Franco Lagdameo was full of his thoughts. He was sitting on his boss chair inside their hideout waiting for someone and while he did, his fist was shaking tremendously as he remembered the time his nephew, the Lagdameo heir, gave him a visit. That day was simply nerve-wrecking and his temperament after that was too bad to mention. However, such visit also give him some hope that somehow, when he will be able to find the man Darryl and his wife were looking for, he could finally let go of his mistakes in the past, but things weren't as easy as he thought.

The last few days, he made extra effort and summoned many of his men to go and dig up some inside information about what happened six years ago—outside and inside his syndicate. Of course, as what he expected, he found nothing suspicious as he knew the person behind it was very good in cleaning his mess, not even him could follow his previous tracks. However, while digging up a six year long case, Franco found something unrelated to the person they were looking for, but it was thoroughly disturbing that Franco himself had hard time accepting the facts. The same information torn him apart and right then he just didn't know where to stand on it.

"She's here," The door suddenly opened, and Lumus, one of his men appeared to announce the arrival of the person he was waiting for. Soon, a familiar beautiful face appeared in front of him, with her usual wavy caramel hair that used to be so short.

"You summoned me Mr. F?" Dannah Samuelle walked toward his uncle in her usual poise. She wore a leather jacket and black tight pants, something she usually wore when she was still actively participating in their underground activities but something she didn't used more often now. After the fall of L Empire, Dannah took a consented leave in the syndicate to attend to L Empire and Franco didn't have problems with that. However, every now and then, he summons Dannah for errands that only her he could trust.

"Sam," Franco cleared of his throat as he looked at Dannah thoroughly. He scanned through her, hoping he could see through her or even read her mind. He just hoped that, whatever was running at the back of Dannah's brain, it has nothing to do with the Lagdameo heir's misery.

"Yes Mr. F?" Dannah noticed the indifference from Franco's gaze yet she tried to keep calm about it and hoped it was nothing to do with her.

Franco heaved a sighed then straightened his back. "We received reports that Scar is here,"

"And?" Dannah retorted without any hint of emotion in her face. "What does his appearance have anything to do with me?"

"C'mon child, we all know how close you are to him," Franco pressed in. Scar was an escapee from their syndicate and someone like him needed to be brought back to the hideout to face the consequences of them leaving the syndicate as every syndicate have this one ultimate rule—once you join in, you can never leave—unless you are dead. "I��m sure one of these days, he'll come and see you"

"He is an escapee. We do not forgive anyone who leaves our team," Dannah uttered words she herself do not believe in. Her continued friendship with Scar is forbidden, yet it was something she cannot gave up so she said lies to cover up her betrayal to their team.

"Scar used to be our top agent and he holds information that can break and make us. With this, I hope you fully understood why it is necessary to bring Scar back here and to silence him," Franco reasoned although it was not needed. He is the big boss in the syndicate and someone like him, need no reason to do things he desired, including wiping out every individual that is a threat to L Empire.

"It had been six years Mr. F since Scar left, and in fairness with the man, he kept his words that he will not be using and selling any information he knew inside our syndicate," Dannah slightly persuaded her uncle to give Scar the pass so they all could move on from his actions of leaving them. She understood fully well why her uncle wanted to capture Scar—he was after all his best agent and team player. Scar was very good in his job and he does it perfectly clean that for years, he had been Franco's best assets. However one day, Scar just decided to leave for good and Franco lost one of his best men with that and his pride was hurt.

"We have rules and Scar broke it. I can't just let him pass or else, everyone will think they can just easily bend the rules," Franco disagreed immediately.

"Then good luck looking for him," Dannah smiled inwardly with pride knowing full well that Scar was far from being caught. Even when he was still working with Franco, Scar had always been ahead from everyone and so Dannah was very confident no one can touch Scar, not even Franco himself. "It had been six years and not a single one of us had seen him closely. Anyways, was Scar the reason why you had called for me? Because if that's the case, then you are wasting your time,"

Franco didn't answer immediately which left Dannah hanging. While anticipating for the answer, she end up looking at him and saw how his hazel eyes faltered for a bit. Dannah knew then something was wrong and she chilled knowing full well that whatever was her uncle had in mind, it surely involved her. Does her uncle know about her hiding Scar away?

"No Sam, Scar wasn't the reason why you are here," Franco's constant sighed bothered Dannah greatly but she felt instant relief knowing that Scar was now out of topic because Franco just told her it wasn't Scar he was after about.
