The Richmond Ranch had never been so bright from the moment Dr. Miles' grandchildren reunited. The family's intended short vacation was spent on fixing everything in the ranch. Huzey together with the old carpenters of the ranch did some carpentry on the Grey Cottage and the stables while Ziggy was on the field with the laborers, they were cutting off grasses and discussing among themselves what to plant and what not to as the season demanded. Xhemin then helped on talking to their old suppliers and laborers with Father Angus, as the latter will be their farm manager. Ang, on the other hand, was cleaning off his old strawberry field together with Willow as both planned to re-plant strawberries there while Wolfe and lady Portia sat on Xhemin's old lab discussing their most recent read.
"What is the title of that book dear?" Lady Portia asked the boy who was currently reading her out loud some beautiful chants and poetries. Although life in Richmond ranch was far simpler than she used to, the old lady adapted to their new environment very well. She loved the air and serenity in Hampshire as well, of course, the breathtaking view of nature. Besides, she really didn't have to worry so much when it came to their daily routine because Xhemin was very considerate of her needs. Her grandniece was even in the process of meeting some architects to expand the grey cottage to suit her needs and the children's comfort.

"The lullabies of Puente De Amor," Wolfe proudly uttered. Ever since they migrated to the country, Wolfe had started collecting every book about the Puente De Amor as he was greatly fascinated by it. "This was written by a princess in the Manggan Tribe and was translated in English. The Ministry of Indigenous Affairs had it published with the tribe's consent,"
"I see. The pieces were beautiful. So full of love and devotion," Lady Portia remarked. She was aware of Wolfe's obsession with Puente De Amor and couldn't help but pity the boy because even though the bridge was almost at their reach, Xhemin and Ziggy wouldn't just allow Wolfe to go and see the bridge. Wolfe was having his series of medication right then and the process was making him tired and sick mostly.
When they started the conversation, Lady Portia noticed that Wolfe's expression suddenly turned serious but instead of asking the boy, she waited for him to open up what's in his mind. She and Wolfe had gotten so close the past few months and they often had serious discussions they only kept to themselves. Lady Portia realized that Wolfe was a very soulful person, and his maturity was way too high for his age.
"Grandma," The old lady gave Wolfe her full attention when he called for her. There was a bit of hesitation in Wolfe's eyes but he eventually gave in, knowing that his grandmother will surely not tell anyone about his thoughts, "Who was the woman behind the story of the Puente De Amor?"
Lady Portia was aware of the story but it was unclear whether Wolfe had already found out about the Lagdameo heir and Xhemin's relationship so she chooses to answer rather lightly, "I'm not getting what you are asking dear,"

"I was asking whether it's true it was built by the Lagdameo heir for my Imma," Wolfe went all the way and Lady Portia braced herself by sipping up a cup of tea.
"What do you think?" Lady Portia returned the question. She didn't really want to give Wolfe some affirmation but from how the boy was very curious about it, she knew he was not far from the truth.
"I think they love each other very much," Wolfe uttered in a way that caught all of lady Portia's heart. She suddenly admired how Wolfe, at his young age, could talk about love rather seriously as if it was something sacred. Although the boy didn't utter much, only a person who knew the very nature of love could see through everything and conclude the way Wolfe had it.
"And how did you come to such a conclusion, my boy?" Lady Portia put down her cup and sighed deeply as she gave Wolfe a thorough look.
"I can tell. Like when we were at the Loch, they looked at each other in a different way and whenever the Lagdameo heir's name popped out suddenly in our discussion, mommy's eyes turned sad," Wolfe relayed thoughtfully.
"Also, when I speak about Puente De Amor to Imma, she always ended up being caught off something...like she suddenly remembered a beautiful memory that would never happen again. Then she turns really sad," Wolfe continued expressing his thoughts, "And reading through this book, the healer that the princess speaks off fits very well with mommy's description. Dada once told me mommy went to the island, so it means she was the first woman to go there. I learned from Puente De Amor's history that it was built for the Lagdameo woman, the first woman to step into the island. I can only assume it was mommy, of course, books don't usually lie,"
"Have you talked about these things to your mom?" Lady Portia was then alarmed of how substantive was the information Wolfe had gathered about the bridge, including Darryl and Xhemin's past.
"No, I'd rather not tell," Wolfe answered honestly.
"And why is that?"
"I don't want to make her more sad. She's sad enough already," Wolfe answered Lady Portia with a sigh. ***Wolfe thought that Xhemin had her reasons for not telling him and his sister about her connection with the Puente De Amor and more so her connection with the Lagdameo heir. He knew, as his Dada had constantly reminded him, that their mommy had gone through a hard time to keep all of them safe and he could only assume that the Lagdameo heir was part of all those struggles. That was the reason Wolfe wasn't very open to Xhemin about his discovery and he trusted her grandma wouldn't tell. He had told her many secrets already that she faithfully kept and so he was confident, like all of the other secrets he told her, she'll just keep this hidden in her heart.
