powers to get what she wants, then she will!

With that, Piper Xu changed from her stilettos to her barn boots. She cleaned out her desk making sure she did not miss any memo at all before she went out. She intentionally fastened her pace to avoid everyone's reaction upon seeing her.

No wonder they were all ignoring her because their guilty faces now reflected how they backstabbed her even so when she called off sick.

How dare these employees were!

If only she knew how this day would turn out she should have pretended to be sick for a week or so, but then it's all too late so all she could do was go with the flow.

She knew were everyone was as per the memo's left on her desk. Dr. Cyan must be in the equestrian field right now with the stable master. They were going to test those horses that recovered if the disease had made any effects on their mobility or so. So, they will let some horse riders ride them off the field also to test they were ready for the equestrian competition.

She planned to go there and spy over what everyone was doing until she can think of something to remedy her current situation. Didn't Dr. Halsey asked her to assist Dr. Cyan? So be it!

As she was walking towards the field she walked past through the barn and saw the Lagdameo's horse on the barn so with Dr. Cyan's pretty little assistant grooming it—or playing with it rather.

The sight drew her eyebrows together. She really wondered what's with this assistant of him that made Dr. Cyan entrust her of some important things like a Lagdameo horse.

So, this assistant was the one assigned to such an important horse at the time?

Was Dr. Cyan not afraid she will mess up and ruin everything he hoped for?

Speaking of ruining everything he hoped for. Perhaps she could start off with and easy one.
