"Sigh...Little Ai, thank you for being so caring towards your brother in law. That child...I hope he won't bother you much." Mrs Gu added.

Although Xiao Ai didn't know what Gu Bojing had told them, she decided to go with the flow of things.

She softly smiled and scratched her head, awkwardly. "Well, although we are age mates, he's still my brother in law. So as the little mom, I have to look out for him."

Mrs Gu and Mr Gu exchange gazes and then stared at Xiao Ai.

Such rare daughter in law! This way no man in their family would dare to speak carelessly. After all, they had a daughter in law that would beat them up.

Few minutes after Bojing left, Bolin quietly and stiffly walked out of his room. As he glanced at Xiao Ai sitting and peacefully eating, he felt wronged.

Why should he be the one to suffer?

He looked out and made sure his brothers car wasn't in view which meant he had left so he walked to the kitchen, grabbed a cup of cold water placed ice cubes in it and walked towards the dining.

The workers greeted him and dished out his food.

Xiao Ai peered at him from her seat and felt guilty. She could see that his bruises had been tended to.

Xiao Ai was still mulling over how to console him when Bolin spoke up.

"Sister in laws hands seem okay enough to still pick a chop stick." he spoke with a mocking smile and Xiao Ais hand paused on the sweet and sour rib she was about to take.

"Well, brother, how you doing? I was a bit busy so I couldn't apply ointment for you..." she cooed trying to persuade him.

Seeing his face during the day she realised she was a bit too much. His once handsome face was swollen and badly bruised. His lips seem swollen. No doubt he won't be able to eat properly for the next few days.

Bolin dared not tell her that Jenny had come to apply first aid for him for fear that Xiao Ai would go crazy on him again.

At that time, Jenny had slipped into his room with the kit. At first he was scared that she probably liked him and that Xiao Ai would find her in his room and misunderstand again but the little sis had only tended to his wounds and apologized on behalf of her older sister.

"Am sorry about my sisters attitude. She's very protective of me so..." Jenny curled her fingers as she awkwardly sat on the sofa.

Bolin noticed that she seemed to be sweating despite the air conditioning. He reached out a hand to check her forehead but she flinched backwards and slapped his hands off. Her little eyes stared at him wearily, ready to beat him up. Her body was shaking slightly and one could see the dampness of her hands. The goose bumps on her arm contrasted her sweating self.

"Do you have any..." Bolin paused and decided not to make her feel more awkward. "How did you meet that witch sister in law of mine. She's so wicked. An evil beautiful witch. Say small sis in law normally aren't witches supposed to be ugly like in books. You know step mom's are evil ugly and witches are ugly too. But she's pretty. It's confusing!" he lamented.

Jenny sat upright and stared at him with a faint smile at her lips. "What's Confusing?"

"Sis in law! She's very confusing? Shouldn't she be incredibly ugly? Someone might think she's nice since beautiful people are usually nice but she...she's..." he clenched his fists and made a sign in the air of him scratching Xiao Ais face. "witch. She's an evil witch. How could she towards young handsome master. Oh my poor face. Is Hannah like this too?"

Jenny faltered for a while before carefully answering. "Actually, am not an actual MO member. Big sister decided to be my guardian and Biggest sister just returned so I don't really know her that much. Big sister rarely talks about her and even when she does, she's usually scolding her. You know how she is...she's such a character."

That Bolin agreed with. His sister in law was truly a character. She had even robbed him and didn't feel guilty.

"So how did you actually meet such witch? Was it when she asked for your soul?" Bolin probed careful not to trigger whatever she was trying to get over.

Jenny stared ahead for a while. Although, they sat opposite each other and there was the table between them, he could feel that she had her guards up and wasn't very comfortable with him.

"Actually, there's something am testing. I don't want to be a burden to big Sisters." she slowly stood up and walked towards Bolin sides.

Now it was Bolin turn to be scared. He subconsciously shifted aside and stared at her with his arms crossed.

"What..what are you testing?"
