Max feigned complete calmness while returning her gaze.
Seeing his confident expression, she spoke as sadness covered her features.
"You remember that girl who kicked you yesterday?"
Hearing her question, the image of a black-haired beauty entered his eyes and he nodded at her.
She gritted her teeth before she spoke further.
"Today, she was kidnapped and I wasn't able to do anything, instead I was saved while she was taken away." Her eyes became wet. But she managed to restrain them.
…
Elly didn't know why she was even speaking to that strange guy. But for some reason, a sense of familiarity made her want to trust him.
"If they managed to do something like that, doesn't that mean that they are strong? Do you think you can rescue your friend alone? Besides, do you have any idea where to look for her?"
Max's commanding voice forced her to think about her actions.
'But I can't sit without doing anything. At least, I need to try. If I don't, how could I even face Lisa?'
Stealing her resolve, she replied to him with determination.
"I won't get into any trouble. I will just look for their trail. If I find it, I will immediately seek help. I am not a fool. So, you should stay out of my way and keep your mouth shut."
As she spoke, she let out her aura. she needed to scare that guy away. she had no idea how strong he was. she couldn't sense his power level. But the way he kept calm, he must not be that bad.
…
'Damn it!'
As the terrifying pressure descended, Max felt his legs sink in the ground. But he maintained his stance with a smile even though his back was drenched in sweat.

"Fine, you can go," Max said in a calm manner.
With that, the aura slowly seeps back into her body and she turns around towards the wall.
'Chance!'
As her back appeared into his sight, he moved without hesitation while pulling his dagger out.
'Sorry Miss. But, don't blame me. I know very well how easy it is to get into trouble.'
Sensing him approaching, she slowly turned around. But that was too late. If that was a real battle, her death was set the moment she let her guard down.
Before she could fully turn, Max was already on her back. Without giving her any chance, he turned his dagger and, using its hilt, he brought down a heavy chop on her head.
'Bang!'
'Ah!'
She lets out a loud groan of pain before she passes out.
'Shit!'
'Did I hit too hard?'
He put his fingers below her nose to check her breathing.
"Huff."
Feeling her breathe, he let out a sigh.
He didn't do anything wrong. If she couldn't deal with a thing like that, how can she even think about trailing those guys?
Besides, that could be counted as his apology for the earlier two incidents.
"I heard a scream, let's check that place."
"Yeah, I heard it too."
Hearing the voices, Max gave her a last look before leaving with a sentence.
"I will save her."
...
As He walked back towards his dorms, some thoughts kept revolving in his mind.
So that girl got kidnapped too.
He didn't know if she even needed to be rescued. With her temper, they may send her back themselves.
'All right, jokes aside.'
'What do I do?'
He had leads, but that has become too big for him to handle.

Even though he just said all that to the blonde girl, he can't pull himself back because of that system, then that he had accepted the quest.
'Beep!'
'Beep!'
Hearing the alert, he looked in the air. But failing to find any notification. He asked the system.
'Have you finally gone insane?'
«Reporting to Host, It is the Host's inability to remember that Host has turned the alert off »
«Suggestion : • Check your phone
• Increase your Intelligence.»
Tsk!
'I will really expend any amount of FP to get your attitude changed.'
«Checking for Host's request....»
Seeing the notification window, happiness swelled out from the bottom of his heart, only to be crushed with another notification.
«Request Denied»
His brows twitched, He controlled himself from letting out curses.
Tsk.
Closing all the notification windows, He took out his phone.
As He read the message, a smile formed on his face.

The Deathseeker [Under Revision]
NOTE: This story has dark elements, but it's neither grimdark nor particularly edgy. It's also currently being revised. Satan's Axe...Lord of High Honor...The Immortal Giant...The Black Maelstrom...Son of Thunderfield...The Gods' Retribution. Dalric had many names. None were as fitting as his last, Dalric the Deathseeker. Born from an unwanted mating between the greatest warriors of the time, death was his only true kin. It birthed him, molded him, and now standing in the middle of a lifeless battlefield, it drenched him. The blood of thousands of soldiers soaked his skin. Two hundred thousand men approached him that day. All of them sought his life, none of them left with theirs. But they would not die in vain, they had accomplished their mission. Hidden beneath a thousand layers of their blood, was Dalric's very own. Feeling his life fade, he gazed weakly at his work. A seemingly endless array of corpses laid battered and disfigured before him. Some bore faces of horror, most had no face at all. His most trusted companion floated in front of him, blocking the view. Waves of sorrow flowed between them. “My time has finally come. I’ve begged for death and it’s finally arrived. My work is done...and so is yours. You’re free to be who you were meant to.” With his contract with the gods fulfilled, they were truly free. The centuries of torment would end. No longer would they have to walk the path of a monster. Little did Dalric know, the devil was in the details. What To Expect: A good time. In a few more words than that, a cast of believable characters in a unique world dealing with conflicts and problems a little bit more complex than punching the big evil guy in the face. Just a little though. Minimum Word Count a Week: 5000 Release Time(s): Between Friday 12pm EST and Monday 6am EST I also write A King in the Clouds

Witch Hunt. A Warhammer Fiction
The adventures of Adebar von Bolstedt continue!Adebar von Bolstedt, fugitive noble scion of the Empire, stuck in the Great Forest of Talabecland, is gravely wounded by the bestial denizens of the dark wintery woods, only surviving due to the timely arrival of aid and relief in the form of the masters of this land. What begins as a pleasant stay with the wild noblemen of Talabecland soon becomes a matter of faith and tradition as old as the Empire itself, when he finds himself trying to root out a coven of witches from a society that prides itself on rural living and knowledge of the mysteries of the wild. This quest will either see von Bolstedt's shaken faith in his own god reforged into an intolerant blade, or shattered like ice. Word from the AuthorGreetings! Witch Hunt plays out in the much beloved Warhammer Fantasy setting (owned, of course, by Games Workshop). Do not fret, however, as I've made it a point to make the story digestible even to the uninitiated, and maybe even be a good introduction to the setting. This is the second part of the adventures of Adebar von Bolstedt, as such I recommend reading part one, titled "The Hand of Sigmar" first. While I cannot claim the places, concepts and gods etc. mentioned within as my own, the story and all characters flowed from my own fingers.

Curiosity
This is the story of a broken man in a broken world. Only, he knows his situation, but the world does not. He never got to live the life he wanted, instead being taken prisoner by an evil group, tortured and being used, until one day he died. Now, he has come back in time with his knowledge for the future, determined to live his life as he wanted in this nefarious, magic world. Through any means possible. ------------------ Now the actual synopsis. This is a world of magic, beasts and myriads of races. The protagonist, Lukas, is a man with a twisted personality, having become like that after being used by the big people, and is now ready to say 'fuck it' and live in freedom. He dies, goes back in time, but uses his knowledge to steal, kill, and use anything he can to become stronger. May he succeed. ++++++++++++++ For the first few chapters there will be two per week, each at about 4-5k words (it settles at 4k from about chapter 9). This is my first novel, but I quite like it and I hope you do too. While I would like you to be gentle, please give any criticism you have.
