Bolin was a man....He had met Ou Xinyi....

Just when he thought Jenny would walk further, she stopped and sat at the other end of the sofa. She looked at him for a while and took deep breaths.

"I guess this works. At least am not hyper ventilating yet though it's uncomfortable."

Everything she said was foreign to him as he didn't understand what she meant. She shifted closer a bit and closer till there was little space between them. Bolin relaxed and studied her expression. It was obvious she wasn't very comfortable with this so he wondered why she was doing so.

He knew Jenny was the little girl from two years ago. The girl Xiao Ai decided to adopt under her wings. The whole country knew she had impulsively taken the child under her own wings back then after no one showed up to be the family but they didn't know why the little girl was in her department of study.

Even Bolin was curious to know what happened?

Xiao Ai back then was very poor. So poor she couldn't take care of herself and had decided to take care of a young one.

"Brother in law...?"

"Hun... do you need something? Should I increase the temperature or lower it? You are sweating too much." Bolin was concerned that she wasn't feeling well and was also scared that his witch sis would beat him up if Jenny fell sick.

Her voice was very low and shaky but she still spoke without thinking as if afraid she would swallow back her words. "Can I....can I sit directly beside you?"

Bolin was a bit confused." But you are already sitting beside me..ohhh.." before he finished his sentence, Jenny and shifted further towards him, their arms now touching.

Although Bolin was a man, he still had his senses and weirdly he didn't feel anything for this little girl sitting beside him. He really felt as though she was his own younger sister. In his eyes she was a child that had yet to grow up and he wasn't a pedophile.

He extended an arm and patted her shoulders gently. He then pressed her head to rest on his chest as he slowly hummed trying to calm the little girl down.

Jenny was stiff at first but she slowly relaxed.

There was only two men she felt safe with.

Her older brother Yusheng and Uncle Zhao.

But she also felt comfortable around Bolin and Bojing. She found it easier to talk to Bolin more because he was like a free spirit. While Bojing was nice to talk to, he had a wall that seem impenetrable. He was always careful in talking and didn't probe too much or chat too much probably because he was scared of his wife as Jenny had thought. But Bolin was a chatter box and there was not a time when he ran out of words to say.

She would normally get panic attacks when a man came too close. When it first started to happen, Xiao Ai and Lifen would have to beat the men up regardless of weather it was their fault or not. She had grown well in the span of the few years she had been with Xiao Ai. Seeing the way she beat up her brother in law for her, Jenny felt guilty. She didn't her in laws to not like Xiao Ai because of her.

"Are you calm?" Bolin softly asked, still patting her shoulders lightly.

Jenny nodded and felt strangely comfortable. This feeling of being comfortable with a man was certainly strange to her.

"Normally I would hyper ventilate and get panic attacks when am in the same space with a man but you are just nice and comfortable."

Bolin grunted acting unhappy "Comfortable? Am I your couch that am comfortable?"

Jenny chuckled and continued. "I met sis two years ago. It....it was bad but am getting over it. It never goes away. The nightmares. The fear of the male gender. I try...I try very much but.." by this time she was already choking and he could feel that she wanted to cry, so he patted her shoulders more.

By now Bolin could guess what had happened.

He felt disgusted towards such act and towards the men that committed them.

They never realize the pain it leaves and the impact on the women's life.

He had met Ou Xinyi that way too. It never goes away. He knew it. Although the fool acted bubbly and had multiple boyfriends per month, he knew she was still frightened by what happened then.

"You know...I feel very comfortable with you. Thank you...." Jenny looked up at his bruised yet smiling face, her face slightly red from crying, as she hesitated for a while. "Second Brother Bolin." the blush was very noticeable on her face when she said this. And even when she looked somewhere else, her ear lobes was very red.

Bolin chuckled, trying to hold his laughter in, not wanting Xiao Ai to hear anything. After all with the position they were in, it was easy to misunderstand them.
