Gu Bojing was confused for a while as he turned his head and decided to not talk to her anymore. The more he thought about it, the more infuriated he was with Xiao Ai. She was just using him for her own selfish reasons. She only wanted him as an errand boy. Someone to lick her feets when she wants.

He had hoped at first that she was having him around because she liked him but the truth was something that had confronted him a long time ago. He just didnt want to accept it.

"Zhao Ai, I'm not following you around because you threatened me to. Well partly because I know you are stronger and I don't want to get beaten up. I can't hit you because you are female and you have a bad temper. You don't care if someone else gets ruined as long as you have your way. Victims of bully like me don't just subjects ourselves to bullying, we aren't that stupid. We are only being careful because unlike bullies we have things and people to protect. We have a name and we are responsible and sensible enough to know that a tit for Tat wouldn't be a good move on our side. I am only following you around because....." he paused and glanced at the girl who was probably fuming inside.

After few minutes and Gu Bojing didn't say anymore, Great Ai spoke.

"I don't care. I only think you are very dumb."

"You hurt my feelings when you said I was your errand boy. I thought we were friends. But then again, it's what you do best, hurting peoples feeling. You have none yourself."

The sentence came out of nowhere. Even Gu Bojing didn't expect himself to say such to Xiao Ai. He liked her. Yes.

But there was a line between how she could describe him to people.

He didn't want to get beaten up by her. Yes.

But he wasn't used to bottling up the truth.

She could take it whichever way she wanted.

Great Ai slumped back into the chair, an arm over her eyes. Her thin soft lips moved slowly and incoherently. At first he guessed she was saying she would beat him up once she had the time.

But now, sitting opposite her, he knew what she said with those lips. He knew why she covered her eyes.

"Hmmm..hmm..hurting people? It's what I do best. Just like with Mom and Dad."

If he knew that what was she said back then, perhaps he would have been nicer to her the rest of the week. He was too caught up in his emotions and how she hurt him with her words to think of caring for her own emotions.

Xiao Ai too wasn't very nice. She made him get 2 days of community service.

The only difference between the Xiao Ai back then and now was that she was much worse than before but at least she too had people she cared about.

"Hey...hubby are you still mad at me. I am sorry. I wasn't planning to cheat. I was just on behalf of brother in law..."

Gu Bojing adjusted his hair backwards and smiled at her. "No one plans to cheat Mrs Gu. I don't appreciate you getting too close to girls in such manner, not when we both know you used to like girls."

Xiao Ai looked down at her fingers and wore a pitiful expression. "I am sorry. Hubby, darling...lovely, handsome."

Gu Bojing couldn't bear scolding her, so he cleared his throat and leaned closer. "Make up for it tonight. Remember you still have an unpaid debt."

Xiao Ai gave a stiff smile, she couldn't bring herself to tell him she was on night shift.

"That hubby..." she meekly held onto his sleeve across the table and stared with a puppy eye. "That...the time we went to visit my parents...that...you know fierce..."

Gu Bojing already knew what she was talking about but decided to tease her a little. "What about what?"

This woman..she was pleading guilty and now she's trying to get a car...

This materialistic wife of his. Already asking for a car after an attempt to cheat?!

"That...I am just saying it's nice that we have finally met the parents." She hesitated for a while before continuing. "That hubby do you know I once read a web novel. It's about a lovely couple. The man bought his girlfriend a house even without she asking for it. Awww...how romantic. He buys her everything even expensive jewellery and things like..."

The quiet Gu Bojing raised a brow. "And things like..."

Xiao Ai tapped on her thin lips, avoiding direct contact with his eyes. "And things like you know...house..cars...beautiful cars. Just their love story is so beautiful." She finished with a dreamy look.

"How is it beautiful? The relationship is quite materialistic." He replied slowing twirling his empty tea cup.

Xiao Ai was on the verge of frustration but she still kept her cool. "Come on...at least he still showered her with love. Some people like expensive gifts. Really expensive gifts." she gave him a look of disdain and spoke softly. "But I guess some people are just stingy and unable to spend."

"Expensive things that can be sold. Does he have a wife that robs him off his cufflinks?"

Xiao Ai choked on her spit and coughed. He reached over and patted her shoulder.
