We made a mistake.

While it was not as grave as to define our futures, but despite all the efforts we put into keeping our relationship with Lucia a secret, falling asleep and making her stay in our room for the entire night, rendered all of our previous attempts worthless. It wasn't hard to deduce what was going on from her casual visits in our place, but there wasn't any definite proof for it, giving her at least a bit of leeway in figuring out an excuse for her coworkers, but now, everyone knew that she gave herself to me with certainty!

In an attempt to take responsibility for this mishap, the moment that we woke up, I fed her with enough energy and information to make her finally reach the pinnacle of the mortal realm, the spirit attainment level. While I could easily peer into her cultivation to gauge what kind of spirituality did she obtain, the wish to respect at least this tiny amount of her privacy prevented me from doing so.

Considering how our relationship turned to be a public secret already, it would only add spice to the topic if her cultivation remained the same as it was before! While she could still temper her aura down to the mind menace level thanks to the ability I bestowed upon her, I guess there were people who already knew that she broke through that rank long ago!

After talking this matter through, we finally managed to convince Lucia to give up her current work at the first moment she could do so without facing the wrath of her manager, for the sake of following us for the time being. During the remaining two days, I continued to harvest the energy from both of the girls, and this time I didn't wait to invest the points that I gathered. At some point, I even pitied myself for being so overpowered, when I learned that Eve was able to feel the changes in such sublime things like temperature or the speed of the wind in her immediate surroundings, but I guess that's the price I have to pay for being peerless.

Even if this isn't something outright understandable, ability to sense the smallest changes of the temperature just a meter away from one's body is the very first thing that exceeded the scientific approach of mine. You could argue that my fireballs or even the cultivation itself were unscientific, but with so many fantasy novels stored in my memories, I had more than a hundred explanations for every phenomenon occurring in this world so far.

But sensing the temperature changes? While I never excelled in the field of physic or general science, I spend a lot of my time on earth watching various videos tackling those topics, unable to sate my sheer curiosity. Starting with one Mytube video, turning to the entire channel, then to various sponsored services like curiosityriver or other streaming platforms… It was only thanks to them that I knew that temperature was in fact just speed or rather intensity of particles vibration!

One could say that it could be derived from quantum physic, where terms like distance, time or causality lost their meaning, but that wouldn't change what I said since I clearly admit to being unable to understand this! I wonder how some real scientist would react if he were to be transported to such cultivation or another isekai world!

With our cultivation raised all the way to the third stage, I didn't forget to teach Eve the spirit concealment ability, realising that she would do a far better job at driving it than me. Even though two days of vacation sounded nice, in the end, we spent it at nothing else but fucking around and finding new and new ways to utilize the furniture and the room structure to create more and more creative positions!

Didn't she know that I came up with the auction house initiative only to humiliate both Dracons and Katenaris? If that were to be the case, I would have to recalculate my odds for sticking with her! For now, though, I had to swallow my doubts and hope that she only tried directly the attention of the crowd surrounding us away from the matter of Lucia, that was sure to surface on the coming trial!
