Ten years after Melvin's death

"Happy Anniversary to you my wife," Martin greeted as he handed Aviona a glass of champagne. It was their third wedding anniversary and he brought Aviona to a romantic dinner to celebrate it.

A year after Melvin's death, Aviona stepped back into the limelight again and started pursuing her career. Just within two years of gaining experience, Aviona started out a small company that sells off inexpensive medicines which received a good feedback from the consumers. That was then the start of Aviona's career in the business world and soon enough, she became a business magnet, owning a couple of several companies at once.

Martin on the other hand inherited his father's fortune and started managing MChan Entertainment, a company he built as per his father's suggestion. Since his father was a renowned actor, it came easy for Martin to start an entertainment business and make a name out of it.

"Thank you for this, you never fail to amaze me every time," Aviona drank a little from the glass Martin gave her as she marveled at the fireworks over the glass windows of the building, they were in. It was Martin who made the fireworks possible and he made sure to bring Aviona to the floor where she would see the beauty of it.

Ever since Aviona came back, Martin had started courting her. He knew that Melvin died already as some sources told him so even though Feather Health Care did not announced it and the first thing he did was to find Aviona to comfort her. However, Aviona was nowhere to be found back then as she went to Africa while mourning for Melvin and it was only after a year that she emerged in the elite community and started pursuing her plans.

When their paths crossed again, Martin took his chance and started pursuing Aviona while she was busy managing her company. He was a changed man by then, not anymore that reckless and shallow college matinee idol that only wanted popularity and acknowledgement. He made sure to lavish Aviona with gifts and made extra efforts just to let her know how much he treasured her and soon, after seven long years, Aviona finally said yes to him and she married him.

"I will never stop doing something extravagant like this for you Darling," Martin told as he drank from his own glass. Aviona was looking pretty tonight, prettier than she had ever been and Martin knew she was genuinely happy. "You like it pretty much?"

"Yes," She admitted and smiled at him, "Specially because I had a good day at the office,"

"Good," Martin's answer to her words came bland and Aviona noticed it.

"Did something bad happened in MChan?" His wife turned to him with a hint of worry in her deep ink eyes.

"Nothing really," Martin sighed, "Just had a board meeting today and you know how board meetings ended. Very exhausting,"

"Perhaps I shall give you a massage at home," Aviona suggested while reaching a hand to his face. Martin had grown. His once young face turned matured now, but he still was good looking, far good looking than any other businessmen in their country.

"I'd very much like that," Martin took her hand that was caressing his cheeks and kissed it and smile with a devious grin, "Specially what comes after next,"

"Don't tease me," Aviona replied, swaying off his proposal, "You know I have a very important meeting tomorrow,"

Martin only laughed at his wife. "My ever-busy wife," He commented after and kissed Aviona's head, "So what great thing happened in your office today?"

"Well, I'm so happy because I finally get to expand the mobile clinics I have in Africa," Aviona was very pleased to share it with Martin. Aviona's companies funded a couple of charity works and the big portion it was for the free mobile clinics in Africa which Aviona was obsessing on for the last couple of years. Martin was aware that her passion for it came from Melvin, and that most of Aviona's plans and projects in the Leigh Group of Companies was mostly fueled by Melvin's legacies and lifeworks.

"Great, I'm glad that you'd finally did the thing," Martin complimented her. "But I hope you wouldn't be leaving for Africa soon, I tend to miss you a lot when you are abroad,"

"No, not now," Aviona promised him. "I'm not going anywhere for the next six months so you can have me all for yourself." Aviona turned to give him a wink as she lifted her glass for another drink.

"Thank you," Martin was so grateful with her announcement. When they started off their relationship, Martin wasn't expecting too much from his wife. All he wanted was her YES and nothing else. He promised Aviona he won't be a distraction and that he will not slow her down from whatever she wished to pursue and yet, Aviona from time to time made sure she had time for him and this small effort warms Martin's heart.

"You have nothing to thank me for," Aviona told her husband, "It's my obligation as your wife to care and make time for you,"

"I already told you before Aviona," Martin pressed onto her, "Just love me with what you can give. That for me is enough,"

"Oh Martin," Aviona looked at his husband lovingly, with guilt in his eyes. "You are such a good and patient husband that sometimes I felt like I don't deserve you,"

"You deserve me in every ways Aviona," Martin assured her.

"Well, since its our wedding anniversary, why don't we plan a vacation," Aviona smiled at him thoroughly knowing he will be very pleased with it.

"Are you serious with that? I mean how about your office?" Martin hesitated knowing how busy his wife was.

"I can make arrangements," Aviona answered, "I just came to think that probably its time we finally get that baby you always wanted,"

Martin was really surprised with Aviona's revelation. He had obviously always wanted a child but since Aviona was too busy the past few years, he didn't pressure her much of having one and so the news did brighten up his evening to the highest extent. He ran to Aviona's side and embraced his wife with a wide smile.

"Oh Aviona, you don't have any idea how happy I am," Martin hollered at her face and kissed her right after. It was such a wonderful night for him.
