"Don't look at me like that? I saved you…" Axel said as he looked at Erina who had finally regained enough control over her body to sit up straight on the ground.

Erina continued to glare at Axel but the fact that he had helped her made it difficult for her to hold a grudge against him. But she still felt that she had been taken advantage of...hence it was difficult to let go of the anger.

In the end, she could only glare at him.

"Do you have any antidotes? I wasted one on you….if you have please give it to me…" Axel asked as he looked at her.

Erina trembled, her eyes almost spewing fire, "I only managed to get one antidote for the Blood Eating Bat's poison…."

"Those people from Orca were vicious...they actually wiped out the stock of antidotes…still I have other antidotes but they are not as effective as the real antidote.."

Axel feigned ignorance as he nodded his head. He even said a few words about how much trouble he had to go through to get those antidotes. It even made Erina's anger to subside a bit..

"Where is my backpack?" Erina suddenly realised that her stuff was missing.

"Didn't you burn it to ashes?" Axel asked as he looked at her.

"Impossible!! I have prepared it with special leather. It can bear my flames...I clearly remember taking it into the building to change my clo-" Erina suddenly stopped and looked at Axel. "I left it outside the bathroom…."

"Forget it, I am not going to take it back...use that cloak until you find your teammates…" Axel said as he waved his hand.

"How can I stay like this...lend me your clothes…" Erina retorted as she slowly climbed up onto her feets.

"I only brought two pairs….what am I supposed to wear if I give it to you…" Axel hesitated.

"I am grateful that you saved me. But you have taken advantage of me as well. So give me the clothes and I will write it off…"

Axel frowned. She really was going to put it like that now….but it was better if he went with her. He was worried that she might hold a grudge and even worse if she brought it up to Wilson.

He was just trying to save his precious Mio-chan and nothing else….he didn't want any trouble honestly...

"Fine, I will give it to you….but you will never bring this up to anyone…." Axel nodded as he took out his clothes and passed it to her.

"Why would I bring it up? I want to burry this incident more than anyone else. Besides, it's not like we will be seeing each other in the future….thank god….you are a stranger otherwise it would have really been awkward if it was with someone I knew…..I might even have killed you hurry it off..." Erina said with a frown. But it was difficult to tell whether the last line was a joke or not.

Axel looked at her. If he rationally thought than she was not joking. She was Wilson's sister after all.

They were certainly not at the level of total strangers. But it was not far away from that, she had nothing to do with them…they wouldn't be seeing her anyway…so it wasn't a problem..

"Get out of here...I want to change…"

Axel looked at her as his face twitched, "The bats are flying all around. You want me to go out…you really are…."

He calmed himself down before reaching his snapping point and then looked at her, "Sorry but I am not going anywhere. And it's not like there is anything new to see…"

"Y-You!!! What did you say?!"

"I said I am turning around, so go ahead and change…" Axel said as he turned his back towards Erina.

Erina glared at him. She clearly heard something different earlier….

"I have my eyes on you. If you dare to turn around I will burn you alive.. " She warned him before changing her clothes with her eyes on him.

In another place…

"A bit more and I should be able to get it back to working…but I should save the batteries of my flashlight...or it will be troublesome later..." Valko wiped his sweat as he sat down.

He was one of the luckiest guys to be transported into a safe location. It was an underground parking area. There were a lot of cars around and even a large generator.

Valko had his suspicions and after looking around a bit, he found an elevator. But it wasn't working. Still he could see that there weren't any obstructions in the elevator duct, meaning that the building was still standing tall.

He ran around finding the stairs and had searched through the entire floors after tiring himself to death.

It turned out to be one of the biggest skyscrapers in the city. It was a luxurious hotel.

The place even had defense mechanisms. The entire place was under lockdown most likely a precautions against the horde when it struck the city. Hence, Valko couldn't find the exit.

He had to look for the control room in order to unlock all the exits. But due to lack of power, nothing was working.

Hence he decided to fix the generator in the parking lot and try to get the power on using the fuel from the cars in the parking lot to make an escape.

This guy had no idea about one thing. He was lucky for not falling into immediate danger but on an overall, he was f*cked…

He had fallen in the second worst place in the trial. This place came under the mission to secure the area and was crawling with beasts…

The moment he managed to unlock the place, he would be dead. If the security cameras had been working, he might have already forfeited by now after looking at what was going around.

"I should sleep now. I can't see anything in the dark anyway…" Valko muttered as he laid down to rest.

…..

The next morning arrived….

"Let's get going…'' the headmaster said as he looked at everyone.

"I still have to wait for another day..…" Wilson clicked his tongue.

"It's only a day….we will take care of it until then.. " Max said as he looked at him.

"August….take care...and.. " Max said as he gestured towards Wilson asking him to keep an eye on him and not let him go crazy.

"Leave it to me…" August said with a smile.

"Be careful...I heard some of the stronger ones are going in today…" Riser said as he looked at Max.

Max nodded in reply.

"What are you so nervous about? Did you forget the things we have done were more dangerous than this..'' Max put his hand over Lisa's head when he saw her acting weird.

"I am not nervous due to that…." Lisa shook her head.

"Then what is it?" Max asked in confusion.

"W-What will one do if some wants to use the restroom?'' Lisa asked as she looked at him nervously. She hadn't thought about it until now.

"Well, accept the nature... I guess…" Max replied with a smile.

Lisa's face twitched, "But isn't being alone dangerous... we might not even be able to react in that situation."

"Do you want me to come with you then? I will protect you while you relieve yourself.." Max couldn't help but let his bad habit of teasing to resurface when provided with such a golden opportunity.

"Y-You!!...." Lisa pinched his side in anger while blushing furiously.
