As soon as I said my first piece, I manipulated my aura a bit to dissipate Eve's spell. As it was one of the things that allowed the smoke to stay for so long, the moment it disappeared, a single cast of weak shockwave was enough to push all the smoke away and reveal my person on the stage.

How often do you see the auction having another part to it, that wasn't officially announced? While everyone knew that things like that happened, it was mostly an event settled between interested parties that were able to fork out enough money to compete against each other without the common folk bothering them or trying to pry into their matters!

The price suddenly jumped from the entire thousand that was the starting bit for a pack of incredibly rare Calmwater Relaxing Pill, to five hundred for a single item! While calculating the difference, one had to remember that the pack included whooping five pills that were able to calm one's inner demons allowing for a smoother breakthrough to enriching essence realm, while this bracelet would shatter after only three attacks while costing two and a half as much as a single pill!

But that was the price between this distinctive difference of a chance that was offered by pills and guarantee offered by the item. One could manage to raise his cultivation with those pills, even if it was unlikely that a single one would suffice. This response was just a part of the tactic that we decided on with Venna when thinking about what to do if no one would believe us. If no one would dare to bid for more than ten seconds after I showed the first product, an expert hired from Heavenly Sect core branch that was located far away from the city, would pose to be some haughty guy, trying to stir up some trouble. It was all planned!

Not even bothering to come up with something original, I simply followed the text that Venna forced me to learn beforehand. Knowing what would happen, I simply took the bracelet in my hand and infused it with my mana. In a small flash, a semitransparent barrier appeared in front of me, forming a half-cylinder around me. Before long, the hired expert who had his cultivation lowered to the enriching essence level, attacked.

Just as expected, despite clearly and openly infusing his fist with all his current might, his attack stopped right when it touched the lightly shining area between me and his fist. As if unable to believe what happened, he continued to smash hist fist over and over again, quickly exceeding more than a hundred attacks!

While this man knew that this barrier could sustain entire three hits of his full power, he was ordered to try to break it down with just as many moves. But he wasn't told, that there was another ploy hidden within this small trick!

If this man knew about it beforehand, he would never be able to show such a genuine look of bewilderment and disbelief on his face!

Stopping the man by raising my hand, I waited for a second before he calmed down and deactivated the shield.

Before I even finished my words, a lone cultivator that managed to stay behind under the scene suddenly raised his hand and shouted his price. And here I was going to say that we won't auction it!
