Falling For Miss Captain : LOVE Vs DUTY Chapter 8

By the time Prince Felix reached the Shine Hotel, it was only 10:30 a.m. He glanced at his watch and realized that there was still thirty minutes left. Then he let out a light chuckle.
As a future King of Edeladon, his entire life was filled with meeting people. But no other meeting could made him excited to this extent!
Though a minute felt like a day for him, he was willing to be the one who did the waiting, if it was for that woman who suddenly entered his life in the least expected time.
He was so eager to the point where he felt time pass so slowly at the exact day. But he somehow regret for coming so early. Time pass by so slow that it was a complete torture for him, especially for his heart!
Why won't his heart be still today? The rapid thumping of his heart would be able to drive him crazy!
Will she, too, be excited to meet him again? He really hoped so. But may be he was wrong.
Ten, twenty, thirty minutes had passed and it was time for their meeting. But the woman in question was nowhere to be seen.
Felix thought that she might be caught up with something; so he waited again. With each minute passes, his hope was fading bit by bit. His eagerness was slowly replaced by anxiousness.
By the time the clock struck 12, all his hopes were gone.
He hurried to the hotel room where Yelena stayed. As he nervously keeps on glancing the floor number displayed on the elevator, he realized that he was more than afraid to lose her! He thought that he simply liked her; but he was wrong.
He could barely catch his breath when he reached Yelena's hotel room; but all he saw was a hotel worker who cleaned up the room.

She was not there.
What shocked Felix the most was the fact that all her belongings were gone too. He stood dazed, not knowing what to do.
"How can I help you, Sir?" The hotel worker approached him and asked him politely.
Felix's eyes swept around the empty room. "Where is the woman who stay here?" His voice was full of anxiousness.
"She checked out in the morning."
The hotel worker's response was like a thunder struck for Felix! He tried his best to look calm but it was like impossible.
"Did you know why? Or did she leave any message?" Felix asked with a last glint of hope.
"I'm afraid not, Sir. But she seemed to board a plane."
Felix could feel his heart crumbled! How could this happen? They agreed to meet up and exchange their phone numbers; but now she's gone.
Did something happen to her?
Or was she just playing with him? But he didn't think so. Much more like he refused to believe it.
He hold a grip of himself and stepped out of the room as he take out his phone and make a call.
"Look at the information of all the flights that depart today morning and see if there is a passenger named Macy." He ended the call right away. Then he stormed out of the hotel like a ferocious beast determined to hunt down his prey.

1 Hour Later
"Your Highness, I checked all the passengers information as you ordered, but..." Cayden trailed off as he examined his Prince's reaction. The latter sit still in his hotel room with a stoic expression.
The anxious man before was gone and in his place was a determined man who would stop at nothing to hunt down the woman whom he thought was playing with his feelings.

"Carry on." Prince Felix responded.
"There was no passenger named Macy." Cayden finished his words. The Prince calm demeanor made him anxious.
He was already at the Prince's side for quite a long time and he knew him too well. The more calm he was, the more unpredictable he became! He always put up a friendly attitude but once provoked, he could become your worst nightmare!
"Then there are only two possibilities. She never board a plane or..." Prince Felix shifted his gaze to his right hand man and a malicious smile plastered his handsome face. "Her name was never Macy."
"Are you saying she gave you the wrong name?" Cayden asked with his eyes grew wide open.
"It's no big deal. I did the same." Prince Felix calmly replied. "But tracking her down with these wrong information will be a challenging task. Almost impossible."
"Then what will you do?"
"I won't give up." Felix scanned all the business files piling up next to him. "Reschedule all my meetings. We will leave for Silveren earlier than planned."
"Yes, Your Highness. When will we leave?" Cayden asked curiously.
"Tomorrow afternoon. Reschedule all my meetings before then. I don't care if I have to attend meetings after meetings without a break. I just want it done as soon as possible." Felix instructed.
After Cayden leave to comply with his orders, Felix was all alone in his huge hotel room. The beautiful smile of Yelena lingered on his imagination.
He was so eager to track her down. But one thing bothered him. Her name was fake; but what if her country also turned out to be fake? Will he be able to find her then?
Throughout his life, he was always a man with confidence. If he was determined to do something, he would always achieve it. But somehow this woman made his confidence wavered. He even feel scared!
Maybe that woman was too good at lying. But how could he possibly complain? He too, did the same.
'I don't care who you are or what your name is. Just wait for a while. I'll find you no matter what. Then when that time comes, it will be your turn to give me an explanation.'

The Ingress Estate
Jonathon Eucole. Soldier. Scholar. Now an Initiate, the dedication without dedication, he finds himself both prisoner and master of an arcane edifice, the Ingress Estate, which can neither be escaped, nor controlled; only diverted, maintained, and pacified. This is a gothic fantasy story, set in a world in which gods and the afterlife are not only real and known, but were both established in living memory of some of the inhabitants after millennia of arcane warfare with the being who constructed the mundane reality the humans occupy. But this isn't the story of those who colonized the afterlife at the cost of their own humanity, but a somewhat more ordinary man, in somewhat extraordinary circumstances. This is also a LitRPG-lite, which means there's a system of sorts, fragments of which can be observed through Jonathon's eyes. Don't expect level-up screens, or statistics, or indeed numbers much at all, beyond those the inhabitants of the world itself apply to understanding their own reality. It pretty much doesn't matter to the story, I mention it so those who don't want to read LitRPG at all can successfully avoid it here. I don't have any particular plan here, just some ideas inherent in the genre. This is a character concept I toyed with some years ago; an old man, bright of mind but weighed down into apathy, both by his past and his responsibilities for a terrible estate that cannot be left without stewardship. Don't expect any kind of overarching plot or story, because that's really not what this is about. Also don't expect much dialogue. Or character development. Or much of anything, really, because I've planned nothing in the way of an actual book, here. Other relevant information, if you've read this far for some reason: The MC isn't super-powerful to begin with, and probably never will be. He's a veteran with some useful skills, and the insight on how to use them, so can deal with the world's ordinary threats reasonably well, but not too much beyond that. --- Currently on hiatus, as currently the story has a rather poor ratio of effort-to-personal-payoff. I may return to this once I have a clear idea of how to get the stories where I want them. I've started a more standard LitRPG using the same system. But if you like intelligence characters who cleverly min-max their classes, it probably isn't the story for you; it's the story of a rather ordinary guy who winds up in a very similar universe.
