Jenny looked a bit awkward as she replied....

"That...we went to the mall today and sister met mom in law....and and..."

Bolin nodded as he understood what Jenny wanted to say.

Xiao Ai bit her lip. It would be nice if that was what happened but in the ladies...she had...towards her mother in law..she had....

Abruptly she stood up and gave a full bow.

"Mom in law I was wrong. I am very sorry. I will accept whatever punishment there is."

Second Mrs Gu wanted to laugh seeing her seriousness and awkward stance, but she maintained a stern face and asked in an arrogant tone.

"Are you saying am the type of mother in law that would intentionally make things difficult for her daughter in law?"

Xiao Ai knew her mom in law was intentionally making things difficult for her but she dared not voice out. Who would have thought that one day, the She-devil herself would have to apologize to someone.

"No..no..that's..."

"So what are you saying? Are you saying am lying?!" Second Mrs Gu shouted slamming her hands on the table.

Gu Bojing and Bolin was surprised and they stared at Xiao Ais shaky figure. Gu Bojing helped her raise her head and by this time, her face was almost red probably because the blood had rushed to her face.

Second Mrs Gu couldn't help to shout at her again and asked softly. "What did you do that needed forgiveness?"

Xiao Ai controlled her shaky voice and said." I...I...towards mom in law I wasn't very polite this evening at the mall. In the ladies I took money from mom in law....i..."

Second Mrs Gu slowly sipped her tea as she stared at Xiao Ai. "Ok enough...I can't help it. I have scared you enough child seat..i was only joking. Playing the role of a wicked mother in law doesn't fit me." she then cracked a smile.

Xiao Ai cracked a smile and checked her expression and truly the old lady wasn't angry at all. Instead her eyes gleamed with amusement. Only then did she seat.

"So what did you buy?" she asked and then quickly added. "With the money you got from me."

Xiao Ai scratched the back of her head and awkwardly passed her the bag.

Second Mrs Gu checked the scarf. Truly Xiao Ais taste is exquisite. But she already had this particular scarf in this same color. She didn't let Xiao Ai know and instead said she liked it.

"You have a very good taste. Just like the skirt you brought me. This is so beautiful. Dear, let me know if Ah Jing bullies you. Ok?"

Xiao Ai looked over to Bolin. Can she complain about Bolin too?

"Am glad you like it mom." Xiao Ai felt relaxed.

"Bolin is your brother, if he does something wrong don't hesitate to punish him."

Xiao Ai smiled and drank her tea giving Bolin a provocative look. It spoke 'you are in trouble'

Bolin grumbled and grumpily drank his tea. Because it was rushed it burned his tongue so he stuck out his tongue to fan it. Xiao Ai saw this and was disgusted by him.

"You fool...don't you have table manners? Are you forever an idiot... How could...." Xiao Ai remembered that she wasn't at home and quickly shut her mouth. "I mean, brother in law be more careful next time."

Second Elder Gu and Mrs Gu laughed and gave Bolin a pitiful look.

"Mom what exactly happened?" Bojing asked curious about how Xiao Ai had gotten money from his mother.

Xiao Ai tugged his sleeve under the table. Could he not make her more embarrassed? But it seems that everyone was curious about what happened as they eagerly looked at Mrs Gu.

"Well, I investigated Xiao Ais movement today and wanted to make it look like a fated encounter who would have thought..." Mrs Gu said her face a bit red. It was obvious she was shy about saying she had intentionally followed Xiao Ai.

Xiao Ai didn't know this and was surprised. She bashfully looked at her hubby.

Second Mrs Gu continued her explanation. All there was at the table was Laughter and smiles. Xiao Ais ears were red throughout the conversation. Her parents in law were very easy to get along with. From her view, it seemed that Bolin was even closer to them than Bojing. Or because Bolin mostly had a lot to gossip about, the same way he had won over her grandmother.

Xiao Ai wondered why Bolin called them mom and dad. Wasn't that witch his mom?

Soon the food was served and Xiao Ai realised that everything was her favorite.

Bolin grunted and glared at his sister in law.

"Mom, dad aren't you being too biased. I am the son why am I being bullied here and there?"

Second Elder Gu and Mrs Gu glanced at Bolin for a while before turning to Xiao Ai with a smile. They filled her plate with lots of food.

"Hmm..that Brother in law, if you get married you will be free of all this." Xiao Ai added picking her chopsticks.
